In Germany they are quite overrated i think. Most of the people that buy it are arround 20 years old and just want a loud car. Nothing more nothing less. I actually like the idea of buying one myself in a few years when there are used double clutch automatics available and tune tf out of it :D
I work in a Hyundai dealership, so have seen hundreds of these over the past 3 years.
I can say, we have not seen any real common problems relating to this car, even customers who drive them hard, and trackday them.
Yes every car sometimes has things fail, and the i30n is just the same, but they have been isolated things, few & far between.
Personally, the ride is a bit too harsh, and the exhaust is a bit too loud, for me to run one as a daily, but maybe if I was younger (and single) it wouldn't be an issue !
Edit : a DCT is planned for this vehicle soon, along with the i20n :-)

@@janh9030 No news yet, although I have been on furlough for 2 months, so when I go back, I will try to find out :-)
@@DjNikGnashers so i'm driving mine for around.. 3 months now, it has some small issues, not something that can't be fixed with the 5 year warranty. Mine has a problem with the differential lock gear but it has to get changed and we gucci. Other people with the panoramic roof are having issues with noices in highspeed manouvers. As you said, every car has things fail, but hyundai is very generous and very polite with the 5 year warranty without any km restrictions. I love mine, will tune it next month with a widebody and a new design and will upload a small video of it showing that all. Can't wait and I CAN 100% recommend buying this car! I have seen 1 car in our workshop with a gearbox fault, which was obviously replaced under warranty, but that was a one-off fault, I have not seen another yet.
I have seen some small faults but nothing which is 'common', just isolated small issues.
It is proving to be a very reliable car.

Hello, It´s Hyundai i30 N Thierry Neuville Limited Edition. Same car, only has the stripe.
@@alfonsofrances2766 Stripes and a numbered plate (35 made where number 1 went to Thierry Neuville). Were only available in Belgium and Luxemburg

Hyundai really blew new life into the brand. The face of Hyundai totally changed. The i30n is a nice car, but a little underpowered in comparison to similar other brands cars. They're not there yet. But they are well on their way
You have to understand this is the start to the n brand. They can only go up from here.
Not really. It's the same price as a standard Golf GTI and it has 35hp more. If you want the same power and equipment from Renault or Ford you pay at least 5.000 EUR more, for a car that's less fun to drive.

It isn't 150 and 175, its 250 and 275 (but they say that the real hp of the second one is 290 ≈). I have the 275 one and its fucking amazing 😍

Yes, maybe not power-wise but the 275 hp has the fancy limited slip diff and much more kit (power-seats, heated steering wheel, alcantara seats, ...)
It also has 19" wheels instead of 18" in the 250 one

I had one and sold it! Steering was too stiff even on eco and was uncomfortable. Clutch slipped constantly also and was so hard to drive. I have driven other cars of similar category and this was by far the hardest to drive.

Maybe you should have turned off lane keeping assist. It can make the steering stiff because it wants to stay directly in the middle of the lane

Your right, unfortunately mine bogs Down alot and struggles for grip on acceleration :( alot of people have advised me to swap tyres to Pilot 4s and then it's apparently pretty wild off the start line.
