I can't tell you why , but Vincent Gigante was my absolute favorite Mafia Boss .
Like Miss Rita , I too have the gift.
And I sensed that The Chin was the best of the Mafia Dons .
I could feel his complexity . Brutal and Ruthless , and he had a fanatical aspect to him . But I can also sense that he had a caring and compassionate side to him .
He was also very very brilliant .
There was a great deal of moral goodness to him. He was charitable , and a devout Catholic , and most importantly , he was never greedy . I can sense a very strong spiritual connection between this father and daughter . A connection that continues to this day.
She may not believe it , but I think she inherited her psychic gifts from him. I say , this because this psychic ability is strong in the family . It comes from his mother's side of the family .

I think her book was called something like "My Uncle Al". This is from a website about her: "Today, Deirdre is a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren are aware of her family’s past, but this wasn’t always the case. Persecuted for her family ties as a child and young adult, Deirdre chose to hide her true family name from everyone but her husband, Bob, for many years. My heart goes out to this woman. My father wasn't in the mafia but his father was a rum runner many years ago and spent time in prison for killing a man. My late father was very physically abusive and an alcoholic but he joined AA and was sober for the rest of his life. You never really get over that kind of trauma but I learned to forgive my father which was very healing for me and I pray for him daily. He also had a very physically abusive childhood as well. Imagining him as a little boy suffering abuse was also helpful for me. I also got my love for the Rosary and Our Lady from my father. I'm sure Our Lady interceded for her father at the hour of his death since he was so devoted to her. I'm also sure he loved his daughter very much but he probably experienced himself as a very wounded person which accounts for his ability to "feign" mental illness for so long. Lastly, I'm also sure he prayed even more than 5 Rosaries a day while in prison.

Let’s be honest here she could easily start reeling off stories about her fathers associates, and her fathers family and their history with the mob. She instead sticks to her father, the man many recognise but very few actually ‘knew’. Great interview, and I like your connection, relaxed and easy! This really was a beautiful interview; thank you for doing it. My Mother shared a lot of family secrets with me. After her passing, I found out they were all true and then some. My grandfather, her Father, was James LaPenna, bootlegger and Majestic Theatre producer. Lived in Brooklyn, NY and Palm Springs Florida. His family Immigrated from Italy: he began as a bartender, was in Vaudeville with my grandmother - then real estate mogul and theatre producer, and ended up on the infamous Johnny Torrio big trial; FBI file and all. Then Al Capone took over. Grandpa LaPenna was a wonderful man and helped so many people and other family's. The 1929 Great Depression left him and my grandmother with nothing. Their marriage is movie worthy 📽🎬 she lived until 99 years old; he did not live as long, most likely for putting up with her shenanigans. But it's all good. My Mom loved him dearly ❤

Michael, I thoroughly enjoyed this interview. Rita, in all her generosity was willing to meet up with me in the tri cities just to help me with my diabetes and to heal myself after I relocated to the Midwest. I myself have the gift of claircognizance, and Rita is so very interesting and inspiring. Rita is such a gem.
    Thanks again, Michael.

I'm not sure why anyone would think that he wasn't the man. If you look in a person's eyes 👀 you can see if they're in there. The Chin is definitely a Legend even up here in the great north. Great interview, thanks so much. Peace 😎 ✌️

I really appreciate you bringing to light the fact that the life isn't all glitz and glamor. As Rita said, to stay under the radar, her father might as well been in prison. Nothing fun about that life.

All the stories about the scratch on the jaw guy are great.. I'm pretty sure without a doubt her father was very proud of her and loved her very much that's a definite. I love New York City and everybody that lives there I have a passion for the city.

    Wow! What a great interview!
God bless her. Eventually she had a rough upbringing but made her life a positive one. Inspiring. Vincent Gigante was one of a kind. Keep bringing these interviews.

Hi Michael. Wow, what a beautiful and very interesting person, Rita is.What a life, what a story. I've always wondered about a baby in the womb, whether he or she is aware, or takes on and carries good or bad situations that happen. She confirmed it for me.
It was heartwarming and encouraging to hear that she took control of her life at 19 and came through it.
I could listen to Rita all day.
Many thanks to you, Michael, and to you, Rita. As always, dear brother this video was excellent.
Blessings and good health to you and to Rita. Have a great weekend ahead.
