One of the best things about bill is his creativity at coming up with metaphors. Comparing holiday gift giving pressure to buying off third world dictators is hilarious, somewhat accurate, and pure bill burr
True, I hate presents, they're for kids, & maybe bday for adults, but I don't think he meant exactly that, when he said people asked what is he going to get his wife, I think he was referring to that he needs to buy his wife off, I think it's why he used the word tribute. Bill comedically delivers the line "having kids takes suicide off the table" so nonchalantly that he plays off the fact that it's completely true! You only see it if it's in your experience.
It’s not. Sometimes it’s the kids that lead someone to make that decision-that failing them, unable to provide them food makes them worthless. It’s the story of so many farmers in India. Losing a crop yield, due to drought or pests and not getting assistance from government or getting delayed by corrupt officials, seeing their family starving and deciding that they failed in life and then? Suicide, most often by hanging themselves

Bill is such a talker, you can’t follow him with a lot of talk. Funny facial expressions and two or three words and done.
His nose was chiseled by the gods themselves. His body was sculpted to the proportions of Michelangelo's David. Bill on the other hand, well... he's a pit of despair.
I really like this style of interview, seeing the guests interact. Graham Norton does his interviews like this but guides it more so that the actors can give an anecdote from the joke or introduce the next topic.

Well, Bill did just get done saying that he used to be that way (wait until the last minute and then be forced to participate in the Christmas shopping rat race), and that this year he go ahead of the game and got it all done before it become some big last minute stressful experience. So I think Bill understands how Christmas can sometimes creep up on you.
The whole interview was oddly done. The actors should be set up for interesting anecdotes. And the funniest person always goes last. Bill knows the guy is trying. You're following a legend here.

The reason is because Bill typically goes on late shows to test potential stand-up material while Glenn is more of a writers room and 'give me my lines' kind of funny. I think it's fair to say Burr is the funnier dude and everything, but there are definitely other factors at play.
