I prefer the 'live' performances that are professionally filmed from various angles to the 'canned' music video selections put out by the record companies. The 'live' singing at different talk shows, concerts and special events are fantastic since the band can give each song a different twist and interpretation you won't get on the standard video. This is great! LOVE the candles - they seem to go well with the band.

So a girl I've known asked me out a while ago. I said no, because I loved someone else. She was a good friend. Now, we don't even talk. She. Hates. Me. She was funny and cool to hang out with. Now, all the good memories I had of her have been destroyed by one. The image of her running off in tears. I never wanted to hurt her, I never wanted her to cry. But now all I can remember is her tears running down her face. All I feel now is a giant void. There's nothing in me where she used to be anymore. I feel the guilt tearing me apart from the inside. At first, I told myself she would be fine. That I would be fine. I now see how wrong I was. I'm not fine, I feel horrible. I don't love her, but I still want her in my life. I want her to forgive me.
I guess it's too late to apologize...
Advice?
Does this mean you love her? If so, then chase after her and hope you're not too late. If you don't love her and are just being guilty, then walk away from this, because you are hurting both yourself and her.
I seriously doubt she hates you. she probably had a crush on you for a long time, finally worked up the courage to ask you out, which is extremely rare for a girl to do, and then felt ashamed of herself after you said no. If she doesn't want to be around you, it's probably because it's too painful for her to be around you, not because she suddenly hates you. And although the guilt you feel is perfectly normal, and a sign that you're a decent person, you have nothing to apologize for. No one can force themselves to have feelings for someone.
I think the only thing that will heal your friendship is time. and even that may not be enough. If you do want to say something to her, it may actually be best to do it electronically, maybe a Facebook message, since it'd be hard to explain yourself in a text. it's usually better to say everything in person, but if she's avoiding you, she won't be able to face you. let her know how much you value her friendship, and bring up a couple of your fondest memories together, or be specific about what you value in her, but be firm in saying that you will only ever see her as a friend. Make it clear that you did not intend to hurt her feelings, but do not apologize unless you actually said something mean to her. And also make it clear that there's no pressure on her to respond, and that you understand if her feelings for you simply make it impossible for her to be friends with you.
Leaving a message like this will give her the privacy to read it and probably cry about it in her bedroom. It will also give her a chance to read it multiple times over a period of weeks, and slowly accept it, if she's capable of doing so. Most importantly, it will put the ball in her court, and hopefully relieve you of some of the guilt you're feeling. But remember: just as you cannot be "convinced" to love her, she cannot be convinced to be your friend. It is completely her decision. I wish you the best of luck.
