- Fraternity brothers at the University of Washington in Seattle, The Brothers Four began singing together in 1956 and by the 1960s they had become America's Musical Ambassadors to the World. The band still is, with two of its original members-Bob Flick, leader, upright bass player, producer, and arranger, and Mark Pearson, who plays six- and 12-string guitars and banjo. Veteran folk performers Mike McCoy and Karl Olsen complete the quartet.
What set this group apart were its consistently smooth, warm, lush harmonies.

Yes i loved their music. I'M 73 yrs old but but still remniscing these kind of music.
The Brothers Four Concert was the very fist date my husband and I went to together. That was in 1964. We were married for 55 years before he passed away in 2019.
Oh wow.. Music is powerful. My husband passed in 2012 Dialysis issue.. we lived in the 70’s….16, 17. married, pregnant a month later.
wasn’t a shotgun marriage., ( Mom wanted three of girls us out of the nest..lol
When THE BROTHERS FOUR visited Japan more than 60 years ago. and they held the concert at Kobe. I was so excited at that day. But I've never thought I could listen their songs on You Tube, Thank you, I 'm so happy to find them and to heir them sing again, Wonderful ! !

Enjoyed the music in 1961 when I was in high school, and now in 2024, I am enjoying these incredible music again. It is a great feeling remembering the good old days when we hear the music only through the AM radio and later through the FM radio which was not common at that time.

I still have several Brothers Four albums, all over 60 years old. Ouch. Guess that dates me. They were my first favorite group. This version does them proud.

Beautiful voices.
Brings back so many great memories from my college days in the early 60’s. The Kingston Trio, Peter Paul and Mary also added to the experience. Have I missed anyone else?

One of the finest folk, country, calypso, and blues group of all time. I loved their sound. Along with the Kingston Trio, they were my favorites. They weren't overtly political but neither was Ian and Sylvia and they were great, too. I saw them at a small venue in Hollywood back in the day. They were wonderful!
Every time I hear these songs sung by these talented performers, I feel 18 again. Beautiful all around; reminiscing of the old days...
Nowadays, when I listen to the songs of the Brothers Four, i keep my eyes closed and travel back to the time when i was much younger.

I remember singing along with the Brothers Four whenever I hear their songs on the radio when I was six years old. I especially like The Yellow Bird, Greenfields and Green Leaves of Summer.
Brothers Four reminds me of our High School Days of my jolly friends in the 70's. It's their favourite songs .... They're now in heaven with our Almighty ❤️

The brother's four got me to love calypso when I was very young. Heard "King Richard" play at a restaurant on St. John's in the 70s. All calypso, all evening. Biggest tip I ever gave. Lucky it wasn't the B4, it would have broken my bank.

Here in Brasil, we had the chance to listen to Green leaves of summer at the radio, back to the 60's. Witjh Internet, I could find other songs, like Tie me kangaroo, Jamaica Farewell, the one they sing in Japanese ... Brings so much joy toi the heart (as Marie Kondo says)
