    I just picked up a 2012 zx6r a week ago. Just about to hit 15k miles and will need a service. Ill do most of it myself but I won't mess with the valves. Been reading this service cost can vary depending who does it and if any valves need adjusting. Bike runs great so ill take care of everything I can and go from there. Have oil change supplies on the way, will pick up spark plugs locally. And then will check the air filter when everything's apart. And I'll need tires as well. Otherwise the bike is near new condition.

      @thesighbored  Před 3 lety

      Good that you manage to get a goof condition one. As long as you keep maintaining it well you'll have no issues with it.. Enjoy your ZX-6R, ride safe and safe ride!

    if the Versys 300 has the same engine, does it mean that to get to the air filter, the steps are probably the same ones?
    i never saw the way the tank folds up, it's pretty cool.

    • @thesighbored
      @thesighbored  Před 7 lety

      I can't say for sure, which same engine are you referring to? Air filter is usually below the fuel tank, you'll need to check which bolts to remove to lift the tank off/up to reach the filter.

    how was the front part of the zx-6r weight supported? i couldn't see any stands, was the bike hoisted? where was the hoisting point then? thanks :)

    • @thesighbored

      Yes, with a hoist, hoisted via the triple tree.

    I thought the original 1 is 180/55-ZR17? Any different feel when u ride with 190/55/17?

    • @thesighbored
      @thesighbored  Před 9 lety

      190 is a little harder to flip left to right, but according to others it has a bigger contact patch when leaned. You can feel the difference. I might change back to 180 next time, just wanted to try out a 190.

    Tinggi x maintenance untuk Kawasaki ninja

    • @thesighbored
      @thesighbored  Před 5 lety +2

      Depends on how frequent you use it, how fast the mileage / wear & tear parts need to be replaced, not that pricey if compared to continental bikes.

    berapa cost maintenance?.

    • @thesighbored
      @thesighbored  Před 10 lety

      You'll need 3.x L of oil, and depend on what type of oil, semi or fully, the cost will vary. Fully will set you back roughly MYR 280 for 4L (you keep the balance), and the filter is around MYR 50. Semi will be slightly less. Per manual, oil change is every 5k kilometers.

      +TheSighBored even if ninja250, using semi-synthetic lube oil, still can use till 5k km?

    • @thesighbored
      @thesighbored  Před 8 lety

      Yup, you can. Standard maintenance interval is 5K km. Some even say it is possible to make 10K km intervals, but it depends on what you are comfortable with.
