Almost guaranteed not to be. It could have a better schedule/structure but Ubisoft will never have the amount of backing and funding as any Activision product. We clown the cod league but it's bigger and better than a lot of other fringe esports/competitive scenes

@@Drizz1717 never in my lifetime have I seen Ubisoft committed to anything besides a quick cash grab or a one and done title. Assassin's creed, far cry, etc great titles but they'd rather pursue xdefiant 2 then invest in XD1 if it's the same Ubisoft we've seen for 2 decades

As a optic fan, I absolutely despise when the players will make subtle tweets about why they lost and tweet excuses for why they got slammed, just say ggs and move on. Them doing that literally is the reason that the fanbase is so cringe at times. If you wanna prove that a series was cheese, get tf in practice and show everyone. Not just crying on twitter about it

I agree, Hecz has called them out for it too. In my opinion instead of making an excuse (even if they think the server excuse was valid) just laugh about it internally, and don't let it affect the team.
So ive only watched like 10 episodes so far. But this is by far the best cod podcast. It is so easy to listen to this for 3 hours. I couldn’t imagine listening to the other pods for that long. Rab ive cooked you in the past but its great getting to know the man behind the camera

Dude i’m so tired of this negative energy every single year. Ever since MW19, the game has been “boring stale and trash”. I can actually agree with that take minus CW AND MW3. I just got on the game after 2 weeks of not playing, and yes i have to sit forward and try cuz sbmm is ridiculous but the game is good man. ttk is good, movement is the smoothest its ever been, they snapped with the maps this year, I’m so confused about the trash talk on this game. If we’re talking competitive, yes the spawns are not the consistent and it fucks up the integrity of competing, but I still feel like this game and CW has been the most enjoyable games to watch. All that being said, I think BO6 is going to be one of the best CODs ever, it looks amazing from what we have seen.

The formal discussion is certainly a fun one to have but we're neglecting the reason he's potentially quitting halo, he's tired of scrimming. Cod is arguably more prep/practice/scrims then halo he got burnt out in CW, got burnt out of halo, and we expect him to jump back to the highest time commitment of joining a top CDL team and grind full time again. He has the skill to do it obviously, i question his drive considering hes burnt out twice now from competition

He became popular because he joined Optic. If anything when he went back to Halo he MIGHT have pulled a few Optic fans to at least watch an Optic Halo match, but they didn't really stick around or care. They were watching Optic CoD players like Scump, Shotzzy, Dashy, etc. I highly doubt there are a bunch of Formal fans that are magically coming back for him playing CoD. Same with Scump, they're already watching. The ONLY thing that brings more people into the competitive scene of a game is the popularity of the game itself with the general public (casual players). That's been the case since the beginning days of Halo/MLG and into CoD and has ALWAYS been.

3:18:06 sure optic isn't firing but we always react like this after they are two rounds away from a 5-0 series. Start of VG they lose a bunch of round 11s and people overreacting. They get schooled by Vegas sure, but the boys selling all of their stock after optic get back from vacation and are slacking. Went from "they just won a major on clutching" to "search isn't something you can learn do they have the ice?"
This OpTic with Kenny and Pred do seem a bit different from previous OpTic teams. Last year's OpTic looked unstoppable in qualifiers then flamed out at events. Feel like this OpTic has fight in them, even if they're still sometimes inconsistent.
