- A man is being hailed a brave hero after stepping in to stop another rider from harassing two women on the subway in Manhattan. The suspect allegedly pulled a woman by the hair aboard a No. 1 train, then pulled a box cutter on the man after he told the suspect to stop. NBC New York's Gaby Acevedo reports.

@@eddyvideostar A good man helps anyone weaker than himself because it's the right thing to do. Not because he expects to be allowed to do whatever he wants to the victim himself. That's not a good man vs. a predator, that's just two predators fighting for prey.
A good woman also protects those weaker than herself- which is why women so often risk their lives or perish protecting children and animals.
Women don't owe you access to our bodies. You are not the hand that 'feeds' us anything. If you see a woman being harmed by a larger man, and do nothing, you have to live with your cowardice.
There are still plenty of actual heroes, like this man. He helped those women because it was right, not because he felt entitled to them. His calm willingness to face the attacker, even after he pulled a weapon, saved both the women and himself. The cowardly criminal backed off in the face of real bravery. I hope they keep the criminal in jail this time, and give the good samaritan an award.

I promise you this man wasn't thinking about whether women in his office had been nice enough to him. What would that have to do with the two women on the subway? Nothing, unless you are a man who believes women are property that men are entitled to.
The police were respected, back when they were protecting people. Men, too, were respected when they were protecting people. Too many police now commit crimes against the people, and their cohorts cover it up. Meanwhile, they let criminals like this man out of jail. Too many men are harming women and children, and too many others make excuses instead of stopping them.
Yet still, when a man saves someone, he has our respect. There are still lots of good people out there, trying to do right by others. We just need to get rid of this violence. That starts with every person being willing to stand up for others.
