- I eat and review Gotham in Greenwich Village of New York City. The restaurant has been around for decades and was originally called Gotham Bar and Grill before it closed and reopened with new owners. Gotham serves new American cuisine that is very highly regarded. The establishment even held on to a Michelin Star for years. I dine at Gotham during Restaurant Week.

i ate there back in 2001 and remember the flourless chocolate cake being one of the best I have ever had :)

Dined at Gotham Bar and Grill back in August 2016. Would love to dine at the new Gotham whenever I return to NYC.

The presentation of all dishes look amazing! The chicken dish is truly a work of art. You can never go wrong with cake and ice cream after a good meal. Great review and keep up the good work!

I've been having some stomach issues lately too, glad you're feeling better and are out and about. This place looks outstanding. I need to visit this place someday and try that Salmon plate.
Thank you! Yeah stomach issues can be a real bummer. For me, when I'm having a rough day food has always been something to lift my spirits, but when you're sick, it's a whole other story.
Yeah, this restaurant is a must try! Everything was so good and plated so perfectly.
LOL! Food poisoning "4 TIMES"! OMG, I had it once from some bad oysters and I just wanted to die, went to the hospital even... I can't imagine ever having it again. But it doesn't stop me from eating ANYTHING, including oysters.
Yeah, food poisoning can be pretty intense. One of the times I got it, I don't think that I've ever felt so miserable.

Those dishes looked amazing and I wish they were 20% larger! Definitely want to visit there! FOOD poisoning sucks, I had it right before the Disney Marathon and dinner at Victoria and Albert's.
Yeah, I definitely wish the food was larger, especially since it was so good! But it was a great lunch. Food poisoning is horrible! I usually eat food to feel better both mentally and physically and to not have any appetite for a couple of days wasn't fun. Ugh, that sucks. At least you didn't find out about having food poising during the race. That actually happened to me the last time I had food poisoning. It was during a half marathon and it was one of the most physically uncomfortable experiences of my life.
@James Andrews during the race, ugh. I left NY and thought I should finish that costco chili the night before the flight. Landed and was like hmm somethings not right. But we had reservations and between each course, I was back to the restroom. Well it cleared up just in time for the race. But definitely was dehydrated. A Rough 26.2 miles through the parks
@@NoahEats Ugh! I know what you mean. Even after my food poisoning cleared up I still felt weak for a couple of days, but at least you got through it!
lmao @ bathroom review!!! re food poisoning...activated charcoal is good to have on hand for such issues👍 the space is so lovely ... the starter seemed lovely and the main, stunning just to behold. the desert looked like a solid end to your lunch. great review as always
Thank you! And thanks for the tip regarding activated charcoal! Usually, my stomach is pretty tough, but it's not perfect. Haha! Yes, it was a great lunch and the perfect way to celebrate my recovery from food poisoning!

Ugh! I'm sorry to hear that. Everything is just so expensive. That's one of the reasons why I went to this restaurant during Restaurant Week. Normally, I'd definitely be paying more for this lunch.

I'm curious, do you need to get permission to film inside the restaurants or has any restaurant ever told you to stop filming?.....and the food there is amazingly beautiful!
Indeed! The food was gorgeous! No, I've never been told not to film, but I'm always conscious of other diners. That's why I mostly do voice-overs so I don't disturb anyone sitting near me. I try to be as subtle as possible.
Had food poisoning three times. The first time was the worst experience of my life (bad sausage). Wanted to kill myself. Haven’t touched sausage since.

Tear each piece of bread off only before you butter and eat it.. don't bite into a whole slice.. Bite size pieces with butter on just the small piece.... just saying lol..
