Working in a hospital I see rows of this in the ICU, Grieving families, terrorized patients who can't get the oxygen despite the masks and cannulas and 100% oxygen delivery, who soon go under anesthesia to avoid fighting the ventilator which may still not be able to raise their oxygen level since their lungs can't exchange it. Or their lungs improve...too late, too long without adequate oxygen and their kidneys, heart and liver are failing and kill. Families in vigil- the patient unaware... 1 or 2 family members allowed in only at the end of life and in full PPE only, unrecognizable except their voices to the unconscious patient. Parent's burying children (including adult children) , children burying parents, siblings burying siblings, spouses burying spouses. Quite often it's the "rock" of the family that dies. Maybe they wait too long for help? Got more exposure because they felt more invincible? Instead of weddings and anniversaries- people are having funerals and celebrations of life. Not a good trade off. You are right this is NOT about politics, this is about healthcare.

It just makes sense to be vaccinated like i have with all the free vaccinations provided by the NHS I've had since childhood. Despite vaccination, my children (who'd only just had the vaccine) brought Covid home from school in September. We all caught it, and I'm sure the vaccines made it easier and we're all here. I hope this anti-science brigade promoting disinformation are brought to heel eventually and people will start to look after each other again and get vaccinated.

The “ if you are young you will most likely get it like the flu” was the biggest mistake the CDC could have ever released!
This almost killed my brother (23), who is way healthier than me. My parents in the late 50s/60s didnt go through as much as he went through. My brother spent 84 days fighting to breathe until he was able to come home. Contracted May 31st.
It hurts my heart to know that there are still people getting infected and realizing this can effect young people after my brother. It makes me feel that I haven’t done enough to spread awareness.

@@tanyabrown9839 you cannot deny that It gave parents and young people a false sense of security.
Society did not actually come out with examples of young people dying of Covid until the delta variant. By the. My brother had already been one of the statistics.
Doctors and nurses all around were actually surprised by young patients too. So my statement is not unwarranted.
CDC probably thought kids didn’t have to worry either. But now, as more kids suffer, they aren’t even the ones leading with the message that kids are also dying.
Many parents like my own were blindsided.
