2002 Honda CR125 2-stroke Walk Around!

I often get asked “what bike do you ride the most”. Well here she is in all of her glory, the 2002 CR125! Doesn’t matter if I take it to the track, to gnarly off-road action, or just messing around popping wheelies, this thing is always fun 100% of the time and takes an absolute beating. The amount of pistons, cranks, brake-pads, chains, sprockets, clutches, and fork seals this thing has gone through is crazy 😂 No it’s not the fastest 125 ever but it makes some power in one spot, way up top where I like it 🤠 Other people that have rode this thing hate the power that it makes with no bottom end 😂 This is also my favorite geometry to come on any bike, the peg to seat and bar position along with the head tube rake and linkage ratio is dialed for me. I’ve left the engine stocks with just a Pro Circuit silencer (yes it needs repacked) and it just keeps on going. I originally picked this thing up for $200, it was in buckets with every piece taken apart, a crushed swing arm, broken engine cases, and everything absolutely blown to smithereens. Thanks to MotoSport and a whole lot of donor parts, this beast came together and I’ve beat on it ever since. We just got this thing rebuilt again, Wossner Pistons with a fresh piston, Backyard Design making it look good with new graphics, Hinson clutch, Renthal grips/bars/chain, Dunlop tires, Maxima Racing oils/fluids, and daily orders from MotoSport to keep this beast ticking. I bought my youngest stepson a brand new 2002 CR125R as a leftover model in 2005. There was a dealership near us that had a leftover 2002, 2003 and 2004 model all three back in 2005. The 2002 model handled unbelievably well, and it came on strong in the middle but lacked bottom end power. The Mikuni carburetor was a bit tricky to get the jetting right on, but once you did it was a very fun bike to ride for sure. I'd love to have his bike back now. He sold it for hardly anything and all it needed was a left side radiator and left side radiator shroud.

I picked up a hopped up 02 cr125 x race bike, my bud bought the practice bike about 10 years ago and I’ve pounded on that poor thing, neglected it, left it outside in a pole barn all winter, it had what had to be 100 hours on the top end, rebuilt the top end a couple years ago just to freshen it up and it’s still going. Hands down the most reliable bike I’ve ever owned and I’ve had quite a few!

I had the 2000 CR 250 then the 2003 the 2000 was a different breed ! Went like stink I wasn’t a big fan of the rc valve

In 1976 I had the YZ 125 Yamaha for racing when the Honda Elsinore came out it was silver in color was the same cc motor but the bike was so much faster..Bike sounds awesome..🛵💨

I had this bike in 2002. I added V Force reeds, a pro circuit pipe and silencer and ran race gas. It was an awesome bike. I regret selling it to get a 03 250 four stroke 🙄.
