  • I eat at and review Union Square Cafe in New York City. The iconic restaurant was founded by restauranteur Danny Meyer who went on to create the Union Square Hospitality Group and Shake Shack. Union Square Cafe serves contemporary new American cuisine. I also feel that the restaurant offers a great Restaurant Week deal.

    The food looked great, but the friendly little squirrel at the beginning of the video was a delight to see too!

      Thank you! I'm glad to hear that you're feel better. I actually had food poising just the other week and it was terrible not wanting to eat any food when it typically makes me so happy. Yeah, that beef was really good!

    Another great video!
    The food looked amazing especially the beef a “perfect dish”. The dessert also looked good.

    Danny Meyer has done wonderful things. The USHG has changed restaurants in Manhattan, for the better. Truly some of the best in the city! Another great review sir!

      Thank you! Indeed, I've never had a bad meal or experience at any of Danny Meyer's restaurants. He really created a top notch restaurant group.

    In my personal experiences, I’ve often felt if the food didn’t meet my expectations, that my menu choices weren’t as considered as they should have been. Clearly, you have those kinds of decisions down to a science.

    One of the best consistent restaurants in NY. Danny Meyer is one of the best Restaurateurs around.

    They used to have a couple of items on their menu that seem to have disappeared...their Black Bean Soup (with a shot of sherry added for a few bucks more. And their famous big fat Tuna Burger on a Brioche Bun with a spicy cabbage slaw. Ah, the memories...

    Nice review. I've never been there, but I'm sure it's very good. Glad you got the founding date right... a lot of people seem to think it's been there much longer. I have been to Blue Smoke. Very good, but expensive. I also recommend Hill Country BBQ on West 26th St.
    Where you were sitting in Stuyvesant Square Park is about 2 blocks from 4 different hospitals.
    I think I've been in every one of them at one time or another (mostly visiting).

    • @Jamesnu

      Thank you! Yeah, I've been meaning to check out Hill Country BBQ. I've visited the one in DC before and really enjoyed it. Yep, I quickly realized that there were a lot of hospitals in the area. There were a number of times I had to refilm some of the things I said because of ambulance noise, but other than that, I do like Stuyvesant Square Park.

    How much did it cost? no price? looks expensive, I would assume the steak is $20, times new york price is probably $100

    • @Jamesnu
      @Jamesnu  Před rokem

      Haha! Yeah, it's normally a bit expensive costing $38, but because it was Restaurant Week, I got the steak and the appetizer together for $45, a much better deal.
