Technically an SD Card is hybrid Transister+Cache+Disc technologies, so save it to one of those & print out your own fancy stickers and that pass for both. Yaay!! (@ half the price of the classic ps1/x copies...)

Curious to how it's a "historic" day when all I get from this is Square Enix making yet another quick cash grab off another ported title.
If you want historic, an original IP or extension would be necessary. This is not historic at all IMO.

I remember when graphics like these were mind blowing even if they were just cutscenes.
I saw a trailer for FFVII in theatres before it released here it was all cutscenes but yeah I was so blown away too.

We were like 7 years old, and my teenage friend was like highschooler. We just watched him played ffvii even we didnt understand a thing. English is not our first language. Good time. Now i am 29 years old, so maybe that guy is in his 39ish.. i hope he living his best.

Cloud was on World of Final Fantasy for the 3ds, he was announced for that moments before his Smash 4 unveil

Is it honestly a surprise ff16 is taking 10 years after the incredible failure that ff15 was after they put so much into it.. An anime a movie the game they planned on it being the biggest ff ever and it completely flopped because the game was awful lol.
At this point the remake is just vaporware and they are so gonna pull a Versus XIII all over again

Your in for a great time, I introduced my frien:d to this game 2 years ago and after 6 1/2 hours straight his jaw hit the floor when it was only then when we got the opening title card. I'm also happy to have replayed it then too because honestly I forgot just how good this game really is.
It's always nice to see Nintendo and Square Enix getting along!

It is still one of the greatest games of all time
It came out on PC at the same time as PS1. Also there was a "remastered" steam release a few years back. I'd recommend the Steam version its actually pretty good.

Solo Nepeon rightfully so. Huge fan of the Xenoblade series. 1 & 2 are brilliant JRPGs.

Jonathan Arwood huh, didn't realize World of Final Fantasy was on the 3DS, so I should say the game where Cloud was introduced is on the Switch, or a Nintendo platform.
World on Final Fantasy isn’t on the 3DS, though that is on the Switch. You may be thinking of FF Explorers which is a 3DS exclusive and let’s your character transform into Cloud (and he has been in a bunch of other Nintendo games)

@@gamermanx3096 it's actually a really neat spinoff game, it takes Zack, a character barely touched on in the original game, and tells his story. Like how he met Cloud and Sephiroth. If you liked the original game, Crisis Core is a must play.

As a 90's kid... playing this game on a Nintendo console... Man, it's hard not to hold back some emotion.
This is the best Final Fantasy that I've ever played. The story, the characters, the music and everything about this game brought me an amazing experience. Truly a masterpiece.

Biffyguy Biffy XV was so bad I had to go back and replay the two games that I hated the most. VIII and the XIII trilogy. I can easily say that XV is the worst. I hate to admit it but I enjoyed XIII and XIII-2 after all these years. I played them when they first released like 10 years ago and I just turned 30. I highly doubt XV will be any better when I’m 40. I think the eventual failure of VII-R will be the nail in the coffin for a once great franchise.

Fun fact: In some parts of the world you can get Final Fantasy VII on a cart for the Switch (albeit with FFVIII as well.) Thus, Final Fantasy VII is now on cartridge, something Square never thought was possible in the 90's.

I always hoped that one-day FFVII would come to a Nintendo system and now that dream has come true! It looks like Smash Bros. not only helped bring Fire Emblem to the west but also helped bring FFVII, FFFIX, and FFX and FFX-2 to Nintendo systems! Thank you Nintendo and Square-Enix!
