There is a lot of fabric in those coats and they all match. They could be up cycled into tote bags or purses or lots of other things. You could stitch up the slashes and embroider stems on them and then add some flowers. Good for you for saving them! 🇨🇦🥰
Are you no longer dumpster diving or making new diving videos? With all due respect, have been watching for years and have already seen most of these dives before. Blending them into a compilation video does not make them new.

I’m thinking after the house got so messed up from that storm, they quit. Plus the fact S7even was getting so many health problems. They were listed as the richest dumpster diving/resellers on CZcams. They have really gotten into PR or spokesman for different company products. I loved the dumpster diving, the fun game ones, the ones where Steph do these crazy things to Steve, opening packages from the viewers. They have been a joy to watch.😊
Those slashes on the coats are in the perfect location for pleats! You could really make it look like that's how it was made.. good luck!

my thought exactly. there were so many of them, take them to a pro and have them use one to repair another. youll get 3 or 4 nice coats to donate/use. if theyre wool, theyre especially worth it.

These are old videos.
The placement of the cuts, you could almost put in darts on the 2 side cuts and sew together the middle cut two thirds of the way down and use some decorative seam tape on each side of the middle cut the rest of the way down. And if you wanted you could add a piece of material that matched the seam tape for a cut little surprise room maker instead of the darts which would definitely make the jacket fit tighter. Good luck. I'm anxious to see what you come up with. You are so beautiful and creative and gifted. You have the best eye I have ever seen for finding gift cards. You see and feel them through the trash bags. Way to go. I love the way you and Steve work together at life. Morning noon and night. I've been admiring you two for years. Way to go ❤🎉

I kept thinking of all the broken pottery pieces that could have used as a mosaic table top, covering a terra cotta pots, wooden boxes etc. You guys know how much I hated seeing how wasteful companies and people are. Makes me so mad and heart sick.

Cut a strips of fabric from one coat to go from top to bottom of each slash. Turn under sides, sew on top of slashes. Undo the collar and tuck in the cover fabric, on the bottom tuck it under. New coat with details on the back. The fabric from one coat could fix many others.

You could stitch up slashes in a way that the look like darts. So they seem more tailored
Use stitch witchery to fuse the cuts back together. Make sure they are butted together first. Then you can do something to embellish them.
The jackets would look cute with flowers on the back or even pleated like everyone else is saying. I know this is an old video so now i have to go find the video where you fixed them. lol

You could take dark brown embroidery thread and hand sew X’ s down each slash and make it look intentional. Also people in wheelchairs like me, you can’t see the back anyway so you could just sew a seam. Great finds. Homeless people aren’t picky when it’s cold. I really like the X
I thought about weaving alike material together in a checkerboard pattern then sew all around each square

Those coats, even if slashed, are valuable for the fabric.
You could do like 3 darts in the back like it was made that way.
You can get the hemming tape and put it back together

Haha she talked about what she could do for 10 minutes it's hard to leave things behind that people need they would be perfect for the less fortunate going on a job interview if fixed and they would donate them for just that but even if she doesn't think of a way to fix them her neighbor will use them to make fidget fabrics. people with dementia autism and kids (learning to button zip or tie) love things like that.

Why do these places break things, if they are no longer any good for sale they are wrote off by the company and there is no loss involved. Leve them alone or donate to shelters

Some stores are alloted so much per year for theft.. insurance covers it.. to me, this is ripping the system off. Especially when we see what is in those dumpsters.. insurance needs yo be better at finding out the truth and stop paying our so much money, which goes back against the customers in higher prices..
