dentistry was a common career in the city, many trained and got their certifications in mainland china that weren’t recognized in hong kong, but HK’s rules didn’t apply in the city so they opened up practices there. even people outside the city traveled there for dental work because it was so cheap yet of decent quality. no regulations did mean some were unlicensed though.
