So, Lets just keep in mind this F-22 is based off of publicly available information about the Raptor and that it does not represent the actual aircraft. Understand if you're going to get this mod that its FOR FUN. That being said we are getting closer and closer to the release of the F-22 Raptor by Grinnelli Designs so I wanted to show you some BVR fighting and how to set the aircraft up. Big thank you to Grinnelli for all his hard work on this mod and thank you for watching don't worry we will announce the F-22 release when its available for everyone to download.
Love ur vids question do indeed flaming Cliff 3 for f22 mod?
Damn. I thought this would be the announcement video.
I asked you a few days ago, if this is the same F22 mod that if you install now cannot be played due to some F15 files being passworded. and if its not the same, where can we download this one? also I cant find any Su35 mod, except skins, do you have a link for the Su35?
@@kdcustoms1272 thanks, how about the Su35 mod?
I'm not sure which version of F-22A you were using for prior engagements, but Grinelli did say he was going to increase the RCS for balance. I recommended 0.01 for average detection around 13.5M, gives it see first, shoot first advantage, but makes it vulnerable after the first loft.
Yup homework can wait, im watching this
same actually

Hasard Lee who is an active USAF F-35 pilot here on YT is looking for some challengers on DCS. Check him out.
Second this, gave you a shoutout in his video where he expressed interest in challenging some ppl on YT.
I third this
Count me in as #4. I wanna see this happen!
5th. Totally interested.

I was hoping they would have R-37s on them, so we could have another "I'm treating this like an AMRAAM so I should be saf-" moments
I just saw that vdo 😂😂😂😂
@@SusyBaKa69 What video is that?

GREAT COMMENT
I doubt the F-22s stealth characteristics is offsetted simply by having a "better radar". Yes, it improves and stealth doesn't mean invisible to radar, but I somehow believe this is way too much of a leap to go from not seeing you at all to now see what ever is in the air. Also, if the radar of the aircraft sees you, it may still be that the missile is unable to track. The radar in missiles are quite small.
they are only able to lock GS at minus 20-ish nm,which is really close in BVR range while GS had them locked all along. so I wouldn't say f-22's stealth is "offsetted" by the better radar. In reality they would be already dead
@@trololoev 🤣 ok, komrade.
@@trololoev in no world will a su-35 detect the -f22 before the f-22 detects the su-35 and I want to reminded to the f-22 was made 22 years ago
@@trololoev you have to be relatively close to use ir signature coming off a plane the point in the f22 is so they nvr get that close I think I don’t really know I just like Eva because it’s fun I’m not a fanboy or anything
Wow, When it switched to the view of the wingman and you see the leader being hit and going down. It felt like one of those stomach drop moments. Just imagining you were that pilot watching your partner on fire hitting the ground. Hearing nothing but a dull boom.
Yo growling I’m still waiting on that f22 vs su57 fighy
Su-57 is broken, I believe its still on a simple flight model
Yeah, at the moment the Su-57 is like playing Ace Combat.
@@killswitch141 maybe it's just real russian bias
didnt he already make a video on that already like 1 year ago?
@@grinnellidesigns thank you for the insight lol can't wait for these two planes to be fined tuned and dog fight
Bravo. The Fact that you play this volley of missles so close and don't freak out, just by your knowledge of what to do, blows my mind. At one point when you watch the first su-35 go down, you can see all three jets in the picture. Thats really close to be playing Tag.
That last R77 probably thought "I got him-no I don't" lols
In reality it will explode near any aircraft because most of missiles have proximity fuses, they do not need to hit aircraft at all...In these scenario R-77M was to close to F22 so she will activated self and shrapnel do the rest...same is with AIM-120...but this is game so this stuff isnt in it...
@@galicije83 yep, that how most A2A missiles work. Which is quite frightening tbh.
About them seeing you on radar, think it's mostly because you had the jammer on
Exactly what i thought. They can HOJ.
The Su-35 has L-band radars along both wings, being able to emit very high bandwidth radar waves. It is unknown how effective it would be at detecting smaller low rcs aircraft however, but theoretically it should be much more effective than a standard nose-wide radar. Don't even know if it's modelled in the dcs mod as well.
DCS jammers seem to reduce lock range to about 50 km, but yeah they can totally HOJ.

I asked you for this exact video earlier today and you did not disappoint, thanks GS!
F22 is unbeatable, period. I'd love to see Su-35 vs Rafale. I think that would be awesome!
Im with the F22 but i think that the SU57 will be a tough brawl between them
Eh it's actually planes that can beat the F-22. But I love me some starscream
Or Su35 vs Grippen
F22 vs f35?
The su-57 has the 2d v shape thrust vectoring that Russian aircraft have used since the SU-30. True 3D thrust vectoring like on the F-15 active and mMig-29ovt are extremely mechanically complex and unlikely to be fielded an warplanes, at least not till fluidic thrust vectoring is a thing. Even then if your not trying to eliminate control surfaces their isn’t much difference between the two.
Hey man, just found your page maybe a week and change ago but your videos are unmatched. That being said, I think it would be awesome to watch you dogfight/run a mission in inclement weather (Convective activity, moderate/severe turbulence and/or icing). Keep up the amazing work!
What’s up GS, great vid, love the tomcats and raptors! Have a great day!
I use to go to gymnasium, and I remember before we went back to online classes, i use to watch your clips before school and between classes.
Thank you! I commented several days ago and asked you for a BVR fight. You got a sub and a like!
Definitely needed the tacview to explain this one!
AWESOME FIGHT!
Been waiting for this battle.

You haven’t even watched the entire thing
Ciao!
Me, and my 10 y.o. son, are watching your amazing videos since last year. Your intense speaking and great skill gives passion to us! Greetings from Italy and thank you very much
CZcams notification has blessed me twice a week!!
Yasss now all that is left is for a Felon v. Raptor BVR to see whose stealth/avionics reign supreme!
So why switch on the radar and let them see what direction to train their radar? Why not maneuver on them based on RWR and use the radar to get the shooting solution once in a favorable position?
To give them a fair fight I guess? I mean growling did say it's nice they can see him, they'll atleast make it a challenge for the f22😜
Actually F22 radar not shown on other RWR aircraft, how thats posibble? Its describe in F22 documentary.. "classified"
@@dedensanusi9305 Pretty well known that APG-77v(1) radars are agile frequency hopping. They can change frequencies at 1000x per second. Hard to identify type radar when pulse rate and frequency isn't static.
@@user-qn3xu5ee3t SU-35 isn't a stealth aircraft, it would be picked up on radar much more easily.
@@user-qn3xu5ee3t Su-35S two-ship would normally do cooperative volume search, GCI, or AWACS-vectored intercept.
In every single one of those scenarios, they have no TGT indicators to vector Su-35s or any other fighter in that direction.
F-22's primary detection system is not the APG-77, it's the ALR-94, totally passive. ALR-94 isn't a typical RWR, but more like the extensive network of various RF sensor arrays on a large, dedicated EW aircraft, fused with the AESA.
That fused network has almost twice the detection range of the radar due to 1/2-1/4 rule.
There are F-15C+ pilots with the world's largest fighter AESA of extreme high quality who say no matter what tricks they have tried, they can't see the F-22A.
So Su-35S with its older generation Irbis-E PESA isn't going to have a chance at seeing the F-22 in RF spectrum until within visual range, which is far, far too late.
Same for IR spectrum with IRST. They spent as much effort reducing IR signature as they did RF on the Raptor, to the point that helmet sights and IR seekers won't acquire it....within visual range.
These are some of the most impressive things about 5th Gen, and why Russia has spent the last 10 years trying to make Su-57 work.
Su-35S would still have trouble with 4.5 Gen fighters like Rafale and Typhoon, due to its RCS.
Love the music at the beginning bro. Use that more often please. Great video as always
Parachute and pistol - all I need to win this.
This looked like a much closer fight than usual. Were the enemies bots? If so, it could be a tough challenge to fight two competent players flying the Su35.
It's fun to mess around with this stuff, but these are both highly classified platforms. How they would do in an actual air-to-air encounter is unknown. The closest data the USAF has, I assume, would be from joint exercises with the IAF and their Su-30MKIs.
@@VisibilityFoggy F-22s would shit on SU-35s easily, there's no denying that. Ruski toys are fancy but lack lots of avionics compared to top dogs of western countries and Raptor sits on top of the food chain. It would be a worthy adversary for things like F-18 and F-15 but against F-22? Not really no. Even then their numbers are too low to be effective.
Is the su35 a mod? And if so can someone help me get it ? I have the non updated f22 but I want this too

Nowadays if you get into a dogfight both pilots made a mistake...
ooor... they both dodged all the missiles
I'm hooked! :( Big thanks!
Damn lucky laser detonator didn't work on that r-77
Mhm, time I let my grades die.
Basically, the range of the missiles could be a game-changer.
From Tacview, the missile at 12:55 did not pull Gs at all (4.7 is basically nothing). It came at you slightly from top and you have perfect side aspect, so I think successful notch is what happened there - just at the right time so it couldn't reacquire
I heard that the only thing that holding the su-35 back from being fifth gen is the stealth technology and some radar system... Damn
damn man...that 77 missed you by like a few feet! What a dodge! Well played as always brother, just trying to play catch up with all the older videos ! :)
I don't understand why you seemed surprised that they could see you when you had your ECM on?
FC3 modules can see the direction of jammers for like 100+ miles easily, they just don't get BRAA/speed until burnthrough.
I have never in my life shown an interest in planes (military or civilian) nor have I ever even run a flight simulator. Yet I still would consider this one of my top 5 (if not 3) channels that I watch. I don't even have a want to really get into DCS or any flight sim in general. IDK man, whatever it is keep doing it...🇺🇸
What's the name of the soundtrack you had in the beginning there, the ticking and bass sound that is?
The name of the soundtrack is Sons of Pythagoras - Counting The Cost
Finally a BVR engagement, between my lovely Su-35E and the stealth formidable F-22
Loved it bro. Awesome.
I'm curious to know as to the new F-22 updated mod, How is it in comparison to the F-22 mod that you used against the SU-57 about a year ago when it was using the f-15 flight module, is there a noticeable difference with the updated version?
7:47 that was insane😱😱😱😍
Damn that last missile flew through your tail feathers
which is kinda' weird...it definitely should be capable of outmaneuvering the plane at this range and being belly flat gives it a nice big RCS to track
That maneuvering through 🙂👍
Ik I’m not the only American who would want to fly Russian jets
Other than the F-22, the Flanker has to be the most fun jet to fly in the world. F-16 would probably come in third, although if I had to pick a third to fly personally I'd want to experience a delta wing design... maybe an M2000.
Love the flanker family
Nope lol. I'd fly the Mig 35 and 29. Su-22 and 33
@@VisibilityFoggy my first would be the su35s, then the gripen, then refale. The feeling of freedom

Wow, you looked that last R-77 right in the face.
You'd have to buy at the O Club after dodging that one...Change callsign: Lucky.
Just a quick question Hitman, did you have to change shorts? That looked to be close enough to proximity detonate on the last incoming archer
I change my underwear after every round.
Gotta do some BFR with the F18 now that ECM is implemented!
Very cool!
You could probably make a reasonable estimate on the SU-35s preformance with the SU-27 flight model if you new things like weight, thrust from the new engines, etc.
Just wondering can you perform the cobra movement in this game ? Like is there thrust vectoring or no?

you are sooo good love what your doing!!! (can you do a 1vs1vs1vs1?)
I really love your content!
When they first got returns @4:00, you opened weapon doors, probably increased your radar cross-section as well. (In addition to HoJ)
ya but they already had the lock burned thru my ECM
air-to-air missiles do not intercept the target body-to-body rocket it explodes on approaching the target
I think you did notch that last missile. You hit nearly 90 degrees less than a second before it would have hit and deployed CMs, and its trajectory didn’t appear to be that curved. The R-77s are much more vulnerable to notching-even if the base missile is an improvement on the R-77. But it’s definitely possible that you out turned it since you were at 8.5 G.
I also noticed that the modded R-77s only seemed about 15-20% better than the ones in DCS. Honestly, I feel like they barely qualify as BVR. Seeing you against some J-11b’s with the SD-10 would be very interesting.
How did he get the correct track files for recording the rockets? My track files are always bugged
do more su 35 stuff
i like to see that jet face other than f 22✌️
Holy Matrix that was awesome 😎
do you find that playing this mod makes other planes hard to go back to? like swinging three bats all of a sudden.

How much of an effect does the denser air have on a missile?
Its all down to the missiles dats what i learnt from the video!!
I think the thing is, the Su-35 has a data-link, that can spot stealth aircraft if they have 2 planes.. its complicated tho so im not sure about that
Those Flankers look like missile trucks.

that R77 dodge was insane. 7:47
Awww sh@+!! The intro music means its about to go down.
Thumbs up for the Sicario day of the soldato music
I get that the F22s are expensive, no more real support, few in number, and only something like 130 in service. I just can't believe they're retiring them in 2030. Feels like the F14 all over again. There was proposals to keep the F14 flying and future proof and there's been similar offers for the F22 with even new and cheaper planes for the next series. There's already Super Raptors and Raptors as test mules for the NGAD. The air force is just insistent on only having four airframes. I believe F16, F15ex, F35, and NGAD. There is a role for the F22 in there as a pure fighter. Personally it's gonna suck because I built pieces for them but I just honestly think it's one of the most beautiful aircraft to ever fly.
You have to do a 1 v 5 go for the Ace.🐍
Questions...
1) Why you call them Fox-2 and Fox-3? What are the differences?
2) Any suggestions with regards to engagements and attack and evasive maneuvers?
3) Any suggestions on why the missile didn't have a proximity sensor or why it wouldn't detect the acft?
4) Any references about A2A missile performance? The explanation was super cool, but would like additional background.
Thx Y'all.
All good questions and id like to know the answers as well.
I think Fox 1= Guns, Fox 2 = short range missile, Fox 3 = long range missile?
Nice

OMG😮
Will the link to the new F-22A mod be linked in a description when it is completed and ready for public release?
Yes it will be very very clear no worries brother
Just wondering whether it was their EOTS that picked you up and not the radar. Although, if they're using the N035 radar (Irbis-E), it apparently has a head on detection range against a 0.01sqm target of 90km. But, I'd like to see that in IRL because it's one thing to quote a nominal capability and another to have that translated to a real world situation. If they caught you from that far out, you'd have gotten a RWR ping much earlier.
I'm wondering why the proximity fuze on the R77M missile failed like it did. A pass that close should have triggered it.
IIRC GS mentioned it before in another video. Proximity fuses don't seem to work or are not enabled in online games - probably due to time delay.
