- Who are you really? ID papers don't tell the whole story - but they're still necessary!
This video started out with my trying to work out how to get a new French ID card -- which meant finding a way around French bureaucracy. But from there, it led me to an unexpected skateboarding experience... and broader musings on the complexities of identity and culture.

Really? I just couldn't get that skateboard to move. But it was fun -- mainly the novelty of it was fun. And doing that and chatting with Max shifted my perception of skateboarders...

I live in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA which is the most diverse city in the US, but not nearly as picturesque as Belgium. I also love and play music. It is funny how core music is to life, not just for humans, but also for animals, maybe even plants. My sister once had a very aloof cat that heard me playing guitar, after that, NOTHING I could do could make that cat dislike me.
I bet you could make a killer video on how all of nature reacts to music.
Hey Wayne, that's very cool what you're saying, I appreciate it. Will I get to 10K subs (let alone 100K)?... I think for that I'd need to find more time to do more videos. I enjoy them so much, but the last year has been so hectic for me outside of CZcams. Maybe if you and others keep enjoying them, I can climb up a little bit in YT rankings. And yes, music -- so important. I think your idea is great, and I'll see if I can incorporate that in a future video.

... or multiple IDs for world travelers! I did get my card, yes (but that was really just an entrée into my meandering video thinking about identity generally).

Thanks! Yup, enjoying trying new things, always! My vape? I don't like candy flavors or anything like that. Mostly a tasteless type of flavor that just works for me, as bad as the habit might be. Sometimes pomegranate though...

you obviously watched the video closely to notice that... but also I hope you understand that I'm trying to say that you just have to be congnizant of your the effects of your choices (and sometimes the causes of them)...
