Hi, Thanks for answering my request. I went up there earlier this month and had to get out several times on 6619 to move rocks. It was a challenge for sure. I wasn’t able to make it to the top, The road became impassable. Thanks again for doing the great videos !

Hi, Thank you so much for posting these videos. They are very helpful and much appreciated. Could you please provide information on how you were able to get to Quill Canyon from North of the canyon. I was able to get there going North on 6619. When I tried going in from the North the trail was extremely difficult with very high inclines and boulders that prevented me from advancing. The trail that you used was in very good condition and not challenging at all. Thanks again for doing all the great videos. Take care.

There is no trail that comes into that canyon from the north. There's only one trail going in from the south and ending at the highpoint. I came in from the south but didn't film the drive up to the top of the canyon, only the drive back down. I think that trail changes all the time with every rain, it wasn't so bad when I took it. I do remember having to get out and to a little road maintenance on the way in though.

What offroad app do you use to find these trails and navigate.

I use the Gaia GPS app. Also Google Earth is a good way to find trails.

@@subietrails2750 I just tried returned home from that trail. I guess in 4 months since this videos posting the topography has changed because just south of the quill springs the trail has very large rocks that you would need a lot of work to build around. Unfortunately I didn't have tools to fix the road and had to turn around.

@@63medic Yea I remember the trail was pretty bad when I went there compared to last year. On this trip I had to get out of the car a lot to navigate through the rocky bits. Now I just bring a bunch of scrap wood with me to throw down and make a quick ramp over the bigger rocks. It beats moving heavy boulders around like I did before.
