  • Here is my 2009 SSR Rowdy 150cc scooter with HP exhaust and jetted carb. With the few parts I had to upgrade its a great scooter with only 300 miles. The only thing that kinda sucks is that the bike is kinda heavy and digital speedometer is off by 3 mph. It is also considered a motorcycle. It looks like it would be the ideal scooter for heavier bigger people.

Love it man, where did you get that exhaust? I’m looking in to getting one myslef, and the exhaust upgrade would probably be my first order of business

Tony what kind of modifications needed to be made for it to fit?

Where did you get the bike? Online or a brick and mortar store? I think this is the year I'm finally going to get mine. If I have to get it online would be good to know a good company.

I’m not sure if the SSR company in Norwalk CA would have the parts for the Rowdy scooter and you would have to go there in person to get what you need. What are the parts you are looking for?

I got the exact same one and color. It's new to me. How do you operate that Parking Brake Lever? I got a "P" lit on my Instrument Cluster and not sure if that's related. Owners Manual mentions nothing about it.

Is the rear wheel locked? If it is then the parking brake is on. You should just be able to move the knob forward to disengage it, if not then it is stuck

Does it vibrate a lot at that speed? That could be why but certainly the Chinese scoots often develop electrical gremlins from the cheap wiring they come with. Personally I question the usefulness of a parking brake on a scooter that has a center stand. If you are strong enough to work the stand on an incline you really never need the parking brake.

Why can't it be registered in California?

I’m not sure about registering it in ca but i don’t see why you couldn’t
The 1 thing I know is it might be considered a motorcycle in certain states due to the floorboard type foot pegs and you would need a m1 license to ride it on the street.
