Cant believe he altered time and reversed the decomposition process for us. That level of commitment is insane.
Because he had the power of god and anime on his side

Have you ever considered getting a vacuum seal container to see how food decomposes differently in it?
It would dry up almost immediately, and microbes would only be able to survive deep inside likely.

Always find it so interesting how things change form when rotting. Like it went from a ball of watermelon to a sad pancake. Keep up the good work!
Didn't change form. Just collapsed
Itâs also surprising how much the taste changes through the process.
@@float32 you eat 17 day old mouldy watermelon??
@Luis C So therefore it changed form.

Hope you wear respiratory protection because the amount of mold spores you encounter can't be good for your lungs. Thanks for your sacrifice. The videos are definitely worth it â€
If he doesn't wear a mask, oml this one was so dusty.

Interesting how the mold colonized so thoroughly it formed a mono-culture that excluded other decay (that we could see).
I'd like to see another watermelon timelapse to see if some other species can establish a foothold.
Use another location because you may never be rid of the mold spores from this one!
To quote a friend of mine. "That's some dry reaching shit" we had a watermelon dissolve on the kitchen bench once, never since has a melon been on left unattended.
Once a watermelon exploded in my parents basement. Funny thing is, it happened only 2-3 days after they bought it. In my other time lapse video the watermelon I used started to leak at day 473. Now all this makes me think, how long do watermelons actually last? Pretty wide time frame, 2 days - 473 days :D
@@PhotoOwl great question. Ours was only a day or two also. Purchase on weekend, get home on a Monday after work, battle stations. đ€ą

How do you cut the watermelons so cleanly? It looks so amazing! I'd love to try that when I get me some watermelon next time â„ïž
It's not easy, you have to pay close attention when you peel it. And mind you, the whole area will be soaked in watermelon juice. It's a mess
The key is to make the cut as close to the pink as you can around the melon. Use your finger as a depth stop with a razor blade as you cut. If you did it right, give it a good twist and the ends should come off clean like an avocado. It's easier to do this with smaller watermelons.
@@alant779 all right thanks will try it
They didn't use a razorblade, I can tell you that much, LOL.
How this video was made. Two watermelons.
One big, one smaller.
They cut the big watermelon with a knife, as a chef does to remove all of the rind. Set this aside. (Check-out Mark Rober's guide "How to Skin a Watermelon").
They cut the smaller watermelon with a knife into two halves and carved out the insides with a spoon to remove all the red/pink.
Then voila, put the previously cut and rounded watermelon into the smaller two halves of watermelon rind.
Pretend like you cut it with a razorblade.
