- Kenneth MacMillan's Manon, drawing on the novel by Abbé Prévost and set to music by Jules Massenet , is now running at the Palais Garnier until 15 July. Altogether, seven casts have been scheduled to perform the leading protagonists. Two of the company's newest étoiles, Guillaume Diop and Marc Moreau, who will be making their debuts as Des Grieux during the run, are featured in this short film (Diop partnered by Amandine Albisson) in rehearsals with Karl Burnett and Agnès Letestu. www.operadeparis.fr/billetter...

BEAUTIFUL DANCING!! I hope these dancers get to preform the role they've worked so hard for. Their dancing is stunning.
The most chic and intelligent ballet company in the world. Guiillaume and Marc insights are incredibly compelling and inspiring. Marc particularly. He has an airy and dreamy sensitivity that is so enticing and makes you want to see and know more of him. I have seen his interpretation of Des Grieux and it literally blew me away. His Des Grieux was just so enticing and you just sided with him, no matter what he did or thought. What an artist.

Two of the most difficult roles to dance: Manon and des Grieux. The roles require deep understanding of the characters motivation and emotions in order to convince the audience of their veracity... Otherwise, the audience is not emotionally engaged with the performance... Good luck to all the dancers
