- Domino The Destitute
If you had the courage to stop me from turning
Into what would be the worst in everybody's eyes
Hey i'm no angel or the devil of your conscience
To tell you who to be. good bad ugly or otherwise
If you had good common sense your choices would be grinning far less
I want no part in this self-deprecating worthless chemistry
We made our beds to lie in them proud proud of our great mistakes
This warring knife the flash of this blade turn about-face
I implore you brother
Don't walk away don't walk away from me
'cause this is our war
Oh you think they have it all while you were left with nothing
Oh oh you've taken the fall for them to walk all over
You made your bed so soft and comforting
These dream await the grey good morning
We made our beds to lie in them proud proud of our great mistakes
This warring knife the flash of this blade turn about-face
I implore you brother
Don't walk away don't walk away from me
'cause this is our war
This won't hold forever
Your time has come it's now or never
We made our beds to lie in them proud proud of our great mistakes
This warring knife the flash of this blade turn about-face
I implore you brother
Don't walk away don't walk away from me
'cause' this is our war
One by one we are together we fall together
One by one we are together we fall together - Hudba
This music video is years old but i Just noticed something....When Domino hands his brother the wand of money in the end...its only 50 bills.... throughout the whole video we see 100 bills flying everywhere until he hands over the wand of 50's.. Domino still at that point was using his brother for the heist, still using him and destroying his relationship of his girlfriend\or wife. Only up until he reaches his brother's hand in the demise of the heist does he feel regret. Key Entity Extraction: Domino The Destitute, if you follow the story then you'll know that Domino regrets it all up until that point. But its too late and forever will he be a spirit in the Keywork...a worthless cycling soul, only until the end, asking for forgiveness of his brother for what he has done.
I wish they did videos for the other Keywork Entities. I would pay so much to see that. I also think I may cry if I watch Evagria's story.
Ivoriania Phillips imagine Vic
This song is heartbreaking even without the video. The video makes it real. Not too many folks can make music like this anymore
This song was inspired by former bassist Michael Todd's drug addiction.
Then look deeper..just sayin. Dont give up on music..there is good stuff out there. :)
Honestly one of thier best songs to date..
Damn, this song is pure, self-deprecating scorn. No other song comes close to matching the melodic and lyrical intensity that this beauty has.
I will forever relate to this song in so many ways
Only 90k views? I swear people underestimate how powerful and emotionally charged this song is. Love this song so much and it's so killer live. C&C BEST BAND 10/10
The original video had more obviously
Every time I watch this music video I get sucked into the story. It fits so well with the music, it's unbelievable! Incredible experience every time.
I'm a maladaptive daydreamer and have made two characters in the image of Domino and his brother, but I made the story different
Why isn't this one on their official youtube page? NIce video!
This song is a masterpiece.
FUCKING AMAZING. Domino and Sentry are my 2 best entities.
I remember exactly where I was, the moment in time this video dropped. God bless coheed and Claudio
Such a cool song with the announcer voice added
1:04 When she gives you that look
i always get goosebumps when I hear 5:16
+j o o n i e again and again and again over and over that 20 seconds, yessssss. love it
I get goosebumps the most from 0:00 to 8:01
I get what you're going for here, but an "unexpected" change in music is what usually triggers goosebumps. That's why it's that part forward for me and the person who commented before you
+j o o n i e True. I just very much enjoy the entire song, and I agree with what you're saying.
epicpizzasapien This song is phenomenal, so I totally get it! That probably came off really rude, but that wasn't my intention.
I'm tied between this and Sentry as my favorite off the Afterman albums. I just can't choose!
The correct answer is Gravity's Union. ;)
Thalaranias You have a good fucking point
Damn.
Jeez it's like they don't even want to let their own art stand up. Why isn't this video around anymore?
Always loved this video. This should be Jon Jones walk out song for the UFC!
First off, because its Coheed! And....
Well, steroids.
I always thought the "la la la"'s where "Your number". That make somehow makes the intro more emotionally enticing.
Awesome clip to a brilliant music!
i relate with the freind great song
Ai ai como eu amo essa musica,na moral, ainda vai sera minha musica da colação de grau
Best of the best 👍😎👍😎👍😎👍😎👍
I thought the lyrics were off base on the video. Lol still a great song and best music video ever.
The lyrics and the music video are actually based on each other. The lyrics is about Domino and his brother Chess, and how they both ended up in the end.
Join the coheed group on fb guys
Cortney Keylon Which one, I’m assuming Cobalt and Calcium?
Good Apollo:Im Burning star 4 vol 1 best hands down
nwft good Apollo 4 vol 2 has some choice cuts
It pisses me off when people call them an emo band. They're one of the best bands ever. Musically speaking most bands are no where close to Coheed.
I couldn't agree with you more
+Jeremy Seal the were emo from their starting point as shabutie and throughout SSTB, but they transition more into post hardcore and progressive, now i dont know what they are lets call it KEYWORK+Progressive rock, hmmmm keygressive, yep that is it they are keygressive
+Ryan L no shut the fuck up. Please
+TakenVortex
Someone is a little obsessed with labels. They have never been "emo".
given that their entire body of work is a concept album saga, I don't really see why they couldn't be labeled as emo for a particular chapter or something. They're here to tell a story and if that story gets depressing, there you go.
Oh I get it, Domino.
captloki13 I don't. Can you please explain?
Sporky
In Domino's living body, he was a boxer being trained by his younger brother Chess, but as their story progress Domino slowly gets pulled by an organized crime boss then his life slowly crumbles around him like a 'domino' effect. Later he convinced his brother Chess to do a heist with him promising to share the big payout with him for his wife, but the heist went horribly wrong ending up with Chess gunned down.
That's the obvious. Domino is at the top of the world. Forgetting what got him there. He embraces the strength and power and uses it to enlarge his ego. His brother feels hurt, wishes his brother back the he was before the corruption. Domino fuckes over his brother in the end. His brother wanted a way out for him and the one he loves. They both fall.
I at least deserve a Nobel Peace Prize because of academia. I was a high schooler at Marist College meticulously studying political science (savvily).
so dark...
how are there so few likes here...this song is fucking epic
The lyrics say the opening words are "la la la" I always heard is as "your number".
why was this taken out from vevo?
+Antonio Rodriguez i think it must have been either because of the violence and drug suggestions, which would make sense, that or they wanted to clear out some music files they posted
Dude, you're missing half the lyrics...
The intro sound like me trying to play and sing AC/DC - Thunderstruck
I LOVE THIS STUPID BAND #HAIRGATE2018
