How to Cut and Install Chain | Chain Break | Chain Tension | TYRANIS TIPS

The Cross Kart needed some chain, so I figured I'd show you how I size, break, install and tension the 420 chain we use for our builds. The same process works for most chain sizes. Hope this helps!

I have been telling my dad to get a chain breaker for a while now but he says we don't change the chains enough to need one and just grabs the angle grinder, hammer, pliers, and flat head screwdriver and does it that way.

4:55 so yeah… I used this method and it worked the first few times but this time the chain breakers pin decided to get stuck in the chain and completely come out of the chain breaker, don’t know what to do cause I just bought a brand new chain.

i cut it 1 length too short and it wouldn’t fit then i added 1 link and it was way too long and there’s no chain tensioner even with the engine fully moved what gives

What size belt u running on the 420? My jerks with the 7/8 belt.

It's probably not your belt causing that issue. Search "go kart torque converter jerking" and you'll find your answer there.
