Welcome to the video special edition with commentary on the build, problem areas and tips for building this kit !
AFTER I made this video I was lucky enough to chat to the Minibase creator... some tips --
1) Radome slightly shrinks as a result of moulding process... add internal bracing to restore the shape and size.
This Sukhoi 33 is the naval Flanker with beefed up gear and some external changes most notable the folding wings and folding tail planes.

They spend more than 5 years to design this model kit, which sounds crazy to me. That’s why there are so many parts and details. I guess their next product should be Chinese Navy J-15, a cousin of Su-33, if this new player can survive to next one...

If people are complaining about 'too many parts and too many details', then I'm sure there's an alternative kit out there for them. I would also find it worrying that on a brand new kit to have parts left over or not called out in the instructions. As you say, there may be some future releases of other variants of this plane, but without knowing that, I'd be left thinking that I'd missed something or there's something left out/off.

They are a set of simplified design "main landing gear down position lock". The design team was originally worried that it would be too difficult to assemble a complex locking mechanism at the opening of the Flow hood，So a simplified alternative was added，But in the testing phase, let some friends who have never built a model to assemble, they can all successfully complete their assembly according to the assembly manual，This reflects that the original worry is completely unnecessary，Therefore, the simplified version of the replacement parts group has been cancelled in the assembly manual. The model can be constructed in the most accurate form.
