Brand new rider here. Yesterday I was on a ride and stalled at a big intersection. A Harley rider turning left saw me, noticed I stalled, and stopped his bike in the middle of the intersection holding up traffic and gave me a head nod so I could go. I was floored…and appreciative ✌🏿
Thats awesome. Most are actually cool, but yeah the culture Harley have cultivated has kinda become a bit of a gag these days lol
Very cool
@@TheGarthinator you know all there is to know about gagging
Harley rider here, I got flack from someone for giving a dude on a Yami "the wave" i told em to suck it, we all love these 2wheel death machines, I'll even do the "wave" to scooters you should see their smiles.
Fuck trikes tho. And those canams.
@@ohshift336 trikes I'm torn on bc some of em are like wounded vets or just aged out of handling a 700 lb cruiser bike..
The South Park Harley noises were the icing on the cake
Fucking funny!
I’ve riddens Harleys for years, and howled at that episode.
That episode was fucking GOLD! Hahahaha!!
Brubrubrubrurburbrurbrurbrub
_"They must think we're pretty cool!"_
I refuse to conform, I will wear a helmet and smile ear to ear while I ride waving at everyone I see
I wouldn’t brag about that too much. They might revoke your HOG membership. lol
A full-face for me. My head is worth more than just a feels good ride.
Me too on my CVO 2020 street glide how can we not smile. In Australia we nod at other riders many Harley riders only nod at other Harley riders though
🤘
You are lucky you have two ears otherwise the smile would go all around ;-)
The sport bike guys were always funny to me. I never understood the idea that "the point of a motorcycle is high-speed and high-performance." And then Harley guys who think somehow their bike is mechanically superior and can match that performance is hilarious to me.
Like, nah, man. I'm just outside enjoying the weather between my house and the store, not trying to set land-speed records on Main street. I don't know what kind of torque my Harley has or what the top speed is. It's comfortable, it's not leaking, I like the sound it makes, and I'm outside. It's a good day.
Spoken like a gentleman
I'm a simple man. My dyna gets me where I want to go and the girls head turn as I cruise by👍
There is nothing like riding a Harley. I have had all sorts of bikes in my life and none of them compare to a Harley.

I wave to everyone, even scooters, i guess I’m not a true Harley guy
As someone too poor to afford a bike license and therefore has to ride a scooter. I thank you. There is nothing more awesome than being acknowledged by the people you one day hope to be.
Thanks alot
you should be ashamed
I wave to scooters as well haha
I wave at everyone not in a cage. Slingshots don't count.
If you’re on two wheels this Harley boy is gonna be waving at ya!
Same lol, only people I dont wave are scooters and 3 wheelers (even other harleys). Not a bike IMO
I was on a goddamn electric scooter once and a guy passed on a harley and gave the wave lol
@@lord_ishamael I wave at folks on scooters AND mopeds! They're getting their first dose of being in the wind. ;-)
@@MrTPF1 you never know why people are on a moped or a trike, I always wave because it could be a guy who can’t ride with 2 wheels because of injuries
Nice to know that when I’m going down the sidewalk on my electric hoverboard I can expect Harley riders to wave.
Can't stop laughing, and I've been riding Harley's so long Exon have a bid in for drilling rights under my driveway.
Brilliant comment sir
LOL.....now that's funny! 🤣
Okay boomer
I got my motorcycle and my endorsement a few weeks ago and I wave at every single biker and they all wave back it me and it's the best feeling ever, I've been waiting for this my entire life! I have mad respect for all you guys and I'm so excited to finally be able to call myself a rider!
I am happy that you are having that reaction. I wave at riders and they do not wave back. I keep doing it, even if it is just for myself.
Welcome sister!
I think it’s lame to wave. Do you wave to cars or trucks when you pass each other? Not referring to you personally just the act of doing it.
Let's RIDE!
@@JackDespero it's 50/50 here. A lot of people are from countries main transport is a bike/scooter so they just don't and probably find it weird
Co worker rides a Harley. Gives me shit everyday for starting out on a 2009 ninja 250 (I’ve only been riding for 5 months) He said I couldn’t even do a burn out with that small of a motor. Even bet me 50$ I couldn’t do it. So now I’m putting that 50$ I won towards new tires.
I’ve done a burnout on a 50cc lol that guy has no idea what he’s on about
That thing tops out at 105 that’s no joke. Ride safe brotha! My enduro only does about 70 lol and same here only been riding since like September
Very smart to start out on a small bike. Was told I would never be able to get motorcycle license on a HD but I did. The reason I have been riding before I was a teenager.
95% of the motorcycles in my area are Harleys owned by older dudes and the closest thing to a helmet they wear are sunglasses.
Are they harley sunglasses though?
TW Bicknell Nah fam you know those are some top dollar Target sunglasses.
Gotta them Locs
They are going to die soon anyway, so they have complete peace of mind and are ready to meet their maker.
A dealer Rep. once told me that 90% of all Harley Davidson motorcycles manufactured since 1972, were still
on the road...
The rest made it home.
As a Harley rider, I notice most of these things are done by the old school harley “soldiers”. They dont even like me even if I’m on a Harley. My vans sneakers and love for everyone is just too much for them. That’s why I love the new generation of Harley riders. Almost all of them are just riding because they want to. They dont need assless chaps and nipple tassels to show they are a “real rider”. But I still show respect to all the old heads. I don’t let them kill my vibe 🤘
Nipple tassels! 😂
Boomers. Basically boomer riders what's left of them anyways.
I had a Fat Bob for a Summer, rode that bike around wearing a Shoei RF1200 and got ZERO waves; and if I passed groups of slow pokes I got the 1 fingered Salute.
You guys must ride somewhere that the culture is different. I'm in northwest Ohio, and everyone waves. I honestly get tired of too much waving. Doesn't matter ninja or harley, helmet or not. Sometimes it's just a little bit annoying.
@@WolfinWolvesClothing713 , I live in another corner of Ohio, around Cincinnati, and it's just like Yammie described it here. 99% of Harley riders don't wear helmets, and 90% don't return a wave.
I’ve riden for 18 years. Took a break to have my kids and recently bought my new Harley to start again.
Funny part is years ago everything in this video was 100%!
However funny thing was, when I bought that iron horse this last time, I was grinning ear to ear and couldn’t stop laughing and being happy and loving my helmets. The other Harley owners and sales floor employees were very confused.
Kids change you.
Also not being able to ride for years...makes a person truly appreciate the ability to ride/be free/make this life style choice after working hard for it.
@Thirteen Thirteen thank you for the positive response and support. 2 down one up to you as well brother. Blessings to you on your journeys
I ride a Harley . I love all motorcycles and respect all riders . I wave to everyone and stop a talk with all riders about their bike or mine . Everyone ride safe
I wish I could have my roadking a Honda CBr a Kawasaki sport tour and a Yamaha fj1400 touring
sheddski nice line up .
Same. And I ALWAYS wear a helmet. And if I look like I'm mean-mugging it, I assure you, it's only related to the wind / bugs. Otherwise, I'm smiling. Hell, I'm the guy in the group ride, that will pump my arm at passing semis, trying to get them to honk. Bikes are too fun to be taken that seriously.
I do ball-bust with Indian riders, though. But it's all in fun.
Kaptain K good stuff man ride safe brother
@@gmoney1592 You too, brother
I assumed they don't wave back because they're terrified to let go of the handlebars...
Why? you will get head shake easier. Maybe to newb to know this, or no experience with both.
So true...
They only let go of the bars to hold mommy’s hand.
Lol... good point. I ride a sporty and I'm not usually scared enough to not wave, but the death wobble on that thing is real. I have scared myself a few times already and I've never had a tank slapper.
Never seen anyone not wave. 🤷♂️
I find this video even funnier now that I own a Harley.
well you are a clown . lol
same lol. Although Im hated by all equally. By Harley dudes for riding a sportster "girls bike" and by everybody else for riding a harley in general
You have it exactly right on the HD kickstand. I have this feeling of “Is my bike gonna fall over” all the time. I looked at a buddy’s bike one day just to see if they leaned the same amount which they did. Thought about buying a new kickstand but it was almost $200. I have 2 Hondas and 1 Triumph and they have super solid kickstands. Glad you said something about it. Now I fell kinda vindicated for feeling the way I did. LOL
The kickstands do that because they notch into a key to keep it from folding up when the 900 lb bike is leaning on it.
I LOVE my HD kickstand.Locks in place, bike can't roll off and fold it up, and when my bike sank into hot asphalt , it slowly leaned over till other parts touched, instead of falling.
I'll trade the kick stand for a kick start, anyday!
But they can fold up on your 2 day old Harley if you’re unaware of how they work and why. ( yes, I did! ) But now, I appreciate it.
Uhm, I'm less concerned the Harley jiffy stand will cause the bike to fall then my Jap bikes because it's locked in the downward place.
I am a harley rider, that makes fun of the harley riders you describe. They are fun to watch though!
As am I. And I can’t even say I haven’t been guilty of some of the things I’ve made fun of people for. (Hides my willie G all black backwards baseball cap )
@@mraycgz yeah, I seldom do anything but scowl while wearing an overpriced 3/4 helmet and hipster sunglasses lol
same you'll see my smiling and waving at everyone i see.... without my helmet
Kinda like being a sportbike rider, ragging on them squids lol
Yesterday, while I was pumping gas into my truck, I watched one of the "exception" riders go by in a 25 mph zone at about 60 mph and still accelerating just so he could hear his VERY loud pipes. His mandatory uniform was intact: black bean helmet, black "wife-beater" tee shirt, black jeans, black bike, super-tall "ape hangers" that he could barely hang onto and of course, the mandatory SCOWL. I was impressed....not.
I have to say - me on my little honda rebel 300 - got a wave back from a Harley Rider - I felt touched.
You’re welcome 😊
A few weeks ago, I waved at a Grom. I think he almost wrecked, he was so excited.
@@Hero_of_Legend I wave at everyone on a bike - no matter what kind - or whose on it.

@@Hero_of_Legend yo don’t knock them till you try them lol. I have a Honda cb1000 and a Honda grom.
Guess which bike I have more fun with?
The four HDs I've owned and ridden thousands of miles on never leaked oil at all. The engines aren't as precise as Hondas, but they're pretty good and reliable. I've had no complaints on Harley's build quality and reliability. I've taken 3,000 mile trips on them with no issues. I'm making a 6k mile cross country trip on my softail next month. All I've ever done was change the fluids periodically.
The three we owned my papa put over 50,000 miles each and they were all perfect, 2 softail deuces and a street glide.
No oil leaks? Well surely you must have a burner then. Check your level!
Had a 48 that broke down regularly but I gotta say she never leaked a drop.
@@LtJackboot What broke on it? Honestly, the newer sportsters (with the Evo engine) should be the most reliable and bulletproof bikes Harley makes. I think I replaced a speed sensor and had to clean corrosion from fuses on one Sportster, but the bike was 13 years old. I took that bike all over the southeastern US.
I just came back from a trip to CA from TN on my softail and had no issues at all.
@@MyDyerMaker Brakes broke 3 times, rear cyl once, tranny grenaded once, carb issues constantly. Everytime I rode that thing it cost me at least a grand. Now I ride Yamaha. Been on my 95 Virago for a decade 🙂
I love the South Park Harley noise. That was such a perfect fit 🤣🤣🤣
Some 55 y/o dude is gonna see this and think it’s completely serious
It’s not .
I'm that guy
I ride and own a few brands, but I put down a lot of miles on my Harley. That is what it's made for. My KTM super Moto, is great when you want to hit the Twisties or be a public nuisance, but you are not riding 400 or 500 miles on it. Riding is riding, can't take Yammie Noob serious,
I'm 55 and I ride a Harley. I got a good chuckle out of it.
@@williamkupper2889 of course you are your profile pic says it all
ONE thing only sport bike riders do: burn their boots on Harley Davidsons!!!! 😁
Why the hell should bikes burn boots?
@@jf2569 Touching the exhaust. Not much of an issue if you have floorboards but when you only have pegs you could have your boot touching all day and not realize it. Also because Harley engines run a bit hotter than other bikes.
I wave to all riders. Even the Harley boys who often don't wave back. Two wheels down to all of my riding brothers and sisters. Cheers!
@@AL-jb1mh Now how exactly would I forget that, lol.
I wave to scooters man, I don't give a damn
I hoot at the delivery bikes :-) lol HD rider here
A late friend of mine, an avid Harley rider told me. Lots of Harley riders avoid talking about is that they avoid riding long distances without a couple of riders on Japanese bikes but they have to be way in the back. I asked him why and he said because Harley will break down one way or another. The reliable Japanese bikes are the ones that run to buy parts. I asked again why not send a Harley rider to buy parts? He said it’s too risky, he might break down on the way to buy or on the way back. 😊😊
Joke's on you guys, I ride a V rod. Even Harley guys hate me.
I'm a Harley riders, KTM rider and even have a Honda C70. 2 wheels are 2 wheels.
That's not entirely true. I'm a Harley guy and can appreciate the vrod. Its just not for me. I personally don't like the styling. I don't care for baggers either so it's really nothing against the vrod
I wanted a Vrod but it was out of my price range so I got a new 883. No regrets though! Love how much the Vrods like to rev.
Hahaha that was good man
Same here lol
Buying a Harley: yesterdays technology at tomorrow’s price!
Yet my 18 year old dyna is still worth 9k€ but a 18 year old honda shadow is 1.000-1.500.
Wow, the most original clown all over the internet.
Did you come up with that all by yourself?
@@forzared101 imagine putting someone down for making a joke. You hurt?
Jake don’t worry about it he’s probably a Harley rider and currently is upset let’s check back on him later :)
I wave to everyone riding a motorcycle. Even to those who ride mopeds.
I ride a Vespa and I wave at other bikers
Shoot I even wave to people on road and mountain bikes. I even wave to motorcycle riders when I'm in my car, im silly like that,
The local dude on the moped is a jerk literally thinks he’s better than a Harley the other local guy is nice as can be but I guess he got hit bad back in the day now wears all neon green and bright red moped
“Sell club Dynas to dentist so they can cosplay…” you couldn’t say better!
The moment i heard the south park voices of harley riders i spat out my coffee.
I find most Harley riders wave back, it don’t get me started on those BMW riders
Hey, there is a very good reason BMW riders will not wave: it might be misinterpreted as a friendly gesture.
No they dont
I own a Harley. I see a lot of BMW GS rider's here in Germany an the most of them don't wave back. Very arrogant people
it’s cuz they’re usually going 140mph plus.
Nah.. I have 2 BMWs.. I always wave.. I find most Harley guys wave, but on occasion you'll even get that Harley guy that will look the other way when you pass them. And it's usually the guys that have the 4ft mirror whip hanging from their handgrip.. Now that's some stupid shit..... Now ANYONE that doesn't wave? Asshole.
I actually witnessed the 'real bike' argument in real life.
And the guy making the argument did'nt even own a Harley.
And to his credit, the guy who was standing there ,getting his great Japanese bike completely trashed for about five minutes, acted the exact same way.
He just smiled, looking at the fool ,prove he was a fool.
I pick my first Harley up in 2 days. I find this video both accurate and hilarious.
The extra sag is actually the jiffy stand locking in place. You can drag the bike forward or aft or even park nose down hill and the jiffy stand won’t..(ka-plink) like sport bikes.
I found this entertaining as a former sport bike guy on a HD.
Doesn’t matter what you ride, what matters is you ride. ❤️
I was a manager at a flagship HD store....and I've seen people drop HDs way too many times by not engaging the kick stand properly. I personally never lean over an HD cruiser without keeping the pressure on the stand all the way out as I lean it. Love the HD brand but man I feel like it's held hostage by its own aging customer base. I'm worried that the brand will dissappear without constant government support.
I wave at everyone.
Doesn't matter if they don't wave back.
I do too, and I'm a Harley rider.
Anyone on two wheels (except scooters cuz I'm a jerk)
Same, MT-07 rider here and I don’t give a shit, if you’ve got 2 wheels and a motor you’re getting a wave. 🤘🏼
me too
Me too, we're all out there doing the same thing, facing the same challenges
I’m too old to be trying to recover from traumatic head and face injuries. Bought a Shoei Neotec with Sena System.
I rode sport bikes for years. Now I ride a bagger. Love them all!! I have had Hayabusa, Ninja, CBR. Now I'm in my 40s, time to kick back and be comfortable for awhile and not get anymore speeding tickets. And I wave at everyone with a big smile on my face!!! Love your videos.
You’re not a real Harley person if it runs right. Trust me, my shovelhead still isn’t road worthy.
If your bike never runs right, then you probably shouldn't be the one working on it
When people ask about my Goldwing I tell them it’s what I ride when my Harley is in the shop.
can say the same about my hawk 250 LOL
Thats odd, my shovelhead runs great, and i put the miles on it
Try owning an "AMF" rig, lol!!!
Harley riders have mellowed over the decades, and that's a good thing. I'm a UJM guy, and today's Harley riders almost always wave when we pass opposite to each other. But of course, in the past Harley riders had nothing but disdain for a Japanese bike. Back in the '70's, on the way to work I used to pass a Harley guy every day going the opposite way, and I would wave to him. He always looked straight ahead, no eye contact, no smile, making the point that I didn't exist in his world. LOL! But in general today's Harley riders exude motorcyclist brotherly love to all.
I've owned several UJM's since the 80's and I'm riding a Sportster today. Love 'em all!!!!!
Bro !...that was me !
I'm 49, riding since 6. Harley since 25, Yammy before that. I wave to all bikes.
Just discovered this channel couple days ago and as sport bike and HD owner, I find these videos hilarious! I guess I am no real Harley dude haha!
So true, Yam. The worst juicebox on any motorcycle is more worthy of your respect than any cager out there. Long time sport biker, now riding a GS, but I always wave to the bros, and always stop to offer help to anyone on the side of the road with their bike.
The jiffy stand ("kick stand") is something that should be equiped on all bikes from factory not shunned by those who don't understand what a life saver it can be
2019 Fat Boy owner here & this was hilarious. Gotta be able to laugh at yourself on occasion
Well, you do own the Terminator bike, so you signed onto that one knowing a few Arnie jokes are gonna get tossed your way hehe.
Nice. I am convinced if and when I ever get rid of my Deuce, I'll probably go with a Fatboy next. But god, those wheels have got to go...
Me too, what's the point of all these people crying about not getting a wave from another rider?
Sporty 1200 here, and I agree completely.
04 vrod and just got a 15 fat boy... Both were friends of mine, thankfully the vrod guy is still alive. I wave at everybody and a lot of Harley guys don't wave at me on the vrod because it's not a "real" harley
Hilarious! I started on dirt bikes, moved to sport bikes when I was young and dumb and full of... well.... energy. When the bikes got faster than I could think, I moved to a succession of Hardley Ablesons just because they were so good at going slow! Now that I'm closing in on 70, I find I spend more time on my old BMW ex-CHIPS bike, just because the 880 pound bagger is starting to get a little challenging with the accumulation of physical damage over the years. It's true, the Harley riders can be a culture unto themselves, but the BMW guys have kind of a unique perspective as well. They're all bikers to me. Thanks for the fun video! :o)
I'm new to riding, but in the 2 months I've had my supermoto I have experienced the waving issue, seems like everyone waves on all sorts of different bikes. The people who don't wave are always riding cruisers go figure.
Actually, the extra movement when leaning a Harley on its stand is to engage the lock. This prevents the bike from rolling and falling if parked on a slight incline. My busa does not have this excellent feature.
Excellent observation and fact.
@Papa Cyclepilot Hey Mr. Obvious! My driveway has an incline to it. But when I go for a ride I can put my harley into neutral and start it up so it can warm up while I put my gear on. No need to worry about it rolling forward on me. Like I said, excellent feature.
@Papa Cyclepilot Thanks. I just learnt me sumthin.
@Papa Cyclepilot well touché Captain, excellent point. Never start up your Harley and let it idle for too long. My suggestion would be to start her up, put on your helmet and gloves, and ride off. This should not take more than one minute, plenty of time for the engine internals to lube up without letting it heat up too much.
I've been a harley rider forever. I've noticed that harley riders profile other riders based upon your choice of helmet and apparel.
I will always get a wave if I wear my half helmet and leather vest. Only a wave 60% of the time if I'm wearing my full face and random tee-shirt.
I wave at everyone except the scooter riders that wear button downs and skinny jeans.
2009 Sportster 1200. 25k miles. Never dripped oil and I beat on it like a rental. They stopped leaking as a brand in the 1990s. Any shop that tells you its supposed to leak is a bad shop or the guy is a mook and you shouldn't trust their work. Sometimes that's the dealer and that's why they're in the position they're in now.
The kickstand part is totally true. I feel like Im going to dump the bike when I sit on them at the dealer lol
That kickstand bit hit me in the soul. Been riding a Harley for the last 6 years and I still can't get used to that damn kickstand.
I am officially triggered; but I think I could add another 100 or so to this list...
😂 I lost it when Spike said it'll be a real bike when you finally put a turbo in it. Them feels 😂
i literally like any style and brand of bikes. I like cruisers, bobbers, sport bikes, cafe’s, naked, retro, literally any bike that is taken care of looks nice to me
Been biking for decades and I’ve just left a deposit on my first Harley. I haven’t even seen it and bought blind because of the covid lockdown.. I’m fully expecting it to be a disappointment and I haven’t even sat my arse on it. No joke.
You sound like a smart guy…
should play this at every harley davidson dealership on loop all day.
What always cracks me up is when I see someone dressed head to toe in Harley Davidson apparel (one guy even had a riding jacket) yet when I ask what they ride, they say they’ve never owned a motorcycle in their entire life nor have they ever ridden one :| (and I actually own a Harley too which makes it even more odd to me)
Thanks for the heads up on the kick stand 😂 also Extremely relieved i can stop waving knowing I'm buying into the master race
Old Harley girl here…very entertaining video! Spot-on on the jiffy stand too! My current bike is a Softail Deluxe, best one out of the 5 Harleys I’ve owned by far, oil tight (can’t say that about the pre-evos I owned), as reliable as a good car. I wave at everyone ‘cos I’m just a nice person with bugs on her teeth. 💕
Top reason Harley riders don't wave.
It takes two hands to run a wheelbarrow..
Fantastic, lol
😂😂😂😂
hahahahaha
Yes a few of the Harley wheelbarrows passed me today, not even a nod 😄
My Evo wheelbarrow runs all day at 70-80 mph with no problem.....even in 100 F heat....
I've been wearing a full face and waving at everyone, I guess I've been doing it all wrong then? I knew I was feeling something that I'd never felt before that I couldn't quite put my finger on? Thanks for letting me know that feeling is 'superiority'.
We actually like to call it a "Superior Inferiority complex"
Felt pretty good when i got my first wave on my 400 from an old guy on a harley lol 😁
I just got a small giggle at most of this, but the jiffy stand bit - spit soda through my nose. After many years of riding a Harley, that one still gets me.
My boyfriend loves you! Lol. As in...he randomly yells out stuff like hayabusa and ATGATT and anything noob related.... Thanks for the videos! Lol
Thats sweet, well I guess I love him back.
I was riding my Ultra LTD and got passed by a scooter and there were witnesses. Some things you just can't live down. I wave at everyone on two wheels and respect them for choosing to take the chance.
I ride a Harley and wave to other riders no matter what. Well except for scooters. Sometimes I get a return wave sometimes not. My bike is a 2008 and I have not had any real issues with leaking oil. When it did happen, it was because whoever replaced the primary gasket, didn't torque it correctly. Back in the 70's, I had a Superglide, when Harley was owned by AMF, there were more problems with oil. And a few electrical issues. But I have had a total of 3 Harleys. the 78 Superglide, an 04 Superglide and the 08 Ultra. I have been happy with all of them. I do have to be honest, I do not smile much while riding, but I ride alone alot and just listen to either the radio or a CD. And smoke a cigar.
I have always were a helmet. The deal I made with my mom buying me my first bike. It was a 150$ Honda T90 scrambler. We bought it from my uncle who won the Elsinore 250 on a Honda 305 scrambler in the early 70s . I got so much fun out of it. I learned so much on that bike. And then dirt bikes came out.
The CC flex is real, every rider I know when I mention I'm looking into getting an S40 (650cc) is like "c'mon, thats not enough, you're gonna need at least _X_cc!" where X is usually their own bikes engine capacity.
i ride a harley, and honestly, its always the sport bike bois that dont wave back :(
I'm a sport bike boi and I wave to all the riders 😀✌🏼.
We're hanging on for dear life🤣😂
the well has been POISONED lol
For me, it's the KFC delivery bike team that don't wave back
@CZcamsBest I ride a streetfighter it's always the cruisers that don't wavee
I remember when I first started riding on a Honda Magna, a noticeable percentage of the old school Harley guys wouldn't return my wave. Didn't bother me or stop me from waving, but when I upgraded to my Honda Valkyrie (which was custom painted and tricked out), almost everyone waved, even almost all of the old school Harley guys. Course, this was in the days before The Rocket 3, and Valkyrie hadn't been discontinued yet. I think it was the sheer size that made them respect it even if it wasn't a Harley.
You got the kickstand part right. I park facing uphill (in 1st gear). #1 the kickstand stays at it's full extension. #2 It helps you back up that heavy machine. Yes, we ride slower enjoying scenery, not in the left lane though. I own two Harleys and never lost a drop of oil. Funny video though.
I have an old Harley Sportster but wear a dual sport helmet, an A-Stars jacket and boots. Nobody likes me because I'm not "one of them." And I'm fine with that. My dog and girlfriend love me so that's what matters.
Great video. I see how it was done in good humor and I enjoyed it! Been riding a Harley since 09. And yes... I wave to anyone on two wheels. 🤙🏻
oh, you're just meant to THINK that its in good humor.
The kickstand remarks got me. You’re talking about just leaning bike on kickstand itself. Try putting all the faith in the world on that kickstand while I kickstart my pan/shovel 😂. But all jokes aside I wave to everyone and I always wear a helmet I don’t care what you ride as long as you’re riding.
I know a guy who craps on harleys even though he rides in leathers and has owned them in the past. One day he deadpan serious told me that 1300cc is a small bike. I refuse to listen to anything he claims to know about riding and refuse to let him ride my bike...
Few weeks ago I did back-to-back 1000 mile days on a Harley Street glide...no way I could do that on my R1.
It takes approximately 15 hours going 65 mph to drive 1000 miles. How f_ _king fast were you going?!
@@lannyqualls9428 My guess is 85+ in a straight line on an interstate.
Yeah, the kickstand statement was spot on. I use to ride sport bikes and when I first started riding my current bike, I damn near had a heart attack when I put the kickstand down. I did get use to it relatively quick but I was certain I was dropping it the first 4-5 times
I borrowed my brothers heritage softball 3 days after he bought it and it didn't stop after that first 2 inch drop. I dropped it in dreadful slow motion, and wouldn't u know that as I started picking it back up some guy rides by on a cherry street bob and stops to help me pick it back up...lol. I appreciate his kindness but DAMN! Did there HAVE to be witnesses?
I have a Ninja 1000 and a Harley Roadglide, been riding for 30+ years. Like many others here I wave to all and don't get caught up in the old school Harley nonsense. I have passed bikers on my way to work who wave to me on the Harley, and yet the next day ignore me on the Ninja, while I'm wearing the exact same gear. From my observations, it is mostly a minority of older riders that have that arrogant opinion of all other riders, but having said that I am seeing a slow swing to a more inviting generation of HD riders, and I like that. In my humble opinion, the best at the wave have always been the sport bikes. That group always seems to wave at everyone :-)
Always remember, of many we are all one.
I’ve been riding Heritage soft tail, and once an a while Ducati 999 for many years. Love them both. I see where your biases against cruisers lol I mean your not wrong, at least not completely , if their ain’t no oil under it there ain’t no oil in it.
As a Harley rider, the last point isn't needed. Of course you respect me. I have a HARLEY! Granted it is a completely stock, used 883, but I'm king of the road!
Until that guy on a 2019 Goldwing passes you so fast that you have no hope of catching up.
Stephen Miller lol nah not on an 883 😘
Lol it's cute that u think u r king of the road
@@migueljonz3901 I have a 2015 F6B and did just that to a pack of 8 of them yesterday. ;) The no waving thing I get though, I mean if my handle bars vibrated that much I probably wouldn't want to let go either.... but the always riding in packs thing, blows my mind.
I’m the king of the road I got a 2020 low rider s
"screaming seagull upgrade" OMG IM DIEING
squawking chicken
it's S/E. Super Expensive.
I ride a Harley because I like the bike, I don't wear a helmet because I live in state that allows me that choice, I wear a vest because I don't like my shirt blowing all over the place, I turn my radio down at red lights and I wave at all bikers and on occasion I will even wave at somebody driving one of those 3 wheel vehicles that doesn't know if it wants to be a bike or a car. If I owned a bike that was not a Harley I would not change a thing about the way I ride.
I’ve helped out HD riders and I’ve had them look out for me. I pass mostly Harleys on my way to and from work (often the same riders) and they all wave. Never met any of them, but it’s a nice way to start and end your day in this increasingly in-personable world.
Harley riders don't wave because they have their hands occupied, trying to hurl their steelhogs round the corner!
4The2nd There’s these things where you say something for comedic effect called a “joke”. He was kidding my guy
Chromed elephant
This cracked me up. I just made the change from a ZX6RR to a Night Rod. 120hp, loves to rev and comfortable. I still wear full gear on it which people seem not used to seeing on a HD.
That was a hilarious video! I'm going to watch the video yam.
This is the first video by you that I watched you're funny I love the soundtrack of all the guys in between the video segments that was hilarious as a Harley Rider I do wave though by the way lmfao.
Just passed my skills test today and earned my motorcycle endorsement. Your videos really helped. Keep up the good work! Squid out!
I’ll never understand why a brand or style of bike dictates what people wear. I’m a hi-viz, helmet always guy that waves at every biker and couldn’t care less what other riders think.
The biggest reason I was never tempted to get a Harley is the uniform requirement. I just don't feel like collecting black tee shirts from Harley dealers as far away from my town as possible.
I love my Harley and this video was hilarious. Also, I'm stoked when anyone throws down 2s at me when I'm riding. Sport bike or cruiser, we all on two wheels having a good time🤙
I've had 200+ hp sport bikes and I loved them. However, track days ruined them for me riding for the street. What they can do on the track is absolutely unbelievable. Riding an R1 on the street safely is just boring. I just bought a Road Glide Special and it's a much better street bike in every respect. I'd love to get a 636 for the track though. I use gloves and a full face helmet on the street. I wave at everyone. But, the stereotypes are accurate for a lot of Harley riders, unfortunately. Just not me.
I have been riding so long l am has been instead of a wanta be and I to give the high sign to every rider .RIDE SAFE
Same here
Lmao. I ride a 2008 Harley and I love this. We all know it’s making fun of the stereotype. The South Park audio clip is a hilarious addition.
I wave to every bike, but I gotta say this; you do use the word brotherhood too loosely. I’ll stop to help any bike, I’ll wave at any bike, but not everyone on two wheel is my brother. This is not a “Harley” thing, this is a man thing. Brotherhood must be earned.
Great video, hilarious as hell.
That kick stand got me at the gas station haha. I thought it was all the way setteled in or whatever and it lurched to the side after I got off it. My heart sank so deep into my stomach for a second.
As someone who rides a Dyna and works at a Harley shop I approve of these top 9 things. XD But real talk the one thing that ticks me off the most is ones that's don't wave at other bikers. All ways show respect to the 2 wheel brothers. Aswell as the saftey gear. ATGATT
I'm not trying to be a dick... but has anyone ever seen a Harley rider who isn't carrying a bit of extra weight?
Zee
Litt
I can only think of Captain America and Pete Fonda.
Me.... yup I'm not a fatty
My son rides a costume Harley and he’s 5.10 and 180
i love all the hate that Harley gets, it makes me like riding mine just that much more. Harley's get a lot of shit but i love mine and really have no interest in riding anything else.
And that's what it's all about!
I love it because I know the real reason they hate my Harley is because their girl likes it better than their bike
I think that Harley is just as much a lifestyle as anything else.
I love my Harley and my 600rr, not sure why it has to be one or the other. I love motorcycles in general, it is just the shitty people who ruin it for everyone.
@@NeverDoubtMe23 I definitely don't think it should matter. Ride what you want and dont give a shit what others ride. I personally think a sport bike is pointless unless you are doing some track days, but that's just me. I just ride to ride and I appreciate others that do too
Best conversation i had was with an old Harley rider. I was still saving for my first bike and I wanted a sport bike. I complemented his bike and asked him the size of the engine and then i laughed at myself and said it was actually bigger than my honda . He thought i was on talking about my bike but he went on to talk about loving fast bikes when he was younger but now that he was much older appreciated the slow rides. We had a laugh when i told him i was talking about my Honda Civic haha . He's been the only cool Harley rider I've ever met. I miss that generation in general .
The first time I ever rode a Harley was when another biker who owned it asked me to try it out. Sure. I got three blocks away. And coming up to a red light ready to drop down to first. The damn gear shifter knob. Fell off. It fell the fuck off like it was possessed. It jumped across the street. I made the stop light. But headed back to dudes crib. Had to break the news. Hay I broke your Harley not. The damn shifter fell the hell off. A newbie woulda been stuck. There. I then jumped on my real bike a 1982 Yamaha xj750 inline four. And went to retrieve his broken arrow. Never again ever will I ride or own. Even if giving free a Harley. I then informed him what Lock Tight is. Cheers.
I cannot tell you how many Harley riders don’t trim there gents!! It gets me every time!
Haw did you get the data!?!?!?!?!?
Marek Hlaváčkoví your mom was telling me!
I don’t trim. I need that extra hair for combover. 😂
Alot of hours down in front of em huh
Chicks like it manly. Not like a Ken doll.
I wave at fellow harley riders they never wave back it’s like a challenge now
I ride a Harley and wave back. I'm like a leather bound unicorn.
I ride a Harley and acknowledge all riders . Most Harley riders do we are just getting a bad rep on this channel
I know at least 5 - 6 Harley’s rounding round by me, one guy I always see wave, no doubt, other two head nod, the rest, plus strangers, I have more chance actually riding their bike 😂 but I do love the Harley’s
@Nombre Apellido 🤣🤣 dying
I flip off all the dickhead harley riders I see.
I ride a Harley dyna, and this entire list had me bustin a gut! I wave at everyone I cross paths with. I don’t always wear a helmet but I do sometimes. I love to dig into a curve and push the limits. Whatever you’re ridin, let’s ride! I don’t fall into that “Harleys are superior to all” category, cause honestly they’re over priced and obnoxiously expensive to fix when they break. But I love mine but I’d like to get a busa one day🤘
