We're can I go to get a demo of the preamp
@@stevescat3171 Contact George Taylor of Entracte Audio for demo details. Contact info is in the description.
Does the 312 work well with all of AGY amps? Would love a recommended combo. Thanks
@@Expedition18 Yes, of it will work well with all of my power amps.
Just my opinion, but the A210 power amp would be what I would recommend with the C312 in most cases.
I'm looking to eventually get a full AGY setup. Would you recommend starting with the preamp and using the dac and amp I already have?
@@alejandrozamora9771 Preamp is a good start if you are looking for preamp power amp separate set up. Otherwise, an integrated amp is also the way to go.
Aside of rated wattage, looking at a C 310 with 2SE/BAL with a A200 Power amp; -as a substitute, would the I 806 integrated amp roughly accomplish the same thing?
@@brianyee5504 Yes, they are roughly about the same. The C310 has the oil paper capacito ans X2 capacitor selection. The integrated aml lacks the feature.
@@angela-gilbertThanks very much for the reply and clarification, Angela. I appreciate it!
@@brianyee5504 Yes and no... the switchable paper in oil cap and X2 circuits are nice, and the separate power supply give the C310 a leg up in terms of isolation and sound quality, but the i806 counter with a single power supply and a little more output power. The two amps have a slightly - and I mean slightly - different tonal signature as well. The C310/A200 would have a slightly rounder sound and is a little more focused on musical presentation where the i806 is a little more about detail. Musical preferences and matching speakers would likely be the defining factor here, and either one would be a great choice.

You are not wrong. 😄
Does it have a 6sn7 tube?
@@shomesaha No, this preamp has no tube inside.
@@angela-gilbert then how do you make the tube sound?
@@MasterofPlay7 It is a technique I have developed over the years. Tube amp or tube sound don't always because of the tube. A lot of the typical tube sound are because of the supporting circuitry around the tube. However, tube is what most people can visualize and associate with. Hence, the tube sound. It is difficult to explain without getting into how we listen and what our hearing is different than microphone measurements. I don't expect anyone to believe us this solid-state preamp sound like it has a tube in it. However, I am hoping more people can actually hear it in person and spread the words themselves inside of us saying it.
@@angela-gilbert so do you still get that 3d holographic soundstage? I feel like tubes can easily do that
@@MasterofPlay7 Yup, it has everything tube has plus more. Because this preamp allows the tube sound mix with solid-state. It has the beauty of tube and the control of solid-state. This is an overly simplify statement but essentially it has the best of both worlds.
I’ll take Burger King over Pizza .
@@coolruler8856 This preamp can give you both in case you prefer pizza on a particular night. 😉
@@angela-gilbert A gentleman explained your gear this week based on his experience in a recording studio . I really got it after he was finished .
@@coolruler8856 Did you talk to the gentleman or was it the review by Dave McNair who is a Mastering Engineer. Either way, I am very glad that you've got it.
Maybe just be normal? Or maybe work in CirCus as a Clown
Interesting comment. I wonder who do you mean should be normal and what is normal?
Holy gay who cares.
What do you mean?
