I know you hear me say I'm excited alot and that's because I truly am and at the end of the day if we aren't moving might as well make this house as amazing as we possible can! Starting with a decent addition that will serve as additional entertainment space, office, and laundry space. I truly hope that this project brings you so much motivation, too, since we do plan to tackle a majority on our own I hope to show it's possible to do somethinglike this on a reasonable budget! ❤️

Just install the plumbing for bathroom before you pour the cement. You can always add the bathroom later and save a bunch of money. Just check out the price when you get the quote for the laundry room plumbing. All you really need is a small toilet and sink. Save down the road tons of money. Have a great day.

I feel your pain. My son, his wife & our 5 granddaughters moved to Germany 10 years ago. I never cried so hard in my life. Cant jump in a car to see them. Takes $ & ✈

The hibiscus you should have trimmed it back about 2 ft and then it would be easier to move, and then once you replant it fertilize it and it would probably bloom back like no problem!

When you do mini splits it could do heating and cooling if the need is there.
I would seriously consider a toilet and sink so you don’t have to go to the house.

You could add a window/door anytime. That’s one of he benefits of the metal building. I’ve seen some used really nice windows/doors, lighting, hardware, etc at the habitat for humanity restores. Builders will sometimes take the useable items to donate when they do home renovations.
The plants look great! My husband acts the same way every time he helps me with the plant situation😂
Those mature established plants are worth $50-100 easy. You did good! 💚
The snake plant is one of the best to ĝive oxygen in a home and purify it. They make great houseplants. Very little care needed

Excited to watch the progress! We have been contemplating doing this on our property but are worried about the tax increase. We already have gone from paying 1800/year to 4600/year due to increased home values and the area we live in is a hot market. Did you check on the property tax increase? I know Florida is also a hot market. Just curious.

Poor hubby. 💪. I have a iron steak that will up root anything. I got it a Home Depot. And my nabor moved a heavy rock with it and it still works great. I will never use a shovel to replace a plant/ tree❤

You mentioned a mini-split to cool your she-shed. I believe there are mini-splits that are both heating and cooling combined, so that might be an option if you’re thinking about heating your space. 😊😊

You guys need to call 811 so they can come out and mark everything. Especially since you didn't build the house. It's free, and just in case something was missed, you'll be protected. It could be a thousands of dollars mistake.
Yes, my neighbor is building a new home on his property. The water line got hit. Ooh man what a mess!
That happened to my husband who hit a gas line and we got fined $2000. He was removing an old fence post that fell when a bad storm knocked it over. We were trying to fix it. This fence was already there when we bought the house. So who would have known. They informed us we should have called before doing any repairs.
Unfortunately, many people think there's no need to call and, of course, regret it if something is destroyed and it costs a lot of money to get it fixed. Plus, the people having to replace whatever is broken probably get a bit annoyed. Lol
