    Thanks for taking the time to make and upload this comparison. You did a great job highlighting the pros and cons efficiently and effectively!
    I'm looking at bicycle panniers from Rhinowalk, but this gave me some idea of what to expect in terms of quality. I think I will avoid zippers as much as possible and look for a simple roll top design with fewer points of ingress/failure. I can always add some seam sealer where needed.

    The price difference is too much. A light weight dry bag will keep all the items dry. Good comparison. ...

    Great review. Definitely needed this as I'm trying to deliberate on which of the two to purchase. I think I'll just do exactly what you. Get the Rhinowalk for now then save up for the Kreiga. Thank you

    Thanks for the comparison, The kriega looks more robust over time with the extra bits at stress points.
    Does the clips from Rhinowalk clip into the kriega ,which would make more versatile. I use kriega since 2005,although changed a little over time,my only gripe is ,once everything on outside is wet and you unroll the top,dragging clean clothes out over wet surfaces of outer bag.If they made out of tarpaulin typle material, would dry fast.
    Apart from that ,they are great.

    Excellent work, thanks for the effort, its really helped me. I'm going in on the rhinowalk as the money saving is too tempting. I have a kriega 20 as a tail pack, and it's good, but not 'waterproof ' still have to have an extra drybag inside for safety.

  • @whitemiata
    @whitemiata Před 9 měsíci +3

    Thank you for the excellent review. What I gather is that for someone who doesn't really care about water protection, the rhinowalk is a resonable solution. The kriega is better overall and apparently specifically better when it comes to wet. The rhinowalk has a small edge in terms of storage with their 20L carrying somewhere between Kriega's 20 and 30.
    I just thought I'd throw it out there that for someone who is dead-set on saving money but wants even better than the Kriega waterproofing reliability an option would be to buy a Kriega replacement liner (presumably the US30) and put it inside the liner of the Rhinowalk. Not sure if the correct move there would be the Kriega US20 liner ($18) or the US30 ($23).

    • @spannerworks2709
      @spannerworks2709  Před 9 měsíci +2

      Hey! Great summary. For function, they both work. I’m doubtful about liner interchangeability, as the bags are essentially different shapes - diameter and length. But you could just pop inside stuff in a plastic bag, or get a water resistant backpack cover for the whole thing.

    • @lordnap.
      @lordnap. Před 9 měsíci +1

      @@spannerworks2709 Do you still have both these bags? If there's a chance the liners are compatible that would be beyond amazing.
      Even if theyre not compatible, it probably wouldn't be too hard to sew a zipper onto a better quality drybag and try it with the rhinowalk. I have a couple coming in the mail, might be worth a try.

      It certainly is, can’t argue with that!
      One of my considerations in the upgrade was that the Kriega team did the design ‘legwork’ to develop the features of the bag system originally. By buying Kriega I was doing my little bit for product development, to get more great innovation for bikers!

  • @averageme3583
    @averageme3583 Před 7 měsíci +5

      I’ve not regretted the upgrade, it’s sturdier and the fabric is standing up to daily wear and tear better. Appreciate that we all have different financial considerations, so it’s great to have options that achieve a similar function.

    been a Kriega users from 20L(warranty claimed) to 30L(unused) Drypacks and R3 Waistbag(deteriorating at the moment LOL) and a R22 backpack. The only thing that justifies the price is their 10 year warranty. Yes its more robust in the beginning but will still degrade in few year you'll end up tired of claiming warranty. I love their backpacks but for motorcycle bags, I think Rhinowalk's with your stuff in ziplocks is as good as Kriega's waterproofing and is better than nothing. cheers.

    Very well made video thanks a lot!
    After watching your wonderful comparison video one question comes to my mind. Could it be that the Rhinowalk bag is the 30l version? How come it is exactly the same size as the 30l Kriega bag?

    • @spannerworks2709
      @spannerworks2709  Před 26 dny

      Hi, thanks for the feedback I appreciate it. That’s a sensible question - I scratched my head over that too. On the order and the ticketing, the Rhino was definitely a 20L. I have also borrowed a 30L Kriega from my brother-in-law and it is noticeably bigger again than the Rhino 20L.

  • @jejakakacakberbudibahasa
    @jejakakacakberbudibahasa Před 6 měsíci +1

    Coming from Malaysia, most of biking accessories are really expensive, especially when the price has been converted to Malaysian Riinggit and + the taxes involved. Often I had to resort to Chinese knock-off brands than the real deal since I love the design and practicality of that certain models. The thing I can comment is out of 10 products I bought, 8 failed. And for the authentic ones 10 i bought, about two failed. So better save some money and get the real deal.

    • @spannerworks2709
      @spannerworks2709  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Hi, thanks for the feedback and the question. My commute is 30 mins and it would have been fairly heavy rain. The inside would be fine in a drizzle, but wouldn’t rely on the outside pocket to be very water resistant.

    • @ljack383
      @ljack383 Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@spannerworks2709 ok I have a US20 plus a Rinowalk 30L and yup Kreiga in general make top quality luggage. So all you can really do with the Rinowalk in heavy rain is to put contents in a waterproof roll sack then put all of that in the Rinowalk. Rinowalk luggage is way cheaper to buy than Kreiga so it seems like the waterproofing is one area where it falls down

      @nanaholic01 Před měsícem

      @@Theorangeman.Kreiga is made in China but Rhinowalk is a Chinese company based in Shenzhen and as the video already hinted they basically ripped off the Kreiga design and use cheaper materials and cut corners like how the buckles are not double reinforced that’s why they are so much cheaper.
      Rewarding companies which ripoff designs is not being a smart consumer in the long run.
