Kagura is truly the mage you all need. Purify skill, Damage, Mobility, CC, Range, Outplay potential and good enough durability to withstand damage. But ofc she’s also one of the trickiest mages to master but once you do, it’ll be smooth sailing :3

The main reason why I like Kagura is because she needs a different mindset. Compared to mages like Cecilion, Pharsa, Lunox, Yve, and Luo Yi, Kagura needs a calm-minded and very observant player, and that is what differentiates a great Kagura player from an average Kagura player ☺️ Have a nice day, everyone!

this is exactly why I love kagura. she's the complete package for a mage. damage, mobility, cc, purify, she has it all.
here's a few tips from someone who has 500+ matches with 60+% winrate, as well as senior street rank.
1. for the battle spell, you can go with either flameshot or execute according to your playstyle. but what I like to do is choose the spell depending on the enemy. if the enemy has more tanky heroes or high mobility heroes, use execute. if the enemy has more squishy and less mobile heroes, use flameshot. execute is a hero lock skill so you won't miss it after your combo on high mobility heroes like Lancelot.
2. you can use your umbrella to check the bushes when rotating. this way, you won't get ganked so easily while trying to rotate.
3. stay calm when playing kagura, she has a lot of mobility. if you do it right, you can escape a lot of situations by using the map walls to help you run away.
4. if you're being chased, throw your umbrella to the enemy and all the way to the end of the range. this slows down the enemy and your umbrella will return to you more quickly, activating your passive, stunning your enemy. then you can dash away with 2nd skill. if you have enough hp, you can do your ulti (with umbrella) before you dash to push back your enemy a bit more.
5. kagura has a very long range so she can aim for the enemy backline even when she's behind the tank. however, if the enemy backline is out of reach, go around from the outside to focus them, don't go through the tank as you can easily get cc-ed without your umbrella and makes you very vulnerable.
6. this is like an add-on to tip 2 but it works in general too. when you throw your umbrella into a bush to check for enemies, you should do a backstep while throwing it, as kagura can keep moving while casting her umbrella. in case any enemies are waiting to ambush you in the bush, you can side step their skills and just walk away.
7. try to poke enemy mage in the early game (while laning). kagura has a lot of range so just keep poking them. you can do first skill + second skill to damage and stun them with your passive. if they fight back, just dash away. eventually they will be low and you can rotate better to gank sidelines and they will be behind in gold.
8. kagura is a great mage to counter valentina. Valentina has no use for kagura's ulti. if Valentina chases you, you can just dash away.

Its been a while since i've seen beto play lylia. Shes a pretty good in the current meta if you wanna annoy and pressure the heck out the enemy team(specifically the sidelaner/jungler) even at level 1. Her playstyle somewhat like kagura but less on the keep calm part and wait for the perfect timing and more on perfectly landing her spams over and over and try again AS soon as you get max stacks and/or ult back

Kagura is a solid mage, she can burst down enemies, has a purify skill to escape, has great cc skills, and is better than Hanabi in every way shape or form. But she's very hard to use so it kinda balances it out a bit

Kagura is an absolutely wonderful mage when played correctly. As long as u train with her and know her skills combo. She is really all u need. High burst, cc, mobility, ranged, purify. One of the best multi-skills mage ig.
And shield
The one thing she lacks is spellvamp which is really important in the current meta.
Flameshot is probably the best spell for most mages

@@ricebowl2173 And that's why I use execute I can be really aggressive,I am an aggressive player when I am still Lvl 1 so that I can push.I find Flameshots knockback not that useful since I already know how to use Kagura's 2 dashes and I also use Winter Truncheon.
I think the hardest part to master is the extra awareness you need between her and her umbrella, You don't want to throw your umbrella and dance around it being exposed to CC, also because once you throw it, the next uses will go from Umbrella's location which can make your aim very difficult if your umbrella is in a far/Bad position to the Target you are aiming for.
The second I notice a 1 shot mage is doing well, I start to build Athena’s shield.
*Me using Kagura but still one shots a Nana with Athena Shield max health*
athena shield is rendered useless against kagura . she can poke it before ult to make the passive cooldown . better defense would be oracle + tough boots or radiant armor alone would be enough

For me its really important to know when kagura reaches her power spike until then i avoid going in even though my ult land perfectly in between three enemy. Also in team fight i tend to hide and not show until the enemy core comes... Learned a lot from m3 hadji(blacklist international) kagura..

yes thats why in the early game learn to play around with your cc passive with kagura and gank with your teammates. she can engage really well
BLCK's line-ups are for mid game to late game heroes, so he tends to play safe in the early game. But if ur teams composition is for early game, u can should poke and harass the enemy so that they won't have enough hp left to win the next teamfight. if u noticed, the shoutcasters say "it's UBE time" when it's around 7-8mins, it's because all of their heroes has reached their power spike
Which I why I poke my enemies alot in early game until they're low enough to one shot with a weak combo.
With execute it becomes easier.
Thanks to pro players like you Beto, I now, start using Rafaela better and probably one of the most consistent hero to push rank and carry the game better. Since there's less of tank players in the game.
rafaela and mathilda is probably one of the best support in the game, only downside of mathilda is she got countered hard by Esmeralda and of course the ban

I remember playing kagura last last season with low winrate like almost 33% and my teammates was so upset of me but after practicing her so many times memorizing her skills, combo and the importance of her passive she made me climb up to mythic rank now and i can proudly say that she's a comfort hero to pick for me.

My biggest mental hurdle of playing and learning Kagura is that I feel there is high expectation of skilled gameplay when playing her, although I'm still very new to her. Being in Legend rank doesn't help either (tank/support main).
Once you've discovered the joy of sniping with flameshot, you will never go back to using Kagura with execute again

yeah,man.. You are right,i also had the same struggle while learning kagura for the first time, but practising constantly and ur so many kagura gameplay helped me build confidence and expertise. Now her so many skills isnt a complexity but a great utility to my play
If you're a beginner w kag. Just remember 131232, etch this in your mind and only keep practicing this. You'll be slow at first but when you see youve gotten fast enough w this basic combo only then practice and experiment other things.
Sometimes while you play you'll do it the wrong way but chanting 131232 in your mind during the game will help you lessen the amount of times you make the mistakes. this is her basic and most effective combo. Use this on the backline. Skill 1 then ult then 1 again to place the umbrella on the enemy then towards the enemy w skill 2 and ult and escape w skill 2 again.

I am a mage main myself but I refused to play kag bc her skill set is complicated. And I hated dying lol. Only now I do realize how wrong I was in not picking her and practicing her. As a mage player when most the mages don't have escape or dash skills you'll know how fun she is when you play her, she not only has dash skills but can also teleport to her umbrella which is just another escape skill and makes enemies confused

Well you got me, I subscribed. This is the first time I watched your video you using KAGURA. It's very true about what you said anywhere in the last part. I too was hesitant on using Kagura back then, but you will never know how practical this hero, both being escape artist and damage dealer unless you try.
It's rare to find a good teammates while soloing especially in EPIC, I wish I have this kind of team every time a play❤️❤️
