- Vladimir Putin told Nato countries on Thursday they risked nuclear conflict if they sent troops to Ukraine, adding that Russia must strengthen its western military district after Finland and Sweden’s admission to the Atlantic alliance.
The United States and key European allies this week said they had no plans to send ground troops to Ukraine, after France hinted at the possibility.

Our governments don’t always do that what is best and they don’t always do things the people agree with. I personally wish we could all get past this and focus on bettering humanity as a whole. We could be finding a cure for cancer but instead we’re using humans a cannon fodder it’s sad and unfortunate

I’m confused. When he says NATO is “sending troops to “their” country” - how is Ukraine part of their country? Ukraine is an independent, sovereign nation and can invite anyone they want.

I dont understand why people are upset about this statement. Russia isn't going to get 1853'd again.
This is no different to the most aggressive bully in the play ground threatening violence. Its frightening, but we all know that the only way to confront a bully is to stand up to them. The bluff then, usually is rebuked. If usual doesn't ensue, well it is at the Bully's behest. If he did press the nuclear button, the response would be within seconds. Then neither side wins. Putin must realise this. The pivotel fact seems to be that he does not care. This is pretty much the definition of an egomaniac. So, what does humanity do with an egomaniac that chooses to ignore the welfare of humanity, of any nation, to satisfy his own ego? Get rid, that is what. The west should be focusing all their efforts on achieving this aim whilst at the same time educating the Russian people as to the evil that they are governed by.
