Completed this on a whim one Wednesday, camping over at Fort William and working my way back solo. 21hrs including diversions and an accident. Found it more mentally challenging than physical, the loneliness at 2am leaving the car to start the last climb was brutal
Considering everyone else does it with someone to share the driving etc, and the car park problems plus the cramp. I'd consider this more than a win! Amazing video thank you!
@@imsocraigy no worries you've inspired my husband to do it next year with some friends though. He has had a heart attack so I won't let him go alone. Love the video and have shown loads of other people too. Again well done and thank you.
Man, I couldn’t believe it when you started Scafell from Seathwaite - that’s 4.5 miles each way… the “tourist” path from Wasdale Head is 2.5 and you can get up and down in under three hours without fear of getting lost. About 45 mins in total longer driving before and after, but 4 miles less walking. Def’ one for next time 👍🏼 Thanks for the video, I’m doing it in summer: start Ben Nevis around 6pm, get back down about 10pm as it’s going dark - drive through the night and start Scafell Pike around 4am as it’s starting to get light. Back down for 7-7:30 - hopefully hit Pen y Pass at 1pm giving me 5 hours. Hopefully running Snowdon if I have enough energy 😀🤞🏼
@@imsocraigy - Cheers Craig - just Google fastest way up Scafell Pike, Wasdale Head is a VERY well used route. The Seathwaite route is a popular, but longer, more scenic route. I’ll be running up Pyg track and, if time’s on my side down the miners as it’s a mile further - I always go up steep and down shallow if I can, usually faster and a lot easier on the knees 😣
Mad impressive doing it yourself and driving yourself. You were literally just over the 24 hours, bearing in mind the time unforeseen traffic and parking takes you achieved it in my eyes. Great tips too
This is the most impressive video I have seen. To do all of that whilst driving yourself is a million times harder. Don't think I have seen anyone else do this solo without a driver - fair play.
Having done yorkshire 3 peaks last year in 11.40 and just did Ben Nevis last week i have no idea how gutted you must have been to miss 24hrs by such a small margin. Hats off to anyone for just completing all 3. Mu knees are still bad a week later.
Good effort! The Yorkshire 3 peaks are next for me.. Just recenlty did the welsh 3 peaks: czcams.com/video/tZyeWMq3D3w/video.html&ab_channel=imsocraigy
Great effort man!! Especially driving aswell, done it was some lads 11 years ago for a charity. But i did a recce on snowdon and sca fell a month beforehand so new exactly the route up the mountains and saved loads of time. We did sca fell from wasdale head up and down in 3 hours.
Did this a few yrs ago, the last mountain was snowdon, was dragging my backside like a tired dog at thd end, 26 hrs but that included two Mcdonalds stop because my son at that time couldn't do 24 hrs without a big mac
Really like the fact you gave the little tips that other videos don't such as the salt, socks and leaving markers for the dark as well as the two trails for Snowden. The first mountain is key as that's where you save all your time so that's why most people start with Ben Nevis as you can pull back a lot of time and as you said its the easiest path. Job well done I think👏
Amazing effort, most people have a driver so they can sleep between climbs so I think to do all that and drive yourself is a different ball game, well done.
Absolute mad lad, good on you. We attempted this last weekend, but starting with Ben Nevis. Not successful in the end due to injuries within our group which was unfortunate, managed Ben Nevis in just over 6 hours, which I was chuffed with. I found it a lot more difficult going down than going up
That was amazing! a huge effort, it was pretty close, if you had just been in the first nearer car park. Not for the faint-hearted though, trekking in the dark!

Fantastic efforts here. We didn't realise you had to prebook car park at Snowdon and ended up adding 2 miles to the journey walking up the road 😂 didn't want to wait for the bus. Bet you were glad for a kip after all that on top of the driving.
Yes mate. With father we done it in summer. Everything similar to You. We started 9am and I finished 7:32am under Snowdon on carpark. Thanks for any tips in video and convincing me it is possible to drive alone and do all 3 under 24h. Regards@@imsocraigy
Totally wrong about the timing, A reasonbly fit walker has no need to be on any mountain in the dark. Start up Ben Nevis late afternoon, upto 1800 hours for the really fit. Drive to Scafell, climb in the early morning, drive to Snowden, finish in daylight. Traditionally it was sea level to sea level, that seems to have gone now.
1 hour 25minutes some one did the ben in they have a race up and down it every year. last time i did it it took me about 6 hours lol although i did walk from the center off fort william thats my exques and i'm sticking to it haha awesome job mate!!
