He trick-or-treated at Liberace's house, planned a two-day stay in Amsterdam that ended a month later with him escaping the city under the cover of darkness, and was Bob Hope's favorite altar boy. Alone, these anecdotes go well with a fistful of peanuts at a cocktail party. But on top of all this, he also co-wrote the longest-running song on the Billboard Top 100 (Jewel's "You Were Meant for Me"), had a debut solo album that earned three and a half stars in Rolling Stone, and was awarded the title of "San Diego's Most Influential Artist of the Decade" at the San Diego Music Awards. What you end up with is one of the most engaging, twisted, and prolific songwriters of our time - Steve Poltz. Poltz has cultivated his reminiscences into a heartbreakingly gorgeous collection of songs for his new album, Traveling. - Hudba
Steve never disappoints
John Poltz is a great guy. He is a wonderful storyteller. I've heard him a lot, but I can hear him for hours. He's a wonderful person and I can't wait to see him again!
Very close
Heard him interviewed today on Adelaide’s ABC 891. Awesome interview, this guy can really tell a story. Be great to hang out with him and listen to his stories. 😅
"It was only 38 seconds & I said Fuck-It"... lol!
This guy wrote a lot of Jewel’s songs. They actually dated at the end. Look at Woodstock 1999. Woodstock 1999. Who will save your soul. 7 minutes into the video. Basically he’s Canadian born, looks like a young Neil Young, plays guitar like Neil Young. Neil young took Jewel on her first tour opening up for him. Made her famous after that tour. Steve rules.
She’s asking for kitty milk after lol.
Good thing Jewel made him turn around and get the napkin with the lyrics on it when it blew out the window of the car.
I love this song when he sings it but it's so hard to find a version he doesn't talk through
😆 I died
Billy Pilgrim doesn’t “travel through time” by choice or choose his destinations he is “unstuck in time” to where he views time as all happening at once more like the tralfalmadorians understand time.
This is more of a traditional country version of what Jewel sang. Huh. "From the guy's point of view". He and Jewel wrote this song together. He's a talented musician, all to be sure... but I still prefer Jewel's version. Go figure.
Thanks for putting this up anyway, Moshcam.
