You should check into what happened to guns that are confiscated and no longer needed for legal action. Police department and sheriffs department in the past had some strange things happen. In Westmoreland County, a sheriffs deputy about 20 years ago was arrested for selling guns that had been in evidence lockers but no longer needed. The sheriff was stunned to find this out. This had been a practice of some deputies for decades and I found out through a licensed firearm dealer who bought some of these guns and resold them. I think they've tightened up their policy but I can't be sure, no one's talking.

So what's the problem? Police trade-in guns are usually great deals. It's fiscally responsible to trade in old guns when buying new ones just like it's smart to try to get something for an old car when buying a new one.

These guns are normally sold by licensed gun dealers, but break ins and straw purchases put them in the hands of criminals.

No problem here! Anyone can buy them including Poe Poe can be used so what is the problem maybe if you destroy them if that is what you want other than that it will get owned and used. No problem here stop crying about nothing

The question is how do so many police guns end up with criminals.
