Hatch. Big Fan. Been watching Survivor since day 1. Im with you on these twists in the game. It's not Survivor. I miss the excitement of decision making without all the gimmicks.
When you said “Why didn’t they try to vote out Xander?” after the fake idol move, you forgot Xander was apart of the half tribe that was immune after Erika’s hourglass decision. That’s why they didn’t try to vote for him.
Hatch really understands what made the original game so amazing and popular. A few of the OG players and many fans do too. "Survivor", since its inception in 2000, has been an amazing ride like none other. However, it seems like we are getting away from what made "Survivor" a phenomenon. The game "Survivor" is all about the mental challenges. The physical challenges are secondary to the real point of the game. I'm looking forward to the season called "Survivor: Back to the Basics". Will it be S45? S50?. Time will tell. There's always hope right?
Nope, it’s a nee era of survivor. The producer have moved on and are trying to target a you get audience and bring in a new generation of survivor fans. Sorry bud, your time is over.
@@sarahcampassi And they're losing views by the millions for their pandering to a narrative that only reflects a portion of the viewerbase instead of all of them. Couldn't disagree more. The woke era is over. The Johnny Depp trial legit helped change that outdated narrative overnight in terms of gender dynamics. Combine that with the extremely negative response to 41 and 42 regarding racial dynamics (there would be hell if there was an all white tribe because of their race, it's bigoted) being abused then it's going to have to eventually include non far-left perspectives again (Like Rudy) and show them combine with people like Rich, which is why I want to see it. If they don't get more right-winged contestants again, then I'm done watching (And I'm in the middle). The chances of Richard getting back on the show have never been higher after this. I want to see a season with him and Rupert together. Either everyone is segregating again or we're actually going to start making progress together. 43 cannot be allowed to become another step backwards. I disagree with Rich that the qualities they base their alliances on don't matter - it very much does matter and the stats align with that. White and black tribes will be taboo indefinitely.
Hey Rich! im just now finishing Borneo for my first full uninterrupted watch. my dad was a megafan of survivor as soon as he heard the concept and your season played on repeat when i was just 3 years old. my dad stuck with the show until his passing in 2009, My mom kept watching but it always just made me sad to even think about. But like i said i just recently got into fully watching it and i have to say it just makes me happy. every episode im curious where the challenges took place exactly on the islands, the sand spit, snake island etc. and it all just reminds me so much of my dad, in a much happier way, and you remind me of him alot too so i think you for being there then and now to help me remember and be happy about it. really really would love to see you ever back on the show sometime soon as i know you are still more than able to compete but with all the BS behind the scenes on multiple fronts i know it may be hard to acquire. i support you in any venture regardless.
the worst part about the "come on in guys" bit was how obviously staged it all was while trying to seem organic. The producers made that decision on their own but wanted to throw a bone to this democratic idea of social justice. But it was 100% a charade.
Missed you Rich! Hoping you are doing well. So much love to you and yours. Listening to you has been a very pleasant comfort to me. I have a Mother with stage 4 cancer and it's been very hard. Watching your content makes life seem less terrifying. I've always loved Survivor. I was 15 when it first aired and I've grown up believing you are a very good hearted soul and Survivor should of made you a mentor for contents or somone who ran interviews on reunions. 😍🥰😘 Jeff screwed so many of you over, especially you... So I don't believe you are out of line with your opinions and views.
I think it hurts the show for the audience to feel little to no connection to the contestants. The more modern seasons tend to give us 3-4 characters to know and that they are all that matter. I remember survivor africa, and feeling like EVERY constant except maybe 2 mattered and that I knew them. This makes the show better in my opinion because I don’t watch the show to see who can get screwed over by an advantage, I love the human element and the human connection in the raw moral decisions of humanity and how beautiful and dark and complex our human nature can be
Another thing is the opening theme. In the old seasons you would be reminded each week of every player, so you better remembered the people voted out. In the more recent seasons that I've watched, I would know the names of probably less than half of the players.
Richard.....I have started the Survivor series for the 3rd time now. I am coming back now to your channel after 3 years ago. But I am seeing your mind EVEN more now. I feel exactly how you feel. They are catering to emotions at the start of the game. Wanting to give in to the liberal view of the current day. Someone feels uncomfortable and now they have to change up the whole show. I'm currently in season 13, where they separated tribes by their ethnicities. And it is ONE of the best seasons since Cirie and Marquesas. I'm white. But Ozzy, Yul, Parvati, Cao Boi, Jonathan, etc. They're all my favorites. I don't even remember who wins, but they are all amazing. I don't see color, but society wants to portray that we see nothing but color. A normal person won't care what tribe wins....someone who sees black, white, Asian, will hope for one tribe to win. I look at the players. Survivor started turning towards what people want about 5-8 seasons ago. Cochran was my last really proud WIN. Now it's all about exactly what you're saying. It used to be a social experiment, now it's what the people want just to stay on TV. The season you're talking about, when African Americans decided to team up....I wondered how people would react if Caucasian people teamed up and said, "we are going to show our race and win"..... people would lose their fucking minds. I don't know if I will even continue to watch anymore. It's just pandering to society. Survivor has always been a social experiment, and there have been favorites of every race, gender and sexual orientation. It's disgusting.
Great insight Hatch! Probst/CBS would never allow another player like Rudy call another player “queer” and say they would never associate with them because of it outside of the game (as happened in Season 1).
Just found your channel. Many interesting monologues. thank you. One red thread through almost all the videos I watched is how much you despite Jeff Probst. Even in a memorial video about your friend Rudy .. you find a way to make it about how bad of a guy Jeff Probst is. I am looking forward to the video where you put all the cards on the table and tell us where this bitterness in his regards comes from ❤️💜
xander the type of player that is a fan fav that everyone is rooting for. but will be voted out at 4. just missing final tribal by one. we've seen it time and time again.
Well said, Richard Hatch! I liked your 51 minutes so much that I've subscribed to your channel and set the notification bell ON. You are spot on in respects to some of the asinine "twists". Yup, the "Come on in, guys" left turn was faux woke-speak. It infuriated me because it was CBS getting preachy, and the example they used was just pathetic. Richard, I liked the Exile Island thing with Erika! It was cool only because she was able to screw the people who screwed her! I LOVED IT! And I liked those self-satisfied people get egg in their face and served up by little old bottom-feeder Erika! That said, you made a good point in being against it. Nice to see you, Richard! I've always said, YOU were the genius that got Survivor rolling. Alliances! You know, in real honest to God life, if 20 ppl were the sole survivors from a plane crash (LOST), you'd really need an alliance to save yourself from getting your literal throat cut while you sleep over something like who gets the coconuts! Please come back every week! I'll be watching for you! ♥️
I didn’t like the dramatics of the hourglass gimmick, I actually fast forwarded through it but watching the people who voted her onto the island get shafted, I did enjoyed watching her get revenge. They made a stupid selfish non strategic game move by sending her there. They should have sent their ally. So it was nice to see it backfire. This seasons is clearly meant for the true survivor fans. I realized when Xander was looking for the advantage on the bench that this was the case. I couldn’t figure out why he was looking so hard since he hadn’t gotten a clue for it and then I realized, he knows to look because it’s survivor. A true survivor fan wouldn’t have sent their enemy to a place where there would clearly be an advantage, especially not when they have a close ally standing right next to her. If they had sent their ally no way he would have turned back time.
The hourglass twist was designed in a way that no matter who gets sent they will smash the hourglass. When a player gets sent to exile with the choice between immunity or no immunity they will always smash the hourglass, Naseer would’ve done the exact same thing
@@badassfroslass I disagree. I think he knew he was safe because he was in the alliance that won the challenge. Sure he would be safe if he smashed it but his allies would all be in trouble. He would have put his long term game at risk saving himself in that situation. Not only would he possibly lose a voting number but he would have pissed off his whole alliance.
@@farrellanna No sane player would ever take the hourglass and not smash it, if Naseer went to exile he could’ve also felt burned since they picked Erica over him, none of the players blamed Erica for smashing it because they all knew they would have too. When you have to choose between a 1/6 chance of being voted out or a 0/6 chance you take the 0% chance
@@badassfroslass again, I disagree. A lot of sane and savvy players have given up safety and rewards in order to further their alliances with others, to prove they trust their alliance. There have also been some who give up safety in an ignorant way but even in the season I’m watching right now (David vs Goliath) there are a few examples of people giving up safety for food or advantages or for other players. In this situation it would have benefitted Nassir’s game to go to the island not to use the advantage. It would have also kept it out of an enemies hand. If Nassir had been butt hurt about not being included in food over getting the opportunity to get an advantage (or even keep an advantage from a non ally) then I wouldn’t consider him a very good player. The goal isn’t to win rewards it’s to win the final paycheck.
Danny, as a former NFL player, should be getting a much better edit had he won. This season is hard to predict. Many said this might be a "coronation" edit and I've even compared Shan to you, Hatch. However, she's becoming a panic bomb and others are detecting. Had she said to the likes of Deshawn and Ricard "hey, okay, let me hear your thoughts on the numbers" she might not be on the radar.
Positionally he is the frontrunner but with no airtime at all he doesn’t really have a short, to me I feel like he’s gotta go out to some BS twist thing you can’t prepare for. There’s no way somebody with that positional mastery makes it to the end with no airtime.
@@GreenBayPayton to be honest, I remember low quality entertaining seasons, but this season is the lowest one, or at least lowest 10,, maybe I'm missing something, but this season frustrates me more than any,,, I hope the next episodes will entertain me like the survivor show that I know.
I think the editing in 41 is horrendous (almost no camp life, 40min of advantage talk...), but my least favourite season was Millenials vs Gen X. Aside from 2 of them, every one of the Millenials were just stereotypical high schoolers.
@@Nersius My least favorite is redemption island. It was very predictable post merge and it just felt like a season tailored for Boston Rob to win given how brain dead Ometepe was when it came to the game that season.
Yes, Xander rocks! I could see him and Ricard in the F3. And I would not bet on who'd be most convincing to the jury. If Shan was in F3 with those two, she'd for sure lose. She'd bury herself.
I remember watching you play with a venomous snake on a beach and thinking wow thats raw. Then they go and shorten the game to 28 days and you don't see anyone going out and fishing and thriving anymore, it seems like they all just sit around and starve.
Hey Richard. Will you be making a video breaking down the ending of season 41? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Also you got to love the throwback to season 1 with the reading of the votes on the island
Hi Richard. First and upfront, I do not watch Survivor. I have never watched the show. Not really a fan of it honestly. I only really know your name and face from what I read in the news or the media , that's about it. But I recently discovered your CZcams channel, was intrigued and at this point, have watched every single one of your videos. And I must say, I am grateful to have done that. You are an intelligent, thought-provoking and wise individual who I feel has an interesting and insightful take on life as we know it. I admire your perspective on notable topics in the news today and highly appreciate your opinion that it is important to be REAL and that the truth is always better when it is said out loud and reflected upon, as opposed to focusing on what either "looks good", "sounds good" and letting most mass media blind us with their expectations of what they think what is real, and the truth. I seriously hope someday in the future, you consider hosting your own podcast. I think it would be worth everyone's time and attention to be enlightened by many of the thoughts you wish to share, because you obviously have something to say. And people should listen based on what I have heard and seen from these videos. It is refreshing to get such a REAL perspective from a REAL person.. I hope this inspires you to keep making videos, possibly think about that podcast idea, and pursue that dream of yours to teach more people about what is real and the truth and how it can have a positive effect on you. Hope you find this comment to your liking and hope to hear from more of you soon. Best of luck to you on your future endeavors. And by the way, 59 looks good on you dude. ;-)
I don't have as much nostalgia as other Survivor fans; thus, I'm indifferent to many of the changes Survivor 41 has made, apart from "guys" being omitted and the lack of season names.
It drove me batty enough to stop watching ep1 after 20 mins. First season I stopped watching. I will pick up next season with the hopes they go back to the old format. (Season 40 & before) I can't with the twists and unlimited idols thrown at the feet of these survivors.
I totally agree about the distractions - they're a detriment to the core of the game, which is about the players' interactions. Some twists are okay, but only when the players all know about them and therefore can incorporate them into their game play. Thanks for all your insights, love your channel! (Also love your tattoos!)
I thought the beware idols were a cool change. Getting an idol later but not being able to vote for a time definitely makes the game more interesting. However I think it's a twist they can only use once. Once newer players come into a new season they'll already know it's coming.
Just watched the second episode of Survivor All Stars. You already kicked ass in season 1. You get bit by a shark.. Bite that animal right back. While keeping calm, using common since, and swim back slowly and calmly to shore. This is why you won survivor . Because your a damn warrior.👏 be like Richard Hatch! -Future Survivor Contestant
I really think that the only advantage in the game (besides finding an idol) should be a food advantage. "pick one item off the menu whenever you want, and use it however you want" survivor is turning into a casino. It's more "luck-based" now.
The Erikha decision bothers me the most because it also saved herself. Without that factor the decision may have been more impactful getting to see who she trusts to save her if she saves them
They really made a stunt out of getting rid of the word "guys". im alright with it but they should have just done it without asking. This is a dangerous road to censoring and controlling people.. next will be things players say or do that they could have done previously as part of the game. The more constraints the more censorship, the less authentic.. side note, kinda funny how the most inclusive season has a "black alliance" or players saying they're coming in to only play with 1 race. thats.... racist but the intriguing part if the show as Richard mentioned 13:50
Richard, I absolutely agree with you about Shan. She's digging her own grave. You know what they say, when you're in the ditch up to your waist, STOP DIGGING. I don't think she's capable of shutting the hell up. She's aggravating people all over, and it's even making the edit. DeShawn had the balls to tell her to BACK UP. He called a spade a spade. He pinpointed exactly what he didn't like, he told her to back off and quit treating him like a child. But here's the thing, Richard: SHAN IS A CHILD in a grown woman's body. She whines. She nags. She pesters. Like in the pre-school play yard. She even told the cameraman that her coaxing coercive behavior is exactly how she handles her "flock" until they do things HER WAY. That ain't gonna cut it all the way to F3. She set to self-implode any day now.
Now that rich hasn’t uploaded during the second half of 41 and none of 42, it’s safe to assume this CZcams channel was just in protest of not being in season 40
Agree with most everything you said. Two points: 1) I do not take social direction from anyone ever that has been on Survivor, including Probst. Survivor is not the social powerhouse Probst obviously thinks it is, 2) Probst needs to stop talking to the camera. It adds nothing. He is either stating the obvious or ruining the surprise aspect of the show. Probst is not the star, or even one of the stars. Probst is a facilitator. You are still the best player of the game so far. Keep up the commentary.
Hatch: An alliance based on race could reduce dynamic gameplay since the members may not seek and execute their optimal moves for their individual games Big Brother fans: "first time?"
It puts people in an awkward situation where it can make them fearful to play for themselves within the alliance and also it’s hard to really try to take down an alliance as somebody outside it because it’s seen as a greater good. Look at Claire in BB23, she understood the goal and understood how important it was but what was she supposed to do? She can’t exactly say ‘hey guys let’s target all the black people’ it’s sort of an awkward thin ice situation players are put into regardless of where they fall in the dynamic
Literally hit the nail on the head with what was wrong with big brother 23. The cookout members sacrificed their own individual games for other allies, and resulted in another boring, predictable season.
I loved Evvie, too. I'd love to have her as a friend outside the game. Inside the game, I think her M.O. could be described as "coasting". That's never successful for very long. She wasn't undercover enough to be a Sandra.
It's like you read my mind! A twist shouldn't be something you have no ability to work with or adapt to. A random buff out of a bag for a tribe swap might suck but at least you have an opportunity to make it work. The hourglass bs was just WRONG. I've been saying it for a few years. Survivor doesn't need all of this extra crap, but it loses more and more of what it does need. People are fascinating enough on their own, but we get less of the people and more of the set dressing. I don't know the players and so why would I care who stays, who goes, or who wins?
Speaking of Xander's fake idol and his preparing for an opportunity to play it... "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity." - Lucius Annaeus Seneca
Richard, who do you still speak to from your season (if anyone). Who was the last person you contacted? I'm so sad that Colleen shied away from the public eye. I found her so fascinating.
Hatch big fan been watching since day one I have a question did she actually get arrested for not paying taxes on your win and if I may ask if that was true how long did you get
There is a very certain type of Survivor viewer who loves the show so much that they will watch Hatch's videos. There is also a certain type of Survivor fan who hates the overuse of unfair twists that ruin the integrity and spirit of the game. The overlap between the two groups is nearly 100%.
I agree Jeff is far too involved in 'mis-directing' the flow of the game and am fast losing interest. (If I couldn't fast-forward through most of each episode I'd have stopped watching altogether) RE: Idols/advantages. Yep, there are too many, there's too much variety and yes, even too convoluted to keep track of outside the game, let alone those inside it. The idea of players from three separate teams having to find an advantage and say some stupid phrase, hoping the other two will have found theirs before it is valid... that is so whacky! Last thing about idols/advantages... it seems this season more than any other, the moment a player gets an advantage or idol they simply can't wait to tell allies, thus giving up whatever advantage it could be... because as we can see, those 'allies' can't wait to spread the 'news'. (Although I do agree Xander played perfectly once it was known what he had) Shan... what can I say? It's all about what she thinks and wants, the others be damned. And when DeShawn (sp?) gives her a clue of how she is perceived, her lame apology lasted barely a few minutes. I sure as heck wouldn't wish on anyone to be in her cult (whoops) congregation... Seems to me it would be a flat out cult with Shan as the 'god almighty'. Talk about a God-complex. Jeff... the show hasn't 'jumped the shark', the shark has eaten the core of it.
A good twist is told to you before it happens. If you're told "hey, you're immunity doesn't matter" after you win it or "hey, guess what, we're voting again" or "hey, whoever gets the least votes is eliminated lol" at tribal, no one likes that. No one finds it funny. It's extremely frustrating for both the players and the viewers. There's this show I'm not sure if you've heard of it but it's called Sequester. Their entire thing is having a twist every round. And yet, every one of their twists is told before it happens and they all end up actually being good because of it. And I think that's the right way to do a twist.
Yah I will say that having so many twists and those flashback backstories (which I could care less about and always fast forwarded) was half of the reason I dropped S41 (the other half being that I didn't really like the cast).
Where is the final reflection was looking forward to hearing what you had to think....my opinion Zander got hosed.... she literally was still there because of a twist that had nothing to do with game play she was handed a decision she didn't earn... just my thoughts
Hi Bobby: I loved Xander’s game. From what we saw, I would have voted for him to win were I a juror. But Erika “deserved” to win because the jury voted her the winner! Now, though, whether Erika would be in the game if not for one of several inane “twists” undermining the core of the game that has always been Survivor… THAT is a whole, separate issue. I think Probst’s influence as Executive Producer, his ego, and his lack of understanding the game and to what viewers/fans are drawn is horribly sad. Probst’s failures are disappointing and, I’m convinced, the genesis of your and so many viewers’ dissatisfaction.
I don't like some of the "novelty" aspects this season. Take the idol phrases for instance - can they be replicated in future seasons? Future players would now know what peculiar statements indicate and who would want that much of a target on them??. I do however, enjoy the viewer puzzle each week
I think most of the players have lacked adaptability in their game this season. They're trying so hard to control everything and have come across as so stubborn. Credit to Shan for giving into a couple of the group's plans, those things go a long way to your success in the game in my opinion. Thinking you can control everything from day 1 to the finish is crazy. Things won't go to plan and you have to adapt and move through the game and find a new way to win. The strategy will naturally change day to day, you have to move with it.
We’ve seen time and time again the adaptable people are the majority of the winners. Even within a strong alliance that never breaks, adapting and getting out of the way of the vote is just as important as guiding the vote
It's Season 44 now and it is only getting worse. I have watched every episode since the very beginning. I am finally done with Survivor. It's just pure luck now. Strategy has no purpose now. They should just have one episode now, with all 18 people just drawing rocks at the end. The person who draws the winning rock is the winner. That's what Survivor is like now.
7:26 "Whatever ELTSE....Someone ELTSES" 🤔 Unbelievable that a person whose probably 65 years old, has spent that long speaking English. Yet hasn't completely mastered one of the most elementary words. Constantly pronouncing "else" with T's in it.
Is it possible that Ricard could sneak up on the the black alliance at Final 5 and become the Swing Vote as they're now forced to eat each other? Still Waters Run Deep. I think there's more to Ricard than we know. I think he's holding his cards close to his chest. Richard, could he be a Sandra? Look how that sneaky lady slithered along in Heroes vs Villains, ended up in Top 3 with Parvati and Russell, AND WON. And the woman does nothing really. She just exists in the shadows, watching and watching, saying a little here and there, and WHAM. She's in F3 with two BIG SHOT Survivors: Russell and Parvati!!! Are you kidding me? So I'm watching Ricard to be a male version of Sandra.
An alliance based on race only seems to be odd or a potential "concern" when it's a race of darker skinned people. An "all-white alliance" is rarely (if ever) noticed in terms of race. Systemic racism has made a gathering of 2 or more Black people perceived by some as a "threat". Black Americans are aware of it in and outside the game. So it makes sense that a Survivor alliance of 4 people who "happen to be Black" might be perceived as a potentially "bad" decision in terms of winning Survivor. But look back to past Survivor games where a Black person won (Vecepia Towery-Robinson Season 4, Earl Cole Season 14, Jeremy Collins Season 31, Wendell Holland Season 36). Did either of them win without there being at least one other Black person aligned with them at some point in their game? I don't remember. But the answer may reveal whether or not an alliance based on race is a help or a threat to winning the game ... especially for players with darker skin. Other questions ... has any White person not aligned with other White players ever won Survivor? Is the attention to race just another distraction in the game?
Survivor is a skill based and individually played game. But just like soccer or football, you are against someone else. With that being said, it’s like if one soccer team finds a “instant win” card somewhere on the field that even if they’ve lost 10 - none, they win. The interfaith and honor of the game dissolves. Probst seems to be getting lost in sauce.
Yeah Naseer was a horrible player. Thought his closest allies were, achem, Shan and Ricard, the two slimiest slimeballs on the cast and it isn't even close. Ricard is awesome.
why after 40 seasons players think its still good to have no game play what so ever and just play follow the leader knowing theres no way they can win by this stage it should be chaos with everyone trying to make moves but no just the few and the rest follow thinking would be good to get close to the end id be happy just to say i got 4th or 5th so il jst be a vote for the winner untill its my time to go

When you said “Why didn’t they try to vote out Xander?” after the fake idol move, you forgot Xander was apart of the half tribe that was immune after Erika’s hourglass decision. That’s why they didn’t try to vote for him.
good point, I didn't noticed it myself, but I admit that this season is complicated, can't wait for the next episode.
It wasn’t season 45
Hey Rich! im just now finishing Borneo for my first full uninterrupted watch. my dad was a megafan of survivor as soon as he heard the concept and your season played on repeat when i was just 3 years old. my dad stuck with the show until his passing in 2009, My mom kept watching but it always just made me sad to even think about.
Agree with everything you said. Sadly, it is the end of Survivor if this continues, imo.
the worst part about the "come on in guys" bit was how obviously staged it all was while trying to seem organic.
😍🥰😘
Jeff screwed so many of you over, especially you... So I don't believe you are out of line with your opinions and views.
Such very kind words! Thank you, Candace! 🤗
Aaaahhh Richard, I’ve been waiting for you!
The OG is back. 👍
OG???
Spot on about Naseer. One word to describe this wonderful, sweet family man: NAIVE.
I think it hurts the show for the audience to feel little to no connection to the contestants. The more modern seasons tend to give us 3-4 characters to know and that they are all that matter. I remember survivor africa, and feeling like EVERY constant except maybe 2 mattered and that I knew them. This makes the show better in my opinion because I don’t watch the show to see who can get screwed over by an advantage, I love the human element and the human connection in the raw moral decisions of humanity and how beautiful and dark and complex our human nature can be
How true.
Another thing is the opening theme. In the old seasons you would be reminded each week of every player, so you better remembered the people voted out. In the more recent seasons that I've watched, I would know the names of probably less than half of the players.
I can't tell you other than erika any of the blue
True asf 👏🏽
I think I can summarize your feelings in a few words, Rich - the more you fuck with player agency, the further away you get from the core of survivor.
I am looking forward to the video where you put all the cards on the table and tell us where this bitterness in his regards comes from ❤️💜
I'm starting to see this ego of Jeff's you speak of coming out
xander the type of player that is a fan fav that everyone is rooting for. but will be voted out at 4. just missing final tribal by one. we've seen it time and time again.
@@JeMand.Anders He fucked up by giving Erika an exemption to the fire−making challenge.
Hi Richard 👋 been a minute since you've posted a video, I wanted to check in with my favorite Survivor winner. Hope all is well with you! 😊
Richard Hatch is one of the best survivors of all time.
“One of?” 😂😂
😘
Seasons 1-40, missed only 2 episodes. Forced myself to finish ep1, none since.
You should do podcasts with old survivor friends
100% spot on.!
To be fair, missing out on the merge for 2 days is kind of a dick move by the producers.
All of the past 40 seasons are better than current 41 Season, my opinion only.
Even One World?
@@GreenBayPayton to be honest, I remember low quality entertaining seasons, but this season is the lowest one, or at least lowest 10,, maybe I'm missing something, but this season frustrates me more than any,,, I hope the next episodes will entertain me like the survivor show that I know.
@@harounalkanderi5128 ok. I understand what you mean. Thanks for the response
Would love to see a video where you share your thoughts on other season's winners.
YES! The preachiness is so BLECH.
I hate the flashbacks about the players life before the game started... i just dont care lol. I care about what they do on the island
I agree with u
Yes Rich, way to many idols and advantages, not enough time with the players.
Cant agree with you more Hatch!
I thought the beware idols were a cool change. Getting an idol later but not being able to vote for a time definitely makes the game more interesting. However I think it's a twist they can only use once. Once newer players come into a new season they'll already know it's coming.
I think the black alliance will be a one time thing also,
@@russellroutt3448 it's possible. People will definitely be more wary of that if they manage to succeed this season
Agree with your analysis and insights entirely. What drives you batty, drives me batty 😩Hope all is well with you!
The Erikha decision bothers me the most because it also saved herself. Without that factor the decision may have been more impactful getting to see who she trusts to save her if she saves them
I'm going to have to watch this is 2 sessions.
Wish you'd got more chances to play! You're a legend
She set to self-implode any day now.
still looking good ;)
Now that rich hasn’t uploaded during the second half of 41 and none of 42, it’s safe to assume this CZcams channel was just in protest of not being in season 40
I love your wardrobe choice! Sexy.
@Richard Hatch One question.... Would you have broken the hour glass? IF yes you could save yourself.
Hatch: An alliance based on race could reduce dynamic gameplay since the members may not seek and execute their optimal moves for their individual games
Big Brother fans: "first time?"
The biggest distraction of Survivor is this Hatch guy thinking his podcast doesn't deserve shirts. What a twist of his own!
I love that you're still keeping in touch with your nudist side. I miss ya, buddy.
I hated the hour glass thing. Winning immunity should be sacred!
I loved Evvie, too. I'd love to have her as a friend outside the game. Inside the game, I think her M.O. could be described as "coasting". That's never successful for very long. She wasn't undercover enough to be a Sandra.
Why did you stop making videos?
"Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity."
- Lucius Annaeus Seneca
Richard, who do you still speak to from your season (if anyone). Who was the last person you contacted? I'm so sad that Colleen shied away from the public eye. I found her so fascinating.
Hatch big fan been watching since day one I have a question did she actually get arrested for not paying taxes on your win and if I may ask if that was true how long did you get
🌹🌹
There is a very certain type of Survivor viewer who loves the show so much that they will watch Hatch's videos. There is also a certain type of Survivor fan who hates the overuse of unfair twists that ruin the integrity and spirit of the game. The overlap between the two groups is nearly 100%.
Hello brother. Fellow rhode islander! Rewatched first season again just because new seasons are whacky and a little to p.c. for my liking.
I agree Jeff is far too involved in 'mis-directing' the flow of the game and am fast losing interest. (If I couldn't fast-forward through most of each episode I'd have stopped watching altogether)
RE: Idols/advantages.
(Although I do agree Xander played perfectly once it was known what he had)
Shan... what can I say? It's all about what she thinks and wants, the others be damned. And when DeShawn (sp?) gives her a clue of how she is perceived, her lame apology lasted barely a few minutes.
I sure as heck wouldn't wish on anyone to be in her cult (whoops) congregation... Seems to me it would be a flat out cult with Shan as the 'god almighty'. Talk about a God-complex.
Jeff... the show hasn't 'jumped the shark', the shark has eaten the core of it.
Deshawn said it best: 'I got debts to pay.' Can't be playing fairytales in a serious game for a million dollars.
This show has turned into Big Brother
Yah I will say that having so many twists and those flashback backstories (which I could care less about and always fast forwarded) was half of the reason I dropped S41 (the other half being that I didn't really like the cast).
Did you hear about 42 and 43
Hope you are okay
Where is the final reflection was looking forward to hearing what you had to think....my opinion Zander got hosed.... she literally was still there because of a twist that had nothing to do with game play she was handed a decision she didn't earn... just my thoughts
Hi Bobby:
I loved Xander’s game.
You okay?
This cast is so great that nothing could ruin this season for me. I agree the advantages and twists have gone overboard but casting is so on point
???
LOL
Xander has been pretty adaptable this season, Ill add
We’ve seen time and time again the adaptable people are the majority of the winners. Even within a strong alliance that never breaks, adapting and getting out of the way of the vote is just as important as guiding the vote
#whereishatch
Twists of chance are not good. Layers like Blood vs Water, Fire Tokens, and Redemption/Extinction Island are good.
Does Survivor and The Amazing Race have masonic influence?
I haven’t watched your video yet, but I love the new “Woketopia” survivor, as Russell calls it
Is it possible that Ricard could sneak up on the the black alliance at Final 5 and become the Swing Vote as they're now forced to eat each other?
Hoping for that huge breasted alliance in S42
So uh
Any reason for no shirt lmao
whatever happened to this channel?
production didnt do a great job this season but the cast is amazing
Yeah Naseer was a horrible player. Thought his closest allies were, achem, Shan and Ricard, the two slimiest slimeballs on the cast and it isn't even close. Ricard is awesome.
Cook Islands but.
why after 40 seasons players think its still good to have no game play what so ever and just play follow the leader knowing theres no way they can win by this stage it should be chaos with everyone trying to make moves but no just the few and the rest follow thinking would be good to get close to the end id be happy just to say i got 4th or 5th so il jst be a vote for the winner untill its my time to go
What happend to you?
Don’t Forget Bob Crowley!! He was making fake idols before he needed em’
