Ok Steve-O the salon master. I analyzed and watched every single video you made ever. Going ALL THE WAY back to you first baby steps. I knew exactly what to ask my stylist. I told him with very fine detail. It took like an hour and a half to explain.
After I was done explaining and referencing the each video with time stamps organized by your facial hair length in each video, the guy said, “Sir, this is Carl’s Jr. “

7:17 Exactly. I show them a picture or explained for 10 minutes and the barbers grab the 1 guard and buzz it off. When I said I wanted to grow my hair out. This barbershop did it to me like 3 times in a row before I stopped going. So hilarious. Right try to find someone on social media
9:07 right, I said don't use the smaller guards on the sides so my hair is balanced and grows out evenly. Then the hair stylist responded back "EVENLY"? I was literally in an argument with a person cutting my hair. Insane I knew at that point get me out of here
trust me dont go to barbers , i was in the same position as u , so eventually i gave up and just tried a salon , they listened and actually gave advice to help achieve my goals , they didnt remove any length yet still somehow managed to make my hair look cut , it feels a little weird going but is much better

You should make a complete lesson of every concepts for understanding a haircut like every hair types with pictures, hairlines, different basic cuts to be able to ask something that the barber can understand like low fade… + haircut to suit your type/symmetry of face. All in one compact video without losing too much time for explanation.

That's why I am now cutting my hair myself, thanks to the SALON GUY - since having invested all the time and effort (one would need to acquire all the technical knowledge first) - in order to just EXPLAIN all that to a regular barber, one WILL inevitably become more qualified (than the regular barber) to do a decent haircut (for) himself at the end )))

Thank you for giving these tips. Last haircut I had completely unevenly cut the above the ear fade. I told my regular stylist it was an important cut as I’m going to vacation in Palm Springs. I wear glasses, so if this isn’t done well, the hair sticks out from the frames. She’s always had a problem with this. Before she worked on the ears, she had someone come in wanting to buy gift certificates so she rushed my cut and was a 1/4 inch difference on the ears! I was self-conscious about it the whole vacation. I will never go back to her again.

Generally a stylists will take of way more than you probably want when dealing with guys. Not sure why but they want to take it way down!!! So if you just want a trim be specific with how much. Don't use terms like an inch or so....because their version of an inch is not your version im sure. Generally using the same stylists removes the guesswork but guys don't often do that. Personally I just get whoever is available so I've become an expert at laying down exactly what I want. Oddly some stylists get very annoyed and take it personally when I explain in detail what I want. You know....so what!!! It's my hair, I'm paying and tipping you and you need to do what I'm paying for. End of story.

As a barber who does a lot of different styles, your dead on about making sure people are capable. I’ve turned some clients into more capable stylists bc of their hair length or type, and some who have perfect hair for this style with tapers or fades, that’s more my wheel house. But the crazy layering and stuff is just out of my wheelhouse. I’d love to learn but am always so busy and never have time to really take it up and truly focus on it. So I watch vids like this and try to slowly implement stuff over time to get better at new stuff. But these kinds of styles aren’t easy at all.

I think I maybe need to start finding another stylist for my hair. My side and back and nice and long but my front and top is really fine and not as thick. I'm not sure she is layering my hair properly. Its hard finding someone that knows what they're doing especially for men's hair
I get my hair cut at Mohler Barber College. The current price is $9.00. I've never walked our of there disappointed. A student will cut your hair under the supervision of the hair instructor. Once the student completes your haircut the instructor will throughly check the cut and fix up any problem areas.
The entire experience is usually about an hour. I usually give the student a twenty and it's worth it.
Sometimes I'll sit down and the student will say "Aw man! I never cut a white dude's hair before."

I’m so frustrated. I just got my haircut and I literally explained to the stylist that I didn’t want anything off the top and they didn’t listen. I liked my length but I wanted to clean up the sides a bit. Long story short, they butchered my hair. It’s way shorter then I wanted it. It’s frustrating because I’ve experienced the same issue many times. What do you do when the stylist says they get it but then really they don’t? Never go back to them I guess. Thanks for the vid. i live in a small town in czechia and there are a few barbers here, but most of them do trashy 4 dollar cuts that look worse, than if i cut it at home. there is one barber shop tho, that does like that skin fade type of haircut, but i dont really want a fade, so i guess that kinda sucks

This video is just what I need so I went to the salon this past Tuesday with great expectation thinking I'm going to get the cut I want ✂ I tried a new salon because the last Salon I went to wasn't helping me achieve the cut I'm going for after months of going to that Salon I figure I try a different one but unfortunately I still did not get the cut that I requested I told the beautician I want a blunt haircut she says it's an extra charge $10 charge for longer hair. my top is short my bottom is long I said ok fine. my hair was very choppy before I went to her she told me she could not give me a blunt haircut straight across because that would make my hair more choppier but im thinking like at this point what do I got to lose it's pretty choppy already just give me the blunt haircut and I'll let that grow out at least it'll be Amor even cut. She said she would have to take 6 inches off of my bottom to get it to blend 😖 I don't want to take that much of my hair off I was only looking for a inch or two the most 4 inches I ended up paying $40 including her tip still didn't get my blunt haircut that straight across ✂ cut im the one who has to walk around with this hair you saying it's going to be more choppier if you cut straight across just do it I'm telling you that's what i wantv but you're giving me what you want and what you gave me it's still choppy she also requested just dying my hair a darker color which I have been thinking of doing for a while because it is the blond that gives me that mohawk look and really stands out at the top i uploaded a video of my ✂ ✂ cut. so I'm still searching and looking for recommendations of a different salon. Your hair doesnt change its typw but for example if your hair is wavy with short hair u would have no waves because it doesnt reach the lenght to achieve the waves

I’m recently trying to reach eren Yeager haircut . I haven’t got a cut for 8 months and my hair reach half of the neck level but because it’s wavy it’s reaching jaw level. My hair is separated in 2 parts . Left side and right side . On my left side my hair is more straighter and it seems more longer than the right side . But if I get the hair from the left and move it to the right ITS the same Length . But in My right side, the hair reaches almost under ear level. I want it to grow up to the shoulders . I should get a cut? My left side looks a little more fluffy . To be a little helpful , before I started growing my hair I had a fade hairstyle and I have a bulky hair . I should go to the salon to “correct” my hair ? Or I should go at the 12th month to make it look equal (sorry for the grammar)
