If you have another collapse like last year then it would be horrible. As for the trade I’m indifferent to it, I feel like he will do what Chase young did for the niners, be an solid but mostly forgettable player that you all won’t retain once his contract is up.

He's had Smith and Brown for 2yrs & they're easily a top 3 WR Duo yet hurts couldn't manage to throw for neither 4k yards or 25 passing TD's.
Kellen Moore is known for loving the passing game though so Hurts will either get exposed, continue to put himself in harms way or he'll take the next step to being an actual QB instead of a RB that can throw.

@@7211m To be fair alot of that was also due to very poor offensive scheming that was mostly just Go routes down the sidelines. He showed he has the talent to be an elite passer as we saw in the 2022 season with the right offense. This year will be the proving point of that for him tho.

Look at the games when he was targeted more then 5 times. He produced. Washington most likely wasn't using Dotson correctly.
Terry McLauren just eclipsed over 1000 yards last season however you could even make the argument that he should have had 2-300 more yards receiving considering how much Sam Howell throws the football.

Trading a 3rd round pick for a WR3/4 is a steal. I expect Dotson will perform well in limited opportunities with a significantly better QB. Washington is a lost franchise and will continue to miss the playoffs.

Another point is that you don’t want to give up draft picks but we also have so much talent signed for next couple years that we literally can’t hold onto many players past a couple picks.
Take the now talent instead of a future pick if you have this window especially when relegated to fourth / fifth option vs them being a clear second option.

I’m a lifelong Washington fan and when Dotson was selected I was hyped. His rookie season was very good. Last season wasn’t great and the word was Jahan was doing a lot of blaming and wasn’t a great locker room prescience. Quinn obviously knows something or he wouldn’t do a trade with a division rival. Washington got the best of the trade with a day 2 pick next year. Dotson was already WR4 on our team behind McLaurin, Zaccheus, and Brown. Had high hopes for him but it really seems like he’s a bust.
Howie never hangs up the phone. He has the itch to WIN! And that’s what I like about him yeah, Sometimes he fails but he’s aggressive and that’s what it takes to win 🦅🦅🦅
In the off-season Big Dom goes and gets dirt on the other GMs and that is how Howie does it.
