    Thanks for posting this. My bankroll has been growing pretty steadily and my last 5 sessions it has bees decimated by 50%. I feel like I’ve been playing solid poker except for two big hands. A lot of 3 bet fold and calling down some bad beats. Keeping the head up!!

    Curiosity killed the cat… 😂 very tough session. When every time you think the guy can’t have it and yet he does. It happened at my last 2/5 session where I lost 1000 to one individual player in the span of three separate hands in the span of 2 hours. Keep grinding out the content! Love the vlog!!

    For your trip eights hand, I have found that a very small bet on the river after checking back the turn works very well. Throw out $25 and he will call you with ace high. And even better, that very small bet will sometimes induce a spazz raise.

    • @BluffaloSam
      @BluffaloSam  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I use small sizes OOP on river a lot, I just thought this guy has so much air here I'm gonna give him as much rope as possible

    This seems like a really aggro game. I haven't seen that many 4 bets in many 2-5 games.

    • @BluffaloSam
      @BluffaloSam  Před 11 měsíci +1

      When 2/5 is the highest stake run in a city of 3 million (save for a single table of 5/10 on weekends) the game gets quite a bit tougher.

    I like a bet on the turn with the aces to polarize your range when the 2nd six hit. betting big on river is a bit too strong but if you bet turn and river using the 6 as a bluff card then his thought process would lean more towards a call since the story seems more bluffy

  • @AmongUsAcademy

    06:30 if someone buys in for $200, and raises to $15, you 100% can 3bet to $50 or $55.
    Those people aren’t thinking “omg that’s 25% of my stack”, they will still call with the same range that calls $40 imo

  • @StreetSoulLover
    @StreetSoulLover Před 11 měsíci +1

    This isn't a regular 2/5 game, it's hyper aggressive!
    I would be nitting it up and making sure I know who the aggro-fish are, so we can just call off vs them

    • @BluffaloSam
      @BluffaloSam  Před 11 měsíci

      The best way to combat aggression is with even more aggression. If you Nit it up and call down vs them, you let them realize 100% of their equity. You really have to start playing back at them, even adjustments like checkraising middle pair as the OOP 3bet caller makes a lot of sense.

    • @StreetSoulLover
      @StreetSoulLover Před 11 měsíci

      @@BluffaloSam I tend to look at this in an even more simplistic fashion.
      If they are overbluffing a lot! Why do I ever need to push anything but value? I understand the point about Equity Realistion but it cuts both ways, they end up at rivers wtih very weak ranges whereby we can call off with some more marginal stuff and still be good more often than not. Maybe its just me, but x/r flops OOP with 3rd pair feels like a recipe for disaster

    • @BluffaloSam
      @BluffaloSam  Před 11 měsíci

      @StreetSoulLover It's not the best strategy, it sounds good in theory, but it's really just playing into their game.

    • @Nosirt
      @Nosirt Před 11 měsíci +3

      You can also randomize your bluffs or calls or raises using the suits.
      For example: when facing a 5bet with AK you can jam or call or fold in randomly: jam if you have ace of spades, call if you have hearts and fold if clubs or dimonds. This insures you are playing 50% of AKs and 25% is your 5bet range.
      You can make these on all type of probability randomized.

    • @BluffaloSam

      Vancouver, BC. Parq casino sometimes runs it, but most of the games are at Grand Villa

  • @ganger631
    @ganger631 Před 11 měsíci

    Surprised they allow you to record/ or you got away for so long. Any merit in playing are parq? is the game softer? I feel like cascades is softer and hardrock has more incentives

    • @BluffaloSam
      @BluffaloSam  Před 11 měsíci

      2 casinos don't care as long as there aren't faces. The others haven't said anything, Parq is usually good for friday nights as it is downtown. I hate cascades, the slot machines, the darkness, the smell, and the DJ blasting away dubstep like 30 feet away. NTY. Hard rock is good, but 2/5 doesn't run consistently, and it's quite far for me.

      @BluffaloSam  Před 11 měsíci

      I think it's a bit different as just outs = pure equity, as I can still hit an offsuit J to null his A/K outs.

  • @nicholi2789
    @nicholi2789 Před 11 měsíci

    I liked this one. Well done. I think you played much more reasonably this Vlog and not so over aggressive.
    Though I do think you got overly sticky in a few spots here.
    I do hate the way you played the second aces hand. Should have just jammed pre flop. When you flat a cold 4 bet it just looks so strong so he knows you have a huge hand. Though he gladly gets it in pre with AK and a lot of other hands.
    You’re finding your legs in 2-5 though!
