So many people really need to hear this. So many people think they're owed something when they're not. Everything I have I've worked for. I'm teaching my children the same things. They've helped me to do some stuff recently and earned some money from it. I've let them decide how they spend it. My 13 year old son is saving his up towards buying fishing gear. He's keeping a record of what I owe him until he's got enough. My daughter has had hers and spent it. I'm hoping she learns from her brother when she sees he has something from it.

Whatever it takes!! I'm a truck driver + farmer and for the past 5yrs I was living the same life as my Dad, and Grandpa. Working 70hrs in a semi a week race home, spend Hopefully 3-4hrs in bed, jump up and into my farm clothes, get into the fields and work until 30min before jumping back in my pickup and racing across town to jump back into my semi to work all night driving semi and repeat and repeat. Mind you I have a beautiful wife of 19yrs and 4children....the best thing that happened to me is 3days before Thanksgiving I got fired from my job....I was devastated and I truly didnt know what to do....I made a phone call to a company 1600miles and demanded to talk to whoever was in charge. The district manager gave me a very brief phone interview but basically said I need to see some commitment before I can hire you, I can't hire someone without meeting them and shaking their hand. I prayed and took a huge leap of faith! I packed my daughters spare single mattress into my wifes town and country van, and a couple of bags of work clothes. I told my wife I'm leaving and going to get that job. She asked but what if he doesn't hire you? I told her he has to hire me, I'm very skilled at what I do, and my resume as well as knowledge proves it, but if he dosent hite me I'll go to every company in that town and ill get a job! I drove 2days and called the manager asking when he could meet with me. I told him I was right down the road. He had me come in that morning for a interview, and he wanted to know when I could fly back in town and start once my background check was clear. I told him I'm not leaving town, and that I'm staying in my car, I brought all my work gear, I needed nothing but a truck. He was so blown away he pushed my background check through corporate and 3days later I was working! 4months later I'm still living in my van, but by doing this I've nearly doubled my income, and I'm nearly out of "bad" debt. I've made myself the most productive oil hauler in my area at this company! I also got back in the gym....I literally wake up 3am hit the gym and out of there by 445am showered and at work by 5am. Start time is 6am. I've already got my 1st load on by the time most of them get to work. I cant even tell the guys I work with I live in my car because most people freak out and feel bad for me! I dont want anyones pitty or anything that I havent earned in this life! This is my choice, and my sacrifice to get the funds to reinvest in myself! I found this channel last Friday and I've been listening to Grant all weekend in my headphones while I work! Today is my one day off and I'm trying to setup a drop shipping Ebay type of store! My point is this....quit making excuses and start living and fighting for the future you want! God bless all of you and God bless you Grant!

Biggest lesson I learned 26 years ago when I got hooked on personal development and motivation, the problem wasn't anyone else, nothing out there, it was an inside, I was the problem. The exciting thing is I'm the one I have control over. When I changed, things began to change for me. I was successful as a 35 year veteran police officer, I was successful as a comedian, producing my own shows at the Hollywood Palladium, Roxy on Sunset, I have three shows on Amazon. two years ago I read your book ,,Be obsessed or be average,, On that time I hated my job , ..well they cut my payment because I failed, I did stupid things and changed my position, but after I was halfway through I started to think different. I set my mind from negative to positive and everything started to change...everything !! And after I was finished everything went from bad to good, even in hard times ! I failed many times during my process but came out of it cause I worked hard and enjoyed every single moment of my life. I became two raises and an another just recently , I am meeting good and successful people and a lot more.

My mate left me, finances are not good, my teenage kids not doing so well, futre looks and feels uncertain and feeling lonely. I´m glad I still got a job that pays well. Can you build your own website about what you do and about yourself and use your SEO skills on it then use that to show how good you are to those you're trying to sell your skills to. Never give up. Beautiful and precise advise. But I have to disagree in one thing you mentioned. You said do what you are good at, then tell everyone to not write a book because that won't do anything. Never contradict yourself in your advaises, there's is very few people with a amazing writing skills and creativity in become a serious author, just like the creator of Harry Potter. So never underestimate people that can write. Or do anything.
