Fortus is amazing! I've noticed Slash has also picked up a few new tricks and runs for the Not in this Lifetime set...wonder if that's his influence as well! Really love listening to both of them.
Absolutely. If he still had that same stage presence and GnR acted like the most dangerous band in the world...people would still love them. The songs were great and the band was insanely talented, but it was HOW they did things that elevated them.
Because the videos are usually fan-made. The people recording are standing "bellow" the stage and the sound picked up by the phones' microphone therefore gets more bass and mids that are carried well through the ground. Axls voice is in the top range, so it sounds distorted here - most of the highs you hear in the video are from the guitars which are louder. Unless we get proper official recording with the channels mixed up the right way, we won't hear the true performance.
Saw them on TV at Rock In Rio last Saturday...AWFUL VOICE....Saw them Live yesterday in Sao Paulo...FUCKING AWESOME....I really can't answer that question .
Subjective. Both are phenomenal guitarists and bring different aspects and styles to the mix. Fortus is the better player technically but I think Slash has the better sense of melody.
