CBSRMT • "Master Computer" • Himan Brown's Mystery Theater Revival • [remastered audio]

These episodes were selected by (Buster) Himan Brown in 1998 for his "revival" of Mystery Theater on public radio. He does the intros for all of these which were broadcast from 1998 thru 2000. I can only guess that the clean audio came from his own personal stash of CBSRMT tapes he had packed and stacked in his basement 'cause as far as I can tell, nobody else has 'em! CBSRMT recordings with crappy audio quality are all over youtube and the internet, but I'm only going to post the ones with good audio. I have about 160 episodes of (Buster) Himan Brown's episodes, and I'll post them a few at a time every week.
excellent as far as audio quality, as to the content . . . well, it's hit and miss. I'm not sure the method (Buster) Himan Brown used to choose stories for re-broadcast because (to me) some of 'em are kinda lame (like this one) I think I'm the first (or one of the first) to put these on youtube. How I dread the screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech intro to all the CBSRMT episodes. I don't know why it has to sound like that online, it had to have been a completely different, exciting and enjoyable noise originally on the radio. I love the show, though, and the sound of the show itself in THIS episode, for instance, is wonderful. The Inner Sanctum has a screech intro (supposedly not a door to an inner sanctum but a squeaky office chair that was protected from discard or damage as if it were the star) that is inexplicably awful to hear on my computer, about a tenth as fingernails-on-a-chalkboard awful as CBSRMT, and still just about unbearable.

That is indeed, a squeaky chair. Unfortunately, I cannot do anything about your sensiivity to the sound!
