I’d say the closest thing I’ve seen to the Revenant on fiction is Eric Draven from The Crow comic and movie(RIP Brandon Lee)if you haven’t seen it check it out. Great movie and book. Basically the character is murdered along with his fiancé on his wedding day brutally as they raped her in front of him and shot his ass out the window afterwards. So a year later the Crow brings him back to exact his revenge and he hunts them down and kills them all while quoting Joy Division lyrics lol. Has enhanced strength and speed, innate combat knowledge, a healing factor, and the Crow magically tells him where all his victims are. Basically the spitting image of a Revenant.
The Crow is a revenant
Ghost Rider is a good example of a Revenant, but don't forget about The Crow
Deathlock was a great band. Oh wait, wrong Death...oh
Undead!Sponsored By Darkvision! Everyone gets that
The Dresden Files, through the Fey, does a goos job explaining the importance of a pact. For the patron they are investing some of their power into the warlock and fufilling their end of a contract is akin to a compulsion. I’d imagine if a patron violates their pact, the power they shared would be permanently cut off.
Hell yeah I love the October episodes! Halloween is probably my favorite holiday
the year and a day deal was brought in to ensure the participants had the entireity of the agreed upon time including the say in which the deal is made.
I hadnt thought about Ghost Rider...... personally, the Revenant made me think of Brandon Lee in The Crow
Speaking of critical role, vax'ildan became a revenant, although I do not remember if Matt ever explained that
YES More star content I’m ready to play gardenscapes for 40 mins whilst listening to this 🤩
You guys have the best channel! Top notch lore and commentary about some fun and spooky creatures.
So Leo DiCaprio is running around for a year to kill Tom Hardy. Guessed they had to film that movie real quick without reshoots!
You guys totally rock keep up the awesome content you are now my favorite youtube channel
If you were looking for an example of a Revenant.
My warlock has to act as his patrons link to the material plane, so I think his existence is holding the pact.
Dungeoncast: most players wouldn't want to play as the embodiment of the Raven Queen.
The best example of a revenant might be Kratos. Just too damn angry to die.
That Gatorade line cracked me up! Love you guys. :)
You could use a Swarm of Oni-Driders
