Now don't soil yourself with all ur dirty dooks.......
Reading my mind... Was looking up the cobra crusher
I use to build crushers and cone mills. I'd like to build a small a crusher but working with the wear plates is rough going trying to work with hard ox. Can you order parts from the manufacturer of the crusher you have? Or does it have to be sent in? Oddball question but I thought I'd ask you first. Thanks Jeff always a great video. And some nice shiny from the ore👍
hope all is well Jeff, thank you for all the lesson's learning a lot from you Bud..
see you in the next one
Waking up at 5am and a Ask Jeff Williams video comes out couldn't start out the day any better
Finally, something I know about. There are several sizes of screen, the most common is 18-14, 18 holes per inch by 14 holes per inch and ultra fine 20-20 which also comes in metal
Thank you as always Jeff!
Thanks Jeff... These videos are great!
Great Video Jeff! I learned something new, TYVM
I love how you take the time to respond to most of the comments! That’s a class act thing to do Jeff! It really shows us you care about everyone and separates you from the rest of the creators on CZcams. You’re the best in my book, thank you!
we try to respond to every single one of them ...thanks Rex
Great info Jeff nice to see that gold. As always love the videos keep them coming and stay safe
Fun stuff, Jeff. Love the chain mill, crusher, and the pan result! 💰⛏️
we do to ...thanks you two
Ha, I was #1000 to like this video! I love learning from the Headmaster Jeff! I would love to see more giveaways that are just random picked. We all need more chances at the Shiny!!!
Awesome information, thanks for sharing! Cheers!
Man this is awesome. Thanks for the videos brother keep them coming.🤘 let’s goooooo
you betcha
Another great video Jeff. I only had to use a mortar and pestle for about 30 seconds before I decided I had to have a real crusher. I’ve never never used one of those K&M crushers but the Rc46 is really nice.
you will get some big guns on ya if you use a Mortar and Pestle for any length of time
Educational as usual, thanks Jeff from Down Under.
Awesome stuff Jeff, love my Mighty Mill as well! All the best out there 🇺🇸
yep they are great for field sampling too
Thanks again
Always learn something from your videos.
Jeff hold them pants 👖 on that naughty mortor and Pestel had no sound he hehe!!!; )😅😂
As always Jeff very informative, thanks again buddy hope to meet you someday
The trigger discipline was making me nervous , lol . Anyway , I always wondered the correct way to use a morter and pestle , thanks for showing that .
Got blisters yesterday crushing rocks like that yesterday and got zero specks! But, you can learn alot from a good skunk! Saving up to get a mill soon!
thats great ....the small mighty mills work great for sampling as well ...have done vids on that one too
Nice I definitly am going to try that thanks jeff
Nice looking material. Yeah ComeOn Let’s go.
Nice lesson :)
Great video, not a surprise though. Good timing for this video. 😀😀
Lost sound @ 0.7
Yea I second that
I third that...plus, it's a pestle and mortar....oh, and the sounds back!
😂
It comes back about 15 secs later.
That's some nice shiny Jeff! Rock on buddy! JJ
Awesome channel!
One of the only places you can go and tell somebody to pound rocks or pound sand and it's a compliment.
hahhahhaha
Great education, especially for Greenhorns ! Love that mill you built too ! Was this sample from one of your recent mine explorations ? Thanks for sharing Brother. We smashed that LIKE button real hard on this one !!🤠⛏️⚒️👍👍👍
yes it was.... you betcha my brother ...thanks
I use an iron mortar and a Bosch impact hammer drill with a bushing? bit to crush hard rock . I'm in for only about $150, and it's a lot faster than by hand and reduces the rock real fine. One caveat, the bushing bit has brazed on teeth and when you use it some of that brazing wears off and looks like the big bonanza. If someone would manufacture a crusher bit without brazing it would be nice. I have seen them for air hammers.
The best way, is what ever works for you and your material.
Thank you Jeff for making me a smart feller instead of a dutch oven expert…🤟🏻
hahhahahhhaha
Seeing young Jeff Williams in those old clips is delightful. Fresh-faced and chubby-cheeked, not all grizzled and sun-beaten like he is now. hahaha
GTSY JEFF,HOPE ALL IS GOING WELL..GREAT JOB ON ANOTHER AJW ADVENTURE..STAY AWESOME YOU 2
thanks RRR
You made this video just for me 😊. Now I'll have to start out with a mortar and pestle. I'm broke as a joke. That's what drives me to keep going, keep sampling, keep on keeping on!
you can do it my brother
Bring back the spitoon clips. Very funny.😂
Glad I can go back and learn things that I missed before. Like a library for miners.
you betcha
I when fishing today. I caught 2 big strip bass. Both keepers..I let them go. It was fun. 2 kicks n bait.
Great advice Jeff for those of us who want free milling gold ore, not sulfide ores. Most folks cant deal with the complexities of sulfide ores neveralone mitigating the environmental issues associated with toxic elements. Old timers were always on the look out for free milling gold, especially bonanza grade!
thanks and exactly
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
morning
here in my country, we call a mortar and pestle a pot n dolly. cool vid jeff
the ore crushes a lot easier after its fired(flambe'd) for 30 mins..
lattice structure of the silica diox, crumbles under heat..
That Log Cabin syrup can is so cool . I miss that kind of thing companies in America used to do .
I still use a motar and pestal i make my own motar and pestal out of steel. I have a small one to use in the field to a bigger one in the shop. i use old drill steel as the pestal. I crush it to a powder and also use a 20 mesh then pan it down. been doing it this way for years it takes time to go through a 5gal bucket of ore but its all good maybe some day i will get a crusher. Wonderful video Jeff
Yeehaw buddy, nice gold! K&M makes some good machines for sure. And it's a bit of a secret for now, so don't go telling anyone, but I'll be releasing my new Mighty Mill XL soon....SUPER EXCITED!!!!
can't wait to see it ....keep us posted
Hey is that the ore Kris and I brought up outta your mine? Glad you made a video with it 😊 I started out with a mortar and pesto back in the day. Then a k and m. Now a RC46 that works awesome!
yes it is sonny Jim....good stuff ....just need about 20 more tones of it . Lol ...love that RC46
Your channel creates Gold Fever 🥵 I get it every time I watch ✅😉
Howdy.🤠
Thanks for all the info❗💯🏆🚙🇺🇲🇺🇲
I used a motor pestal. Talk about doing it the hard way. Plus at the mine all the fine crush was vacuumed and had a chamber socks had to be changed every shift. Depending on the mill. Ours had 20 foot long 4 inch diameter cotton socks that was 1970s tech. It was being changed out. They got roasted too. Then everything went CIL tank. Mom had a photo of pioche in 49. The cloud from the mill covered the town. If the dust didn't get you nuclear blasts did. Lots of stories.
sounds like Castleton ... we did a few vids on the mill and ca only imagine the stories ....maybe you could share a few from time to time
One thing you always want to remember on any mill is to always check your discharge screen Some of your gold could flatten out and get smashed into the screen (like when you smash that like button) and adhere to it. Cleaning it after every run will always give you your best results. I've known people that cross contaminated their samples by forgetting to do this. We ran a ton of ore from the Ruth and only got 3.68 ozs. when the assay showed 7; guess where the rest of the gold was "hanging out".Love your mill Jeff, looks like it'll do a sweet job of getting that gold out. Heavy pans y'all!
Hey Richard, really good point ...another reason we like the Keene RC 46 with roller mill ....makes that Gold big and flat like a Pizza pie.... thanks
My favorite type of safety glasses are safety squints 😂😂😂
As someone who's endured lifelong eye damage, save the safety squints for the bedroom my dude. Get some eye pro so you can continue to see that shiny and your spouse's hiney.
@@100GTAGUY you can reach your eyes in the bedroom?? WOW ROFLMAO!! well noted! ive had hot 600F nylon blasted at me under many thousands of PSI... thankfully i wear eye protection when needed :)
@@VendettaProspecting well I didn't quite mean to imply that I can reach my eyes, if I'm picking up what your putting down lmao. I'm just making a silly anecdote, lost most my vision in my left eye at the age of six due to safety squints and paintball.
I'm just very passionate about ppe even for trivial stuff these days
That hot nylon at thousands of psi sounds like a bad time, can it cause hydraulic injection injuries by chance? I'm sure it burns like hell no doubt
@@100GTAGUY it was from injection molding of plastics, blew skin off my hands but all healed fine 😂😎
Great as always Jeff...tell slim 👋
Always!
Thank you for the easy quick demo on getting me closer to becoming rich. Hehe.
Love your content and knowledge tho
On your vacuum bucket, you may consider putting the input line at an angle on the side to create circulation. This will create a tornado type circulation whose centrifugal force will keep the heavier rock dust material circulating on the side, with the exhaust in the center top pulling out the air with much less dust and rock. As it is right now I see the exhaust on the side where the rock dust will tend to be when circulation begins.
Just a thought from somebody without a clue.
a cyclone ...great idea
@@Askjeffwilliams Any gold, much heavier, would also tend to stay on the very outside.
Hey man, its so weird how your just showing people how to prospect and mine in so many ways. And your so knowledgeable. Its weird it helps. With so much stuff on YT thats negative or meaningless. Your youtube channel is a positive bubble for me. And id love to go metal detecting with you sometime!
Jeffs great i believe his channel will be huge some day. When you know your stuff you’re honest and you are a bit of a character thats quality content creator.
thanks
Must be something in the wind cause I’m up here in SD about to switch over from hunting for the prized Fairburn agate to the Black Hills Gold and I know I’m gonna need me a crusher for testing a few places I know there was good gold coming from hard rock mines. The first bit of metal detected gold I ever found came from outside an old mine shaft here in SD, and I know there is more! The assays for that specific shaft were said to be oz per ton average. I was so rookie that day and the Monster was making a lot of sounds I didn’t understand back then. Specifically, on a giant chunk of quartz that was ringing like crazy and I just assumed it for a “hot rock”. 🤦🏻♂️ Hahah! I was pretty green that day but I’ve learned a lot the last year and a half while I was in Arizona piling up them nuggets! Thanks for the video and the extra tips and tricks on the crusher! I’ll be implementing some of them on a build for sure!
thats great
Sound back on at :20
I've been sampling using a home made mortar & pestal time to move on up to a faster and more productive crusher. But after seeing your milling set up im thinking Why not go the distance and build a portable mill. Thanks for your teaching and videos Jeff.
you betcha and you will love having a new mill setup ...so much easier
🇺🇸👍 Watching your channel 👍🇺🇸
Hello from Virginia my friend 👍

Great video and very informative as always Jeff! 👍👍

@@Askjeffwilliams thanks for the video as always. Great info. How do you feel about collaboration videos?
I would love it if you could go with TVR and or Jason with mbbm.
Exploring and geology . I love all your guys videos I could just see the three of you coming together to make some of the greatest content on you tube!
LoL in my opinion.
And Dan Hurd you guys would have killed it back In the day!
@@bencarlyle2155 we have done Collab videos in the past with other CZcamsrs and we did one with Jason too
Thank you both L and J. I learned some and am now going online to get me a Mortar and Pestle. Not sure though as some say Apothecary and not sure if that would crush hard rock. So, looking for the one's made for rock mining should be fine as powder.
you betcha David
I have some pieces of different rocks i am going to check. These rocks were from a farners road base. I dont have access to ore per se so there is no sense in me buying a bunch equipment. You have given me what i need again. Your awesome. ! I want to buy a bag of dirt and your book but having trouble getting threw the process.
thanks and keep us posted
@@Askjeffwilliams thats and i will. I dont see free mill gold but that usually not the case. Ill let you know one way or the other.
Up date. Checked three sample crushed down to 20 mesh. No gold but fools gold in conglomorant.
I find slivers of steel from pedestal and morter. ( 3/4 bock of steel and sleel rod steak.
You rock
😎
i got a motar and pestle to do this and it suuuccckkksss. oh man i will do anything for small hammer mill.
I'll be anouncing a 1000 sub giveaway soon, and I'm going to do a drawing for a free Mighty Mill with tons of extras! Maybe you'll win?!
just think of the good work out your getting ...Lol
Lolol more or is flying out than staying in lolol
Would love to get chips of gold. Let alone a nouget of gold..I love w a wring gold. Also my favourite element ✨️ ❤️
The link to the gold hog multisluice takes me to a bug repellent system lol
So much fun to watch your videos.. You are a smart man.. I am in Texas and there is gold here I am sure,, but there are only legends and nobody is talking (why would they ) . There just has to be gold out near Bandera, Campwood, Barksdale, east of the Devil's sinkhole.. Wonder if you ever made a trip to Australia, or New Zealand where they are still finding big gold.. So much untapped in Alaska also..
thanks
Love lode gold! Love the channel!
thanks
I think your video are so great because you show what what one person can do by themselves. Some of the GOLD programs on TV show crews using million of dollars of equipment. Not realistic for most weekend miners.
Have you ever mined for GOLD in another country, like Canada? or in the Yukon?
thanks and yes we have
Dan Hurd once challenged Jeff to pan a nugget out blind like he did. Nevada Jack put 4 nuggets, one big two medium and one itty bitty in random dirt, blindfolded Jeff and said pan them out.
Jeff panned out 5 nuggets. True story !!
I remember that and no one has been able to beat my record since
When I first started prospecting in the 70's, being in my mid 20's, I had a chance to get a rock crushing system with sluice..
Family friends, that was like grandparent's..
Paul passed away and his wife Nadine, asked me if i wanted them.
Not knowing anything about the crushers and sluice, I said no..
10 years later, visiting a friend in Arizona, he had one and I developed a nauseating feeling, realizing I gave up something of value..
I think you like getting wet so much you forgot to use your magnet and get the magnetics out.😮 LOL❤
1:11 instead of a window screen what about those flour sifters? I think they might be lightly smaller holes. Thats a nice mortar and pestle cast iron? Cast steel? Most are not gonna survive that kind of work they can only grind plants and bones maybe. The cheapo chinese ones. Im gonna make one i have a few pullys so i figure ill take the biggest 2 rocks in the yard and make them smash each other. Take my drill and a mason bit and drill a bowl into the bigger one. Then hang the other over and crush stuff and rock it. I also got a 1 1/2in metal plate with a hole in the middle. I could put that on top and crush stuff and push it into the hole and collect from the bowl.
I invested in the 14" with a 3" opening, makes short work of some larger quantities of ore.
good job Jamie
Very sweet ⛏️⛏️⛏️👖
I like that there maple syrup container ya got 😉
it has syrup in it too ....the good stuff
I live two miles from k m crusher I should go over there and see what they got, Jeff does that copper band work you play a guitar write my rist is starting to hurt here lately when I play Barr cords thought I get one.
tell Stevev over there we sent ya hahahha and yes it works for that
Thanks jeff
Great video! Nice to see you in an older video mixed in to the new one. Man, I've been watching your videos for a long time, since the days you would run around in the desert dry panning. What happened to your leather shirt... and slim? How the years pass...
thanks and we still have the leather shirts
It is interesting that while you mine for gold, you wear a copper bracelet.
Looks good my friend thanks for sharing

That mortar and pestle looked awfully heavy to be lugging into the field is the mighty mill drill crusher lighter? Like number 400 nice looking shiny that’s some great ore thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼
no its heavy too with a large battery but more efficient and quicker
@@Askjeffwilliams ahh ok thanks jeff and slim, so how much does that mortar and pestle weigh about 17 lbs?

no worries ...as long as we get the message out there
Check out the mighty Mill

Got load ore super fines , What do you think is best to get it , blue bowl , cube , small shaker table?
Yep I did not know about the surface tention and fine gold dust I saw it pour out like a heavy dust on top of the water. No couldn't be. Yep it was.
And do it on a smooth surface where the debris can be collected and tossed back in
I love yellow rocks 😊😂
I have a K&M crusher and it works great but since i dont have a jaw cruesher so im stuck spending a lot of time just trying to get it small enough to fit inside with a impact hammer and it eats up a lot if chains and screens since it isnt 1/2-. I would like a jaw crusher but damn they are expensive!
you could always make one ....we have seen a few guys here make them
Nice gun ! Lol ! bad ass !
Jeff when it says ask Jeff , Jeff are you feeling okay after the Doctors visit? I hope so . I am so glad you are doing okay. I have been thinking of a new experiment for gold recovery Nandi when I go West maybe we could build it together. So you keep healthy and strong!
