- A little slap-together of all occurrences of Tim Curry in the 1996 Virgin Interactive game Toonstruck.
I got this game to run in DOSBox without problems, just run the installation programme in the emulator and it'll run.
Most of the videos weren't recorded in the game, but were made directly from the disk, using RAD Smacker Player
Some videos are part full-screen, part half-screen. In the game, they'd show up normal, but in theSmacker Player, the top half of the video plays but the bottom half is frozen on a frame until the next full-screen section starts. So there is nothing wrong with your set.
In Toonstruck, Drew Blanc (Christopher Lloyd) is an animator on the Fluffy Fluffy Bun Bun show. One night he is transported to the homeland of his creatures, Cutopia. He meets the adorably funny Flux Wildly (Dan Castellaneta, not in vid), a zany rabbit. Together they must rescue Cutopia from the evil Nefarious (Tim Curry), who has builta flying saucer with a beam that turns everything malevolent.
Opening: sound bite is the test sound you'll hear during installing
First vid: Nefarious first appearance: he is told by his fortune teller that there is an alien in Cutopia who might be a menace.
Second: Nefarious sends his henchmen out to get the alien
Third: Nefarious zaps the countryside and the Carecrow
Fourth: Nefarious gets cross with his henchmen for having lost sight of Drew. This section misses a few lines if you managed to keep Drew out of prison.
Fifth: Drew has gotten trapped into Nefarious' dungeon.
Sixth: Nefarious sets his henchmen to guard the armory.
Seventh: Nefarious is out chasing the Cutifier (flying saucer that zaps everything to cute) and sends a message to the security guard.
Eighth: Trying to get into the Handprint Security Door with your own hand. This is the only video recorded in DOSBox.
Ninth: Start of endgame.
Nefarious survives the end of the game to return in the sequel of Toonstruck, which never came. In spite of its qualities the game made a huge loss. - Hry
Tim Curry, Christopher Llyod, Tress MacNeille, Jim Cummings and Rob Paulsen all wrapped into a daring interactive game filled with Spongebob music? My word.
I think the musics of spongebob is before tv series in 1999 beceuse the game Toonstruck is was released in 1996.
I’m hearing Tim Curry AND Jim Cummings!~
This game had so many great voice actors
Happy 75th Birthday, Tim Curry.
Hear all evil, see all evil, speak all evil. Interesting character trio and voice actors.
When Tim Curry's character wakes Christopher Lloyd in the cell to engage him, that was when it got epic for me.🤩 Man he acts like he is dealing with one hell of a hangover🤣
For once, you’re absolutely right. I’m not going to… I already have.
I absolutely LOVE that line
Tim Curry is brilliant at villain roles!! His role as Nefarious in the game is great inspiration for a character for my idea of a Toontown film, called Malifiwicked, who bears a resemblance to Nefarious, and is ruler of the Bad Lands, who plans on taking over Toontown!
No thanks.
Curry's impressive sinister voice for a main villain as the dark lord.
Nigel Thornberry crossed to the dark side
Kawaii desu-san Tim Curry IS the Dark Side.
And got nasal passage surgery.
@@pikppa Holy crap, he got possessed by Kilokahn!
The live-action character is Christopher Lloyd.
Danny Lee you don’t say
Clue reunion
I saw the Nostalgia Critic review the 2000s Carlie's Angels. Tim Curry looked like he was having fun. This guy is so charismatic.
When your so talented so can't help but enjoy your work incredibly so.
His minions sound like Pete, and Yakko Warner.
Goku Black, OH, MY STARS.
Not shocking, considering it's Jim Cummings and Rob Paulson. I'm not sure who the third actor is though.
Matthew Nisbet The third actor is Corey Burton.
Christopher Lloyd and Tim Curry are awesome together.
This is my headcanon voice for Overlord in IDW's Transformers comics.
I wish Tim does more voices.
man, the voice talent in this game!
12:30 Tim Curry Jim Cummings Rob Paulsen Tres McNeil Cory Burton and Christopher Lloyd.
3:31 Remember, reanimating your miserable corpses wasn’t easy. Squeezing the life back out of them would be.
2:15: This scene plays out with slightly different dialogue if you manage to avoid being caught by the henchmen up to this point, since they don't think Drew is locked in a cell.
Awesome, I'd never noticed!
Doc! We gotta stop Nefarious! We just gotta doc!
Don’t forget that Cat sounded like Mirage from Aladdin and Binky the cat From Cyberchase
drew blanc...must be a homage to Mel Blanc, the voice actor for most Looney tunes.
Matthew Bane it’s also a pun which I didn’t get until very late
The game is now compatible with ScummVM plus theres a petition on Facebook and Petitionspot to get the game re-released with the 2nd half of the game that was taken out before release.
Ah! Tim Curry, at his most British! 🧐 Well in video games, at least 😅
I can hear skullmaster 😊
This honestly looks like an unofficial "Animaniacs" game, but that may just come from the fact that it stars Rob Paulson and Tress MacNeille...
To tell the truth- Count Nefarious has been callous, obsessive, unfriendly, narrow-minded, thoughtful, negative, emotionless, funny, accountable, reasonable, independent, organized, upbeat, sinister, cold-blooded, overconfident, unswerving, naughty, testy, no-nonsense, earnest, fiendish, ambitious, roguish, ill-tempered, offensive, unconventional and sneaky.
Why don't the editors of video games and cartoons leave such wonderful laughs, breaths and clucks that Tim does in the vocal track like they did in this game? Such Idionsyncasies are part of what makes a person's voice attractive, unique and valuble.
Tim sounded just simply delicious! Too bad Nefarious had to be a rather...unfortunate-looking git.
The animation was very good, too.
I'm hearing Pete and Yakko.
never heard of this. his laugh ~le sigh~
I honestly didn't know this cartoon existed, why didn't anyone tell me about this...?
Is it me or does he almost sound like Tony Jay?
NostalgicEasteregg they used to work together a lot of times
NostalgicEasteregg incidentally, Tim and Tony were main villains in The Mighty Ducks series
Anybody besides me a little creeped out here????
1:27 Find them at once and lock them away.
Forgive me majesty but for how long?
Well, gosh I don’t want to seem unreasonable, so how about...forever.
Mok
That would have been cool as hell.
