OVI WAS NEVER A PLAYOFF CHOKER. 21 points in 14 games during this run WOW. This was when ovi WAS THE CAPS HE WAS THE WHOLE TEAM AND HE WAS THE BEST IN THR WORLD
Man those Caps teams had some unbelievable shooters. Ovechkin, Semin, Fedorov, Green, Kozlov. Might be the best collection of shooting ability on one team I've ever seen.
if only they had prime holtby as their goalie, they would have gone all the way and won the finals. Ovechkinw as on a mission in 2009

I came to say the same thing.. he was the best player to ever lace em up in these seasons. If you go back and watch gretzky or mario, jagr or go forward and watch sid and say they were anywhere near the player this guy was at this period you are in complete denial. This is the greatest player ever. Ill tell you every game here he was criticized in canada this season. Yes i kid you not and it hurt the game that this was being hidden because he was russian

Anywhere near this guy? Mario gpg average was 0.80 in 2002. The leagues goals per average was 2.62. This late season it 3.02 and Ovi gpg was 0.70. Basically Mario Hassan a higher as goals per game average in the lower scoring era. Keep in mind Mario was 35 and Ovechkin was 34. Also Mario hadn’t and played hockey for three years, and had cancer before all this. Guarantee you won’t see a hockey player do that again.
The amount of energy and aggression Ovi showed 15 years ago is legendary. The man was like that energizer bunny on steroids. He was something.

Miss this energy. He brought me to my feet every shift. Now it just isn't there. Still a big fan, but just watching last game he doesn't skate at all.
You cant play like that all career. He did it 5 seasons. Avarage player do it only in play off. Your body and physical state is limited.

Every Ovechkin Goal have you considered doing a video on the Backstrom/Ovechkin duo? I believe Backstrom gets overlooked by most of the league and he's one of my favorite Caps players. Plus, he's assisted on a little over half of Ovi's goals in his career
