I’m not sure if I have BV but I had a vaginal odor and used boric for 4 nights and it was gone after the first. My gyno just told me bc I used it she can’t test me for Bv until next week, and to discontinue use asap because I plan to have sex in a few days. But if I don’t continue taking it I won’t finish the 7 day cycle and I’m afraid it’ll come back before I have sex. What do I do?

Hi Dr. P. Thanks for your video. Is it more effective to use boric acid in the form of suppository than liquid? I have read success stories of people who use a syringe to apply inside the vagina.
There isn't much available to support one over the other. The suppositories may keep the boric acid in place longer.

In the beginning of the video she says do not ingest. It’s strictly a suppository to be placed in or up the vaginal canal. Only. If ingested it’s poison.

Is BV and a Yeast infection the same thing? I've been on antibiotics off and on for over a month and now I'm itching, burning and has a light ordor. I bought some Vagisil ordor block and now I'm feel worse! It really burns when pee and the itching is driving me crazy. And no im not sexually active. What should i do?
Hello! So, BV is an overgrowth of bacteria, while a yeast infection is a fungal infection - BV can cause a fishy odor and yeast infections often present symptoms like irritation, redness, inflammation, and an itching sensation. From my personal experience with “feminine washes”, I have gotten irritated and it has caused more issues - I have instead used unscented body wash, like Dove, and I haven’t had any irritation with that. I would personally recommend consulting your healthcare provider regarding the irritation, I hope you feel better!
I am no doctor but the fact that you are experiencing this after a course of antibiotics it’s possible it’s yeast…. ANTIBIOTICS CAUSE YEAST…. I got antibiotics over a year now and been getting yeast infection every month after that …. Ntn works I go to the doctor every month NOTHING WORKS
These are 2 different infections. Yeast infections are caused by a fungus. BV is caused by a bacteria. Therefore, treatment is different for both.
