Join the Bayerisches Staatsballett for World Ballet Day 2023: Ballet Director Laurent Hilaire leads the rehearsals for Angelin Preljocaj's LE PARC. The ensemble is rehearsing act 1 and principals Madison Young and Julian MacKay rehearse a pas de deux. Pianist Simon Murray plays Wolfgang A. Mozart.

je suis tellement heureuse de revoir Laurent Hilaire, les danseurs ont une carrière si courte, c'est parfois trop dommage ...... pouvoir transmettre ce ballet de Preljocaj qu'il a contribué à rendre mythique (il a créé le rôle principal) est encore de la danse ! Il faut tellement de précision, d'énergie et d'exigence pour arriver à un résultat satisfaisant.
Merci Laurent Hilaire pour tout ce que vous nous avez apporté et continuez à faire.❤

While watching the rehearsals I was filled with deep emotion and moved to tears. Finally, I was able to watch long long-awaited Laurent's coaching after 16 years of waiting😍 What's more, program is "Le Parc" and it's in English which I can understand🙌. Especially, ”Ardeur” in "Le Parc", I love this scene danced by Laurent most among all ballet in the whole world. His dance with "Go through" "Timing" ”slow and rapid” ”great power and flexibility" like that is soooo special, divinely consummate art. And Laurent's instructions lead dancers to ideal performances words by words. Thank you so much for showing us the greatest of all treasures. I hope very much to see the show in person in the near future. I'm crossing my fingers for you and the shows.🤞🐞🍀
