Memories of a life of biking:- 40 years ago started with a Luna, then a Jawa 250 , RD 350, RX 135 ,Honda CX 500, CBR 600 F2, Lamby 150,CB 750,TVS XL Heavy Duty, Yamaha 150 FZ, Triumph Bonnie, Suzuki V Storm 250 the beauty of any kind of bike is what it is . Different bikes for different purposes , the TVS for daily rides through the congested traffic which you can also push on the footpath and carry a cement bag , the FZ for a longer city ride, the Triumph for Sunday breakfast, the Suzuki V Storm for a long trip. Each one gives a special feeling. Have travelled long distance on all of them, including the Luna and TVS , with the RX Bangalore to Leh , the advantage of a light bike in long distance travel especially if one travels alone is a important factor. Have also cycled through South India and Germany. All I can say as I am nearing 65 years, I have loved the freedom of 2 wheels and will keep on riding as long as possible. LIVE TO RIDE.
Any bike or product should be used atleast 60-70% of capabilities to justify a purchase. No point in having a 100bhp bike to go to shops to buy milk. I feel bad to see ppl going to shop in a Fortuner!!! Ppl buying a SBK to go bfast riding..should get themselves a bicycle and ride 30km each morning...atleast they will get fit and can ride any bike fast. I m on my 5th bicycle and 10th motorcycle(just 250cc now, but owned 650s in the past)...i ride on track n go on tours and ride my bicycle more than bike/car... Get fit, ride safe
I met him at a mall when he was going to movie. Super chill dude was totally fine with me taking a picture with him. Even advised my mom on how to ride and handle a bike.
I am a rider for 30 years but now I feel roads are bad and traffic is a havoc. The way people drive and ride is terrible. Riding is getting risky and enjoyment is far far away

Dosto ish video pe hum baat kar rahe hain How is a bigger bike different than a small bike. Here I am not trying to justify that u all should jump for big bike. But haan if u have got a dream and you can afford it at any point of time, then u should.
Exactly ! You nailed it right in the head ! It is not worth the money to spend more than 3 - 4 lakhs on a bike in India. The best bikes for INDIA are under 1 lakh. If you buy an expensive bike in India, because of the traffic and strict speed limits and the amount of hazards on the road is maddening. (cows, animals, people, potholes, all kinds of people bicycles, buses, autos, cars and lorries DRIVING ON THE WRONG LANE of the road). The issue is, when you ride a big bike for a long distance, you'll be focussed on the motorcycle more than anything else. People forget that the ride is about the people and places and food and all other things. As long as you have a decent bike. you're good. You can hit any highway in India and even exceed the speed limit with a 200cc to 300cc bike.
I like the last statement as we feel great when we gradually upgrade. I started with passion 100cc, CBZ 150cc, pulsar 180, Karizma 225cc, bullet 350cc, street 750 and finally I ride Harley sportster 1200 custom. Many more to come 😉
That's a slippery slope of an argument. Say 90% of the population buy small commuter bikes for their purpose and they may say big bikes are a waste of money. In the same token, one can easily tell the time (in fact more accurately!) with a cheap Citizen/ Timex watch or with the cellphone, aren't the Rolexes and Omegas, not to say the more expensive watches a waste of money? Why wear Nike shoes when our Action or similar brand can get the job done in less than 1/3rd the price. In fact, why aspire to own land and build a proper house when a 3bhk flat can do just fine? These are all aspirational targets for most to work towards and to dream for. For those that can afford them and use them, Great! Some may not want them, that too is OK. But I suspect most people who say expensive and better quality stuff in life are a waste of time are the ones who can't afford them. For all the arguments you give against more expensive, bigger, more powerful motorcycles, I could give you ten more against those piddly 150cc commuters
Hey Bulu, This is completely subjective. I tend to agree with the person who wrote the mail to you. Even owning big/fancy cars is in my opinion a waste in a city like Mumbai. Plz show me the roads where I can comfortably cruise at 100kmph within the city limits. The ongoing metro projects in various parts of the city, concretisation of various roads, encroachments by hawkers & hutment dwellers across the length & breadth of the city, prevent anyone, no matter how skilled a driver he/she might be from doing this. Not to mention the plethora of speed breakers thrown in for good measure, it's a wonder if we can shift into 4th gear at all, & stay there for sometime! That been said, wrt motorbikes, yes, bottomline is that so many Expressways/Roads motorbikes not allowed, so it makes no sense owning any fancy motorbike. Moreover, a BMW always draws unwarranted attention & curiosity, which I can well live without. They will fidget with your mirrors, adjusting their hairstyle/sit on it/play with levers, may even break/damage them. And who has to bear the expense for someone else's carelessness?? This over & above the already expensive maintainance. It's sadly, a very Indian trait to touch/feel someone else's vehicle, maybe inadvertently/purposely scratch/damage it, just for "fun" /cheap thrills/momentary pleasure. Trust me, you hardly find this behavior outside India. So, no, here, I'm happier sticking with "practical" /common sense vehicles, which are easier on the pocket & cause me less heartburn in the event of any damage. Ride safe & tc.
I left biking two years back owing to unsafe driving habits. What you have said is right. Buying higher cc motorcycles in India is an utter waste of time. I might buy something like the upcoming Standard 650 from RE, a classic retro or the Bonnie and I am done.
Bulu bhai. You have always inspired me. All said and done. The freedom and feeling of riding a two wheeler is like a dream come true for us. From riding cycles on highways to scooty. From scooty to RE Thunderbird UCE. From Thunderbird to Kawasaki Vulcan. From Vulcan to classic. Now from classic to Interceptor. Leh Ladakh Manali done in 2015. Expressways pe wo mazaa nahi hai jo countryside mein hai. Of course the convenience is what one misses but biking is an adventure. A wholesome experience. I think a twin engine is a must and can fulfill most needs of a bike enthusiast without issues. Above that is a higher experience with bigger responsibilities and expenditure. Thanks!
Started learning with RX 135 from a cousin. Leaving my comment with history of bikes I bought over time. Hopefully will come back in future to update the list with a bigger bike! Wonderful explanation of a bikers feeling Bulu bhai. -> 2007 Bajaj Discover 135 -> 2015 RE Bullet Classic 500 -> 2024 RE Himalayan 450
One of best video on internet about big bikes, you touch base all important aspects of owning a bike be it 100cc or 4000cc. That’s why I follow and admire you since very long. Keep making such videos. God bless you good health so that you can own a hayabusa one day. ❤❤
Loved the phrase Practicality to hoti rahegi dream bike honi chahiye garage me❤❤❤ Yeh bolke Bulu bhai aapne mere doubt k cloud clear kar diye ki big bike leni chahiye ki nahi
So informative ... especially from the one who has done it all .Only a biker will understand every emotion of what you have explained though your experiences. Thanks .❤❤
Bulu bhai through this message and video uou have struck a chord with like minded people like me regarding the decision to buy a big bike. You have related it so well with the thought of abundance and aspiration to achieve more. Super 360 change in thinking - out of the box - thanks for sharing
For someone bikes are Fashion, for someone it’s Passion, If it’s for passion, you will use it, maintain it value it, travel the world, or may be country, make sure you get what you can afford, if you have budget of 10lacs get one that costs 6-7, spend the rest in travelling and maintaining, bikes are meant to be ridden, to enjoy, TBH: ADVs are rich-men-sport, don’t get into it out of curiosity, a 2 cylinder(NX500 or even Himalayan) can give everything what you need.
Big are dream of many, they are not waste of money and those who say they don't even ride, many man have a dream to purchase a R1, zx10r, duke 390 adventure or a Hayabusa, only a true biker know the value of bikes.
while what you're saying makes sense, something like a Himalayan/390 adv can do pretty much everything, go to 100 quickly, break quickly maintain good cruising speed, you can own a big bike if you like it but in india there's really no benifit to owning something over 40-50bhp
Big bikes are not a waste anywhere in the world !! You should never measure the usefulness of an automobile by the top speed you do. Be it a car, be it a motorcycle. To put it simple, bigger engines are worth it if you can afford one. It's not just the engine that you are buying. It will come with better brakes, better stability and better safety. Short on money ? No problem, the middle weights do 80% of what the big boys can do. No problemo.... Life is good guys, keep riding !!
Very well argued bhai. Agree it's also about the 'feel' of riding a bike rather than just practical advantages. I wish to own a Triumph Tiger 900 someday.
Wonderful video delving into the psychography of a passionate biker . Have seen your biking progression and now able to fully understand your passion which seems to grow faster with your age . With best wishes ❤
Owning a bike can't be justified through numbers(maths) as owning experience is purely emotional...that is the reason all are NOT bikers.. and only few who connects can own a bike...
Bhai kya big bikes are there only speed not for feel of twin cylinder or inline 4 and Relaxed riding at steady speeds. Maine toh isikeliye super bike liya hai
Nice vlog. This thought is going thru my mind from past 3-4 years and the recent launch of NX500 is re-ignited this. This vlog will help surely for me :)
Hello sir. Being one of your CZcams subscribers. Recently you made a video of why big bikes are a waste of money. Recently, a new expressway was inaugurated by our honourable pm i.e. Dwarka expressway. But as always bikes are not allowed to go on that road. Don't you think that building a new expressway and not allowing the bikers to ride on it is simple injustice. Due to some crazy people only to create content on CZcams just for the likes and subscribers and causing trouble for other commuters leading to a bad image for the entire biking community. Why aren't high-speed cars banned from these expressways, even though they cause fatal accidents? for building these lavish expressway even the bikers community are also paying money in the form of taxes but can't avail the facility.
Sir Jo aapne last mein feelings wali baat boli vo bahot achi thi or mere ko bhi achi lagi . But usi feeling ko log DIKHAWA Bolte hai. Badi bike hai 350 ya 400 cc ki toh dikhawa kar raha hai
My dream bike was yamaha yzf r1-M which got discontinued previous month from sales in various regions of the world. R1m was always a fancy bike which I dreamed for and It felt good every time i watched it on the road cruising and making loud exhaust noises, it created a big bang environment on road making u feel that the real boss motorcycle is on the road and those small displacement motorcycle salute their arrival on the road and not to forget police who always wait for it to be stopped and fine them a hefty challan if it's not street legal in those state.
My dream bike was always Pulsar 220 since it's launch. 2017 I bought Dominar after saving for about 6 years. 2022 Ducati monster and met with an tragic accident Honestly I can relate to every single word you've been talking practically on our kinda requirements @bulubiker bhai... Having ridden about 4l KM's starting from KB100 to liter class I feel it's time to look at NX500 😝
Bulu Bhai Jaise aur countries mein Expressway legal bikes hoti h Waisa India mein bhi ho CC/Bhp, ke sath proper riding gears ka kuch criteria ke sath allow hona chahiye Abhi Yamuna Expressway Agra Lucknow Expressway Purvanchal Expressway UP mein allow hai bikes
I dont think it is a waste of money. It is an individual perception. Every biker dreams of owning a big bike once in his riding collection. As seen recently the attitude is changing and people are buying big bikes for their comfort, stability and power for long rides. I too wish to own one someday. Currently in love with the Tiger 900 after multiple test rides.
Bhai my friend's monthly sallery 30k per month . He want to buy a bike or scutty . Please suggest .He want to buy for city ridings . Saal mai 30 din ghar mai reheate he O . Under 1.5 on road price mai konsa achha rehaga..tvs n torque/ Sp125/ .....
I bought my motorcycle in 2021 and since then the scenario changed drastically, road accident with two wheeler has raised in just two years, climate change and extreme warm weather, nothing favouable in terms of riding in Delhi ncr, now I just use it for some errands, only 2500 kilometers in since October 2021
Bulu bhai: What is the plan when the NX500 tyres comes for a change? If Raise has any plan to launch tyres for NX500? They have time till we wear off tyres around 10000+ kms
I stopped riding 15 yrs ago and drove only luxury cars (merc & bmw). My last bike was a RE Thunderbird and it literally was not ridden for 6 yrs, until I gave it away. Recently I thought I want to get back to riding but wife was 100% sure that I will not. So I bought a pre-owned 2019 Ninja to see if I will use it or not. It is the best thing I hv bought in a long time!! I ride it all the time, I gave my car away to my wife 😂 I m pretty sure I will upgrade to a GS 1300 or similar motorcycle within a year. It’s the feeling you get when you ride a bike. And no offence, small bikes including Himalayan and KTM are kind of compromising with your feeling kind of bikes 😂
those lights flickering is bit annoying. 24 fps or 60fps usually cause this kind of flickering. .. try 25 fps or 50fps for Indian standard lighting conditions that's better if that doesn't work then only 2 options. Change the lights or move to higher end camera that allows to change shutter angle in small increments. Story is more important which you know very well. No one cares about the rest other than people who are deep into cinematography. Always good to watch your simple videos.
in older bikes there was no need to change the chain and sprockt till 1L km?? Why now?? Earler there used to be chain cover, why not now?? to increase life of chain sprocket and also chain lub and clean was also not that important after evry 500 ks
I own Classic 500 and a Sm650 but would like to own a HD fatboy one day!Sab kalpanik baatein hai !Pesa hona chahye bas bike kharidne ke liye aur usko chalane ke liye!
One should buy a bike that is not heavy, not tall for your height and one does not need more than a 400 cc for beginners n intermediate riders. Big bikes will be difficult to manouvre and hence can get tiring
Bulu bhai is close to amith shah and Nithin gadkari. You should be representative of Indian bikers community and request them for allowing bikers in express way.❤
With due respect to all bikes and bikers, I can say one thing for people saying that 300 to 500 cc bikes can also brake early or attain better performance with right modifications, remember... Kauwa jitna bhi washing machine mein nahale, kabhi Bagula nehi Banta - hungama dekha hai nah? The engineering, performance, weight management, electronics in the litre class or even the 650cc plus bikes are unparalleled... if you haven't ridden one of those, you don't know... you can't judge... it's important to have fun with safety in whatever you ride, but judging the choices of others and trying to justify the choices you made is not correct... it's very subjective!
Bulu Bhai, Lighter is always better. I drove approx 4 lac kms using commuter bikes , 100 cc for 5 years and 125 cc for last 17 years. Its economical , easy to ride in traffic and narrow or bumpy roads with many potholes.

I think a twin engine is a must and can fulfill most needs of a bike enthusiast without issues. Above that is a higher experience with bigger responsibilities and expenditure. Thanks!
Riding Bullet 500 since 8 years, Superb Highway cruising experience.
Mere pass to cycle v nahi hai 😢😢😢
Ha lekin ek car kharida hai maine 😊😊😊
Bhai tumhare video bohot interesting hote hai ❤❤❤
New subscriber ❤❤❤❤
To improve braking in any bike, any day you can install steel braided lines or can even change whole brake assembly...
Started learning with RX 135 from a cousin. Leaving my comment with history of bikes I bought over time. Hopefully will come back in future to update the list with a bigger bike! Wonderful explanation of a bikers feeling Bulu bhai.
-> 2007 Bajaj Discover 135
-> 2015 RE Bullet Classic 500
-> 2024 RE Himalayan 450
One of best video on internet about big bikes, you touch base all important aspects of owning a bike be it 100cc or 4000cc. That’s why I follow and admire you since very long. Keep making such videos. God bless you good health so that you can own a hayabusa one day. ❤❤
🙏
Loved the phrase Practicality to hoti rahegi dream bike honi chahiye garage me❤❤❤
Yeh bolke Bulu bhai aapne mere doubt k cloud clear kar diye ki big bike leni chahiye ki nahi
😁
Mujhe personally apka video bohot atcha lagta he.. especially Motivation milta he kuch bate. Thank you bulu bhai.
🙏
Really very good monologue! Sochne pe majboor ho gaye, zindagi me hum thik kahan khare hai. 👍
Best wishes bro 🏍️
One of your BEST vlog. Feelings are irreplaceable.
For someone bikes are Fashion, for someone it’s Passion,
If it’s for passion, you will use it, maintain it value it, travel the world, or may be country, make sure you get what you can afford, if you have budget of 10lacs get one that costs 6-7, spend the rest in travelling and maintaining, bikes are meant to be ridden, to enjoy,
TBH: ADVs are rich-men-sport, don’t get into it out of curiosity, a 2 cylinder(NX500 or even Himalayan) can give everything what you need.
Absolutely I have spoken here about dream vs practicality. Himalayan is a very practical bike for India.
Awesome Bulu bhai, awesome project explanation, Suzuki Hayabusa❤
Very well argued bhai. Agree it's also about the 'feel' of riding a bike rather than just practical advantages. I wish to own a Triumph Tiger 900 someday.
What an amazing exposition Bulu bhai ❤ Keep motivating & inspiring us 👍.
I am very close to owing my 1st bike which is also my dream bike KTM ADV 390.
Wait for few months new version of 390 adv will launch!
Bulu bhai aapke vids makes up day...acha lgta hai sunke...please keep this going ❤❤ My dream bike - Hayabusa
Wonderful video delving into the psychography of a passionate biker . Have seen your biking progression and now able to fully understand your passion which seems to grow faster with your age . With best wishes ❤
Thank u so much for the support sir🙏

Owning a bike can't be justified through numbers(maths) as owning experience is purely emotional...that is the reason all are NOT bikers.. and only few who connects can own a bike...
Bhai kya big bikes are there only speed not for feel of twin cylinder or inline 4 and Relaxed riding at steady speeds. Maine toh isikeliye super bike liya hai
Exactly wohi bola hai sir, plz watch full video
Lot of respect for what you said at the end
Nice vlog. This thought is going thru my mind from past 3-4 years and the recent launch of NX500 is re-ignited this. This vlog will help surely for me :)
I usually Don't miss ur blogs. Wish u good luck from Bangladesh. 🇧🇩❤️🇧🇩

Such a nice video. Really loved it. Thanks for talking about the FEEL rather than the SPECS.❤
what a explanation bulu Ji❤. As a student I am get motivated. Thank you
2022 Ducati monster and met with an tragic accident
Honestly I can relate to every single word you've been talking practically on our kinda requirements @bulubiker bhai...
Having ridden about 4l KM's starting from KB100 to liter class
I feel it's time to look at NX500 😝
Bulu Bhai
Jaise aur countries mein Expressway legal bikes hoti h
Waisa India mein bhi ho
CC/Bhp, ke sath proper riding gears ka kuch criteria ke sath allow hona chahiye
Abhi
Yamuna Expressway
Agra Lucknow Expressway
Purvanchal Expressway
UP mein allow hai bikes
Bulu bhai, you have shared a nice insight on different bike segments. Great video
Dude where are you from, I’m not able to find bonneville test ride in Bangalore.
@@muttineni03 from Pune buddy. They have most of the triumph bikes on test ride here
Only people with actual touring experience will understand this. Good analysis. 👍 every bike is great but it's all about what you want.
Totally agree... Feelings matters 😊
Above 500 CC are useless in India.
Bullu Bhai Love You From Gurugram. Pichhe se Puja Ki Aawaj, Ghanti Ki Aawaj Aanand La Diya. Jay Ho Sada Jay Ho
😁
The way u explain is best love your vlogs
When i dont getting sleep i start him video and then sleep 😴
100% he talks a lot without saying much
🤣
Start from normal to bigger bike yehi best hai...thanks a lot Sir Ji
Bulu bhai:
What is the plan when the NX500 tyres comes for a change? If Raise has any plan to launch tyres for NX500?
They have time till we wear off tyres around 10000+ kms
Feeling !!! 🙂 Good one. You are motivating me to buy a big bike. 🙂
Excellent information and motivational video bhai bahut hi acha lga Bhaiya
Very well explaned Bulu Bhai.... would love to ride with you someday :)
First mile i have achieved continental gt 650... Now the dream is DUCATI STREETFIGHTER V4 OR HONDA CBR 1000 RR ❤️❤️🥹 My love my dream ❤️♥️
I never regret subscribing to this channel......
Bulu bhai, coming to Gear N Ride on 17th...5.30pm! looking forward to the meetup!
See u bro
bhai kamal ki words bole apne bahi thats why i love your vlogs❤❤🎉🎉
I felt you when you were talking about feeling.. Its the only feeling for which I still ride a 400 in a city like pune... 😅❤
those lights flickering is bit annoying.
I use my z900 very often for going yo the office and on weekends upto 100km…not so much maintenance cost only regular service charge i hv to pay
Maja aa gaya bulu Bhai... Dil se Thank you ❤️🙏
OD ( Odisha) registration bikes are very common in Bangalore. What u said is true big bikes are not convenient in Bangalore
in older bikes there was no need to change the chain and sprockt till 1L km?? Why now?? Earler there used to be chain cover, why not now?? to increase life of chain sprocket and also chain lub and clean was also not that important after evry 500 ks
Experience talks ❤ wow I just loved it the way you explain
I like the way you expressed feel good factor ❤
I own Classic 500 and a Sm650 but would like to own a HD fatboy one day!Sab kalpanik baatein hai !Pesa hona chahye bas bike kharidne ke liye aur usko chalane ke liye!
Sir; really like your videos ☺️. Surely ekdin aapse zaroor milenge. Specially this kind of videos 😋
Cant say like that, different people enjoy different things. Some enjoy super sports, some enjoy fame of owning the bike etc.
One should buy a bike that is not heavy, not tall for your height and one does not need more than a 400 cc for beginners n intermediate riders. Big bikes will be difficult to manouvre and hence can get tiring
Bulu bhai is close to amith shah and Nithin gadkari. You should be representative of Indian bikers community and request them for allowing bikers in express way.❤
Ha ha bro
Beautiful Content Bulu Bhai, i would love to have Bonnie AfricaTwin, Rocket3 in my collection ❤
Apka jo uncut vdo hotahe to maja ahi jatahe
Sath me apka muskan 😊
This is the best video you have ever made. ❤❤🎉🎉
Bulu Bhai, Lighter is always better. I drove approx 4 lac kms using commuter bikes , 100 cc for 5 years and 125 cc for last 17 years. Its economical , easy to ride in traffic and narrow or bumpy roads with many potholes.
Absolutely true sir, here we r just highlighting how r big bikes different, n if one has the dream n can afford, should got for it for once
Bulu bhai Suzuki v Strom 250 ra review karantu please
Bulu Bhai dream bike 1250 GSA hai lekin pata nahi kab poora hoga. Mean while managing with CB350 RS.
Big machine Big money Big safety
