- Lo spegnimento della tv analogica neglio USA è stato molto più entusiasmante e interessante di quello in italia dove se ne sono fregati altamente, percui ho deciso di fare questo filmato commemorativo di questo sistema di trasmissione che è stato in servizio per più di 70 anni. In luglio 2012 l'italia ha finito la transizione al digitale in tutte le regioni. Purtroppo questo dvb-t è già praticamente obsoleto visto che ci sono tecnologie superiori.

In realtà in Italia è stata mandata in onda anche una pubblicità di 6 minuti riguardante proprio il cambio di trasmissione da analogico a digitale, ed è stato documentato anche dai vari TG Regione. Per quanto riguarda i decoder DVB-T hai ragione, sono diventati obsoleti in Italia da qualche mese, ed al posto di questi ultimi, i decoder dovranno essere di tipo DVB-T2. Purtroppo, anche se per legge i vecchi decoder dovrebbero essere fuori mercato, se ne trovano ancora parecchi in giro, specialmente su quelli integrati nelle TV più piccole e quelli venduti a parte.

They only shut down in the US in 2009. Other countries like the UK finished shutting down their TV's in 2012, Australia in 2013 and Mexico in 2015 and some still have them working. So really you can watch analog TV's today but you're not in the right place

I can’t believe this was one year after analog TV shut down in the USA
Many broadcasters here in Brazil ended up turning off analogue transmissions, there are some that haven't turned it off yet or there are retransmitters that pick up the analogue signal but not all, There are cities that have retransmitters with analog signal, There are cities that ended in 2017, others that ended in 2018 and the ones that they have not yet to turn off analog transmissions.

In July 2011, the digital switchover took place in Japan. What was unique about this was that every television station had to transmit an information screen on their analog signals between noon and midnight on the day of the switchover. Initially the transmitters were to shut off at noon on July 24 but technical limitations prevented their from happening and as a result the transmitters shut off at midnight. The networks chose to end regular programming at noon however, and this is what appeared:

The switchover was delayed in Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima Prefectures because of recovery efforts for the Tohoku earthquake that damaged these three prefectures and analog transmissions there shut off on March 31, 2012, which was the end of the 2011 fiscal year.
Imagine keeping your analogue TV on that screen until 12am, and sitting in front of the TV at 12am on your own with no one else in the house, in complete darkness.
