    1st part is about the image she's showing to the crowd
    2nd part is the POV from her group mates in B Komachi
    3rd part is what she really feels
    Last part is her last words to her twins

    Love the song, J-pop seems to have a lot of dynamic sections within the song (almost too much by western pop standards lol), great melodic verses that don't stay within the same rhythmic/melodic patterns, super catchy chorus and great chord progressions, and the addition of the rap sections adds more to that. The melody is very YOASOBI, Ayase's songwriting/composition/production is appearant here with some similarities to their other stuff yet still refreshing and new sounding, Ikura does a perfect job with her lyrics and vocals too. Yoasobi is such a great duo

    Yeah you got it right, the last 3 sentences was:
    "Ah, I can finally say it.
    This is definitely not a lie:
    I love you."
    I know japanese a little, so I understood it(and some other parts) from the very first listening and, even without watching the serial yet, I learned pretty much about what is going on in this show... And now I'm scared to watch this anime, because I don't want to cry every time listening this song which I like so much...

      Trust me man, you need to watch the first episode. I did find the anime through Yoasobi MV of Oshi no ko and was bopping my head to it. Decided to watch the first episode and man I went into a mental daze and was mentally unstable for 4-5 days. Avoided personal responsabilities felt so voided and supressed during school and when I was home just napped and skipped working out. I always teared up thinking about the show. I only listen to the Yoasobi MV when I was sad now and would always tear up when she gets behind Aqua and Ruby and says "I love you" I was mentally okay and chilling before I watched the first episode. I am back to normal now since a week ago and I am pretty happy again and me being at the bottom of the depths during that time gave me a new perspective and allowed me to re-evaluate now I have new goals in my life. I will admit I was mentally stressed during that time and was thinking of a lot of not good things. This anime will always have a place in my heart now and I will cherish it for the rest of my life and Yoasobi MV definitely one of my favorite songs. Can't decide if Oshi no Ko or Running into the night is better which is also made by Yoasobi. I just enjoy watching people react to the first episode now and MV. Hard times create stronger men if that's for sure. If you do read this, I hope this convinces you to watch the anime. Try your best not to go out of control but crying is a must when watching the first episode, I just don't advise people to go through what I went. I can pretty much listen to the Yoasobi MV now and not get sad as I use to and can jam to it again.

      @@tenshi1333 I know, and I want to watch this serial. But I don't want to cry, I'm very sensitive person and I cried even in love is war(at the end of ishigami's arc in manga) even tho it's romcom. If I'll watch drama from the same author, I'll instantly die. Lol

    About that contradictory statements from Ai about herself. "You're not perfect, I can't forgive you" was one of those words. Even though i can fully understand that nihonggo i can feel what they want to portray.

    I don’t know if you noticed but the last lines in the song are also what ai saids at the end. Also we see ai actually happy and performing properly after she has the twins compared to when she was in the costum

    I love your analysis of the visual symbolism in the video to coincide with your comments about the music and lyrics. This song has been on repeat for me since I saw the first EP of the anime, and it hits so hard every single loop.

    I really loved your reaction; you’re the first reaction I’ve seen with knowledge about the serie and basic Japanese.
    I been reading the manga since 2 years ago and I was excited when the anime announcement came out.
    I never thought it would became so much popular and viral; that speaks so much about all the staff behind and the creators of the series because they’ll being putting to much passion and to much love in this project.
    YOASOBI also made a marvelous job with the composition of the song, it really portrays all the essence of the series, the happy part of being a Idol but also the dark side of this world, all the symbolism in the MV and how the main theme in this work is a lie.
    The MV makes us believe is a cheerful show with maybe kinda messed up moments foreshadowing key elements in the plot and also give us an introduction to the twins, the crucial point in this MV and also all the advertisements and the Ep 1 are laying to us; lies are love, through the lie of this video and the first episode makes us love Ai…………an then we see the reality.
    All the lyrics of this song and also the ending are carefully orchestrated to the serie. That last verse hurts, but also the visuals are so emotional, I was tearing up the first time I see the MV.
    I’m speechless, so many details in all of this; and also 45510, the novel released explains more lore and it was written by Akasaka himself.
    Marvelous, brilliant, and masterpiece and a excellent example of how can you bring life and expand a lot a multimedia project.

    But I'd love to see you do the tv op, because yeah different visuals there. Also might be worth seeing if you can get a subbed version of what you watch because there's a Lot When you know the lyrics for both op and ed

    I am impressed that you picked up on the patched up heart! However, you missed the significance of the TV--so that I won't spoil it for others, I'll just say, think back to one of Gorou Amemiya's early patients (while he was an intern) that was highlighted in the first episode of Oshi no Ko. Also, I am Twitter friends with the translator of Oshi no Ko fpr HIDIVE and he has said he's translated both this song and the ED and has submitted them to Sentai/HIDIVE, so I hope that t\at least the TV version will get subtitled soon.

    I'd say this anime is an obligatory watch for anyone engaged with idol/idol-like culture.
    I refuse to say anything about it other than it being one of the best ways to understand not only idol culture, but the entertainment culture in general in Japan, and in part across the world as well.
    EDIT: should be a safe reaction material. Literally every single other reaction channel I watch reacted to epi 1 but this and Allonsyyy. That means 8 reaction channels. And I saw many more on my feed. Also, despite only a single episode released, it's currently marked as most watched anime of all time on MyAnimeList, I believe, so a lot of people would tune in for the reaction.

    So the first half of this song is basically from the perspective of one of AI’s idol group members talking about Ai, and the second half is from AI’s perspective

    For the 2nd verse, with the "nai" part, you are almost correct. The "nai" is more specifically means "isn't", though that can be used in the context of "can't".
    Going back to the part before the shift, the lyrics indicate that it's from the point of view of others, like the staff / colleagues. They are talking about her like she's best and that everything is thanks to her, and that they are simply "B" roles or side characters.
    Now, as the shift happens, the sentence actually ends just after the shift happens, and is the first sentence to end with the "nai". Basically they are say that "all this success is thanks to her, NOT".
    Then it goes over various things, saying that "she / this [depending on the sentence] isn't...[topic here]".
    There is 2 sentences that I find interesting, though partly that is also because that's the part I could understand clearly. Those are "Kimi jya yurusenai. Jibun o yurusenai." Which translates to "You (kimi) can't (nai) forgive (yurusu / yuruse). Can't forgive yourself (jibun)." And considering that entire verse is from the PoV of staff / colleagues towards her, I am wondering what they are trying to say here.

    • @granito555
      @granito555 Před rokem

      So, "nai" can be "not", "isn't" or "can't". Then, it's a flexible negation which meaning depends on to the sentence being negated, am I right?

    • @granito555
      @granito555 Před rokem

      Also, I'm glad I read your comment, because I thought she said "Urusanai" instead of "Yurusanai", which messed up the little comprehension I had of the lyrics.
