    This solo is such a masterpiece…I’ve seen the cats play this number live…the crowd roars in applause when he finishes with that cascading descending line…its maybe the most beautiful pure distillation of Brian’s playing…great lesson bro u do it justice 🔥👍💯

    Magnificent. Thank you for sharing this. One of the most beautiful solos in rock'n'roll, IMHO, and you teach it so well.

    I’m really sorry. I just accidentally put a thumbs down because computers aren’t my thing. They are invaluable for this kind of learning though. Before computers,Brian Setzer stuff wasn’t tabbed and no one could fathom half of it out. He is unique. You are obviously a man who has put the effort in and the fact that you have been generous enough to share your hard work,puts you in a small margin of people. Many thanks

    You're welcome, thanks Russ!
    Yes, I'm pretty sure the positions and shapes are accurate.
    It's difficult to always be 100% sure but I think this is more or less it.
    As mentioned in one of my other videos though, this particular song on the record sounds a half step down, not exactly but more or less.

    Awesome! Thanks! I noticed from the official video that Setzer definitely plays the tricky part, sliding from the B chord to the C#m chord by actually playing a Bm slide to C#m and then a B major, (which is what I believe you are doing at first?)

      Hi. I read your comment and I,d like to ask you a question. Do you know what's the name of the last chord he plays? 11th fret. The one who ends the song. Thanks in advance!

    Thank you so much for posting this! I am sixty-one and have been playing guitar since I was TEN . . . and do you think I could figure this out? lol Brian is my inspiration and of all his marvelous inventive playing, this little solo is probably my favorite bit of his playing . . so elegant, so sweet . . . and now thanks to CZcams and you I am finally GETTING it! So cheers from San Francisco and thanks again!

    Hi matey, I’m so appreciative of your lesson, however I felt as a novice rather puzzled by the chord lesson on this song, I was a wee bit scrambled. Any chance of trying an upgrade lesson? However this solo lesson is tip-top, hats off!

    hi what amp are you using and also what delay ? tks for the video

    • @steb74
      @steb74  Před 10 lety +1

      Thanks!
      I just plug into my sound card and use various amp modelling plugins, I think 'amplitube' lately.
      It's just a bluesy/overdriven sound and then I add a little reverb and slapback echo, no specific settings or anything to be honest man.
      Just that general idea and then maybe adjusted slightly depending on the song.
      Cheers!

    What tune should the guitar be in? Standard?

    • @jackwalters742
      @jackwalters742 Před 4 lety

      Standard. When you see Brian play it live (I hope he comes back from the tinnitus!) he brings out a "B" tuned guitar so he can sing it in a better key as his voice has mellowed a bit with age. But, he still plays it the same way.
